  1. Sleeved on July 1st. Hi, I have done the strained creamed soups and yogurt. I did take chicken noodle soup and placed it in a blender due to craving flavor so bad. I would say it was very liquid purée. I am to start purée next Monday, so I think I may have rushed it a little. I can only take in about 4oz of thinner liquids at a time and the thicker cream based soups 2oz. I am still having trouble getting all the protein in and the water. I get about 30 of protein and 24 of water on top of the other liquids during the day. I have no appetite and do not feel hunger yet. I do have cravings but it is not for anything specific, just flavor. I am looking forward to the purée so that I can get more flavor and hopefully more protein then I have been able to get in during the day.
  2. Hello, I stopped here since I am three weeks post op and stalled as well. Reading above is this appears to be common. Not that we are all not disappointed, I do have to state that I did find some comfort in seeing that I am not alone. Thank you all who shared before so that I feel normal...lol.
  3. Wishing you best of luck!

    1st July Sleevers

Haven't started purses yet. Next Monday I start...I never thought I would say bring on the puréed chicken...lol. Looking forward to the next stage.
  5. Just stay on track and it will pass. I had a rough week but when the second week came I felt much better. Extremely tired is all at this point. Emotionally not sure what you are referring to, but I have been crying on a drop of a dime, and that so is not me. I think it's due to being tired. Best of luck
  6. Hello, Yes I started with my period as well after the surgery. It had been months for me as well. As far as cravings, yes and no. I have no appetite, what I realize is I am missing flavor. The diet right now is extremely bland and sweet, I am missing salty, savory, smoky and such. I was not a big sweet eater to begin, so I am missing the other right now. I just keep telling myself eventually I will be able to eat again. If I think of a particular flavor I am missing, I look up an alternative recipe, so that when I can eat, I can do it the right way. Best of luck.
  7. Hi, glad to see your success! Keep the faith and stay focus...you can break this plateau and all will be worth it!
  8. Hello, what I was told by hospital staff that if your hairless is within the first three months of the surgery it is most likely from your anesthesia. If your hair loss comes after then it is a lack of protien in your diet. I am very recently post op so I have not had the personal experience to the hair loss and fingers cross it will not happen. I hope this information helps.
  9. Congrats on the loss. Anytime the scale is going the other direction is a good day: )

  12. Hi! I had my sleeve on July 1st. I had a little of a rough time after the surgery with nausea and gas. I was unable to handle the. pain meds. I am doing much better a week later. I have no appetite still. It's been hard getting protein and water in at this point. My highest weight was 380, I lost some prior to the pre op liquid diet and have definitely lost since the surgery. I am down 39 lbs ! I have a long journey ahead of me but I am taking day by day, pound by pound. I am excited about starting my new life. I have no buyers remorse at this point and hope I never do. I wish all of the July sleevers the best in this new adventure of our lives!
  13. Hi, Unfortunately I do not. I had my surgery at Kennedy Hospital by Dr. Fakulujo. Did you check the surgeon section of bariatric pal. You can search for the surgeon and if anyone that had the surgery with him should be there. Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey.

July 1st is my big day!

No problem. I just refocused the nervous energy to preparing myself which I why I became nervous in the first place. I hadn't researched or even thought what I needed for the surgery. I started reading my written instructions daily and buying pre and post foods so things are better for me. I'm in the excited phase now. So glad you are excited. I know i can not wait. Looking forward to my next chapter in life.

July 1st is my big day!

Hi all. Just wondering how all is doing with the liquid diets. I am doing ok so far. Though walking down my street, I can tell what the neighbors are having for dinner these days....lol. It smells so good. Lol
  23. Conflates on your decision to get the surgery even though support sounds limited. I have found this site to be extremely supportive in many ways, hope you do as well. How often do you get to the Philadelphia area?
  24. Good luck to all that have added threads. I hope all is going well.
