I need help... I am getting so very frustrated... My dreaded 3 week stall has lasted 31 days. This is getting ridiculous. The scale has been playing with 2 pounds for 31 days... Did I mention I have NOT LOST WEIGHT in 31 days!!! Here is my "typical Day" Breakfast- Protein shake Drink a large Crystal light. ( I add about 28 ounces of water with one of those tiny packets) Morning snack is Yogurt Lunch is a slice of roasted turkey with some mustard, or maybe a bit of cheese. (2-3 bites) afternoon snack is another protein shake DInner is sometimes caned chicken with cheese, or some refried beans with cheese Then evening snack is my Homemade pudding pops... (Sugar free pudding with double protein powder put in popscicle molds) What am I doingwrong!!???!!! -

plane ride home from Mexico any problems?
7.14.14Sleever replied to MeganC's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My flight home from Mexico was 1 hour flight, then a 2 hour layover then 5 hour flight... I was able to find vitamin water which was good to have. No fizzy no sugar. and I walked pretty much of the layover time. Other than feeling bloaty, and the smells of the airplane grossing me out, I did pretty good.... Just remember to walk and sip, repeat. -

For reflux... the only thing that helped me is Prilosec ... It comes in a capsule... I emptied the insides in my juice. The story I was told.... Your tummy is confused it is still making enough acid for the big tummy.... I took 2 a day. -

That is a hard one to describe... I would just say... GAS bubbles.. Painful gas bubbles.. BUT they go away pretty quickly.. Just make sure you drink/eat very very slowly and it won't be a problem. -

I was told the same thing... she said, " liquids in liquids out" ... Not what I wanted to hear... I tried mixing my shakes with almond milk,..but still went through... She recommended me to go back and do more of the clear protiens. so I ordered Nectar to try... Then REASSURED... I heard this will only last till we eat purrees! THERE IS AN END IN SIGHT. -

I had it so bad I couldn't sleep at night. Dr said to try PPI's at night, and if that didn't work go to 2 a day for a couple days. then taper off. I finally slept last night... Thanks to Prilosec. IF all else fails Gaviscon.. but beware of TUMS http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Frefluxdefense.com%2Fheartburn_GERD_articles%2Fside-effects-antacids-and-acid-blockers.html&h=WAQE2fhsm -

Wow. Gottadosomething I soooo look forward to cheese... Today I braved a real chocolate protein shake (not clear)... I used Premier Protein from Costco. first I diluted it with equal amounts of water, so it wasn't so thick.. first few sips... OOOOO soo yummy to have something other than a fruity flavor.... then....For those of you who haven't tried to do this yet.... lets just say.... STAY CLOSE TO THE BATHROOM! -

CONGRATS!! Also... don't forget that breathing machine... totally worth 10 breaths an hour! Congratulations!!!! Walk as soon as you can to help with the gas. After the swallow test, you'll enjoy water like you never have before, only in teeny sips. Tomorrow won't be so bad. The day after that will be the worst, but the payoff makes it TOTALLY worth it. hey man how do you keep up with vitamins I take my son's chewable vitamin... although I don't chew. I suck on it. I found one at Costco that has very little carbs. -

Yes I'm definitely in the the same place I've been trying to get as much liquids and protein in as possible but of course the protein is horrible and I can't seem to get down a whole bottle of anything with it in it I'm even trying that unflavored protein they gave me in the hospital but I don't kno what to do as far as that's concern Not sure where you are in eating phase. I am in puréed. One of my favorite go to protein foods is sugar free/fat free instant pudding with two scoops of my vanilla protein powder and 1/4 cup PB2 powder. It s really good and very satisfying. I AM STILL CLEAR LQUID FOR 2 MORE DAYS... BUT THIS SOUNDS YUMMY... can you tell me how much pudding you put in? -

July 30th sleeve!
7.14.14Sleever replied to n0ble199's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 9 days out... I am glad I did it... but no one told me of the weight stalls. Just be prepared for anything. Things that changed this past week.... 1. SMELLS are exaggerated and some are deceiving. Have a hanky ready if you are in a public place to breathe through. I sat next to a guy eating beef Jerky on the airplane on the way back from hospital. I thought the jerky smelled like road kill. and the stewardess had some awful perfume... the combo was not pleasant! 2. those first days of drinking... a sip means a teaspoon...not a tablespoon... else OUCH 3. prepare for nap time for at least the first 10 days (cause that is where I am at) 4. make sure you have Gas X strips! I took some on the way home from hospital... boy do they help with the gas pains. 5. try to find a couple clear Protein drinks... I like unjury chicken broth... but it is getting old. and Isopure (rightfully nicknamed isopuke) 6. Have some adult liquid Tylenol for when you get home, OR have a way to crush some pain pills. 7. your gauze when you get home... get the kind that doesn't stick to wounds.... learned that the hard way! 8. stock up with your Clear liquids and have a variety. (fruity G2 and Jello... gets old too. ) and get rest! Good luck with your surgery!
