  2. Hello friends! I'm curious to hear from anyone about 5'6" with an approximate starting weight of 260 that had a sleeve and how much you lost at 3, 6, 9 & 12 months. I know everyone is different. Just interested to see the range! My surgery is at the end of May. Getting excited

    Synthroid

I think the only way to know for sure is to have your TSH & free T4 measured. Also, are you on branded Synthroid or generic? Generics only need to be 80-125% of Synthroid & you can't control which generic you're on so could be like bouncing between 75mcg - 125mcg each month. That's a range of 5 different dose strengths! It's a "narrow therapeutic dose" drug, meaning small changes in the drug can mean big clinical differences. It could be that before surgery your body could tolerate the fluctuations but now you're more sensitive to them. Also, the only way to know if you're on the brand is to look at the pill. It needs to say "Synthroid" on it. Pharmacies switch it all the time. Full disclosure: my company makes Synthroid & I used to sell it

Yep, yep. I totally agree and didn't mean to absolve her of all responsibility. At the same time I think this also shows how the kind of support we have can have an impact one way or the other. The program I'm in has a huge emphasis on support systems for that very reason.
  7. Wow, you girls are awesome. So inspiring!!

  10. Wooowwww, you look incredible!!this is really encouraging you must feel so fabulous!!
  11. Awesome! I want to be you . What was your start weight, if you don't mind me asking?
  12. In addition to the above, what about egg whites? 1 egg white is 3.5g protein. I buy hard boiled ones and throw out the yolks. You could also get egg beaters & scramble some up with some spinach and tomato. Yum . Surely 3 months post-op you can move beyond shakes! Good luck!
  13. I feel your pain! My best advice is to buy the highest quality running shoes you can & wear them even when you're not working out. My feet hurt more after being bare or wearing slippers! Also, get compression socks. They really help. Finally, soak your tootsies in warm water with Epsom salts, contrasting with ice water to get the circulation going (5 minutes in each, and do each twice). Bonus tip - get regular pedicures and pay extra for an extra 15 minutes of massage. As for at what weigh your feet will feel better, I can't help you. I'm still pre-op. Good luck with everything!!

Happy Birthday! To me the problem in this situation is your husband. He clearly either does not support and/or understand the changes you need to make in your life to be successful and healthy. A hotel stay & restaurants less than two weeks post-op is setting you up for failure. In fact, it's outright sabotage. He needs to pave the road for you, not put obstacles in your way. A considerate, supportive husband would never ordered champagne & truffles to the room and if they showed up without his prior knowledge he would've ordered their immediate removal. You made a life change & need to find different ways of celebrating. If your husband isn't supportive of that it will be that much harder for you. You deserve better & need to demand better for and of yourself. I agree with the therapist recommendation. In addition is there a bariatric support group you can go to? You need all the positive support you can get. Good luck!!

    psych eval

I'm not sure I understand your broken English. I'm guessing you want to know if the psychological testing needs to be performed by licensed psychologist. The answer is yes. Not all psychologists perform these tests, however, as they are very time consuming. I recommend getting referrals from your surgeon, then cross-reference the names with in-network providers for your insurance provider to get the best coverage as they can be expensive otherwise.
