Hi everybody, At 5:00 I switched to the water only diet until midnight, then nothing. We have to be at the hospital al 5:15 am, I kinda want to go,to sleep now so that it will be here already! Just curious, when I had my pre-op stuff done I was given special cleansing wipes to use 1hour after I take a shower tonight. They said it was to cut down on mersa infections. Is this new? Has anyone else had to do this? Hkmom

My surgery is on Tuesday, and now I am a little anxious. On the plus side I wasn't hungry today, I had a very angry stomach. The shorts I wore today kept trying to fall off, that was awesome! Hkmom

Hi everybody today is day 5 of liquid diet, I am unsung the premier Protein and they are pretty good if you put them in the freezer for about 15 minutes before you drink them. I find that they keep you full for about 2 hours. Has anyone had low blood sugars on the liquid diet? I don't have diabetes but my daughter is a type 1 diabetic, I was feeling shakes and nauseated yesterday and we checked my blood sugar and it was 80. I had some orange juice and felt much better. I was doing grocery shopping for my family today and while in the produce department I had 4 cherries...it was the yummiest thing I had all week. Surgery on Tuesday excited and nervous! Hi all, I am on day 3 of my pre op diet and have only lost 1.4 pounds, hope to see a bigger drop tomorrow. The dr only wanted me to lose 5 to 7 lbs before surgery. I am sure I can do it. I have been having lots of stomach cramps today and constipation. My surgery is on the 15thmin Los Angeles at usc keck. We have to be there at 5:15 am for surgery at 7:15. This is going to sound totally silly but I am really looking forward to not going to work and taking naps. Cheryl

What kind of stuff is on your pre diet. My surgery is 7/15 at usc keck. I start my liquid diet on Monday. Do you think applesauce is something I could eat in my pre surgery diet. Very excited for this new part of my life to begin!
