  1. Wowzers!! 8 weeks! Well done. That is such an achievement and 21kgs so far. You must be so proud of yourself. Good luck with your surgery! I am 3 weeks post op and it's the best thing I have done. Dal:)
  2. Thanks Jenpez. Feel better now.
  3. I weighed my self today,(weigh every wed.) it is my 2 week anniversary. I was pretty bummed as I only lost 1.3 kgs this week. Now I know it's better than a poke in the eye with a stick but considering it was a good week if I managed to eat 1/2 weetbix and 1/4 cup of soup I was kinda hoping for a bit more.. I am having a musashi HP shake for brekki and an opti for afternoon tea to keep up my protein. Now I am dreading next week in case I gain.( I read all your posts about the dreaded 3 week gain) What was everyone else's average weekly loss? Dal
  4. Go girl! Your are losing heaps now!!! Awesome! Just wondering do you ever get hungry at all?? I have to force my self to eat. Kinda strange. So glad you are doing ok! Dal
  5. Ps. Those are great stats.. Mine are; 100.6kgs on the 7/5, On the day of surgery I was 93.3 21/5 Last Wednesday I was 91.2 And I will weigh again this Wednesday. Really hoping to hit the 80's. Oh and I am 167cms
  6. Hi Jenpez, My surgeon was Dr Victor Liew and had my surgery at allamanda:)
  7. @@Ozikiwi How you going girl? I am very proud of myself as I just had a 1/4 of a cup of soup for dinner and 3/4 purée weetbix for lunch!! Feeling great. Love my sleeve already. I feel back to normal now.(minus being able to eat much) Can't wait til wed when I move onto soft food!
  8. Hey, My advice is to wash your hair and shave your legs the night before your op as it's a bit hard to do your hair in hosp with a drip in and I haven't attempted my legs yet. (I am 12 days post op) Also my dad bought me a Soup maker and it is my best friend. All I do is add the ingredients and it makes it into soup in 21 mins.. And it blends it all up for me!! ( I made potato, leek and bacon tonight) Dal
  9. Thanks heaps, I might try that for lunch:) do you mix water into it to make it runny?? Or is it ok as long as it's smooth?
  10. I am bit sick of liquids too! I haven't had anything but soup and custard. You should check out my surgeons website (drvictorliew.com) he has all the info on the after surgery diet that I have to follow. we are allowed purée too but I don't know what I should purée so I just make different soups every couple of days. Can't wait to move to soft next wed!!!
  11. I have 1 in year 3 and 1 in year 1 also!
  12. Btw what did you guys all eat on your purée stage? I know obviously soup but what other things did you try? I am allowed liquids and puréed food until 2 weeks then soft food!! Soup is good for now but I am getting a little bored !! Thanks guys
  13. Lissa, You are amazing!! I have followed your journey and I think you are a true inspiration. Congratulations on all your hard work:) Dal Ps pls keep popping in all you older sleevers. Love hearing how you are going! X
  14. I am in Norfolk village:) Small world eh! My eldest 2 go to Norfolk school.
  15. Thanks misty, I actually just bought some musashi HP chocolate one at the chemist warehouse this am. It's pretty yuk but I will deal with it as it better protein than optifast. I will look out for vanilla next time.
