    Urination.

I had this same problem. It lasted about 4 days after my surgery. It came back slowly. Don't fret....my entire surgical team said it was typical and normal.

8 days post op cheater :/

My doctor heavily encourages blended fruit shakes with added protein. He mixed me one up the last time I was in the office that had strawberry blueberry orange and a few other fruits with unjury protein.

    Frustrated with nausea

Kris-- So glad the Zantac is working for you. I take my zantac every 12 hours and i use Tums for anything minor inbetween. I also went to hospital to get hydration thru iv and i seem to be looking up ever since. Been eating more which is what i needed. Keep in touch!!!!!

    When is popcorn okay?

Thank you to each of you. I'm not a brave go'er so as much as I love popcorn It may still be awhile. But I feel a bit better knowing it's not too much of an issue with the majority. All people are different though. Thank you for all the input to such a specific question
  5. Popcorn was one of my many sliders as a lapbander.....so I am curious who can tolerate it as a sleever? I am a little more than a month out and a handful would taste amazing. I am not one to push limits or break the rules....but I am also very scared to try popcorn ever again, given the consistency. Just curious what other sleevers have done.
  6. I am in your boat girl! I had surgery on july 8th and i just cannot hack it! I had to go back to work light duty on july 30 and i can barely make it through a 5 hour day. The drive home and walk to my bed feels like the death of me! Im always weak, tired, naucious, and have no energy! U are not alone!!!!

    Frustrated with nausea

My surgery was july 8 and i too am going through this very exact ordeal. I am miserable! And food/drinks makes it worse! I am on zantac and it only helps me minimally. I have no hunger feeling so its not hard for me to skip eating. But whats worse is never knowing how im going to feel if i try to! The naucious feeling almost has me scared to not even attempt it. In turn, im weak and dehydrated because of this. Not sure where to go from here. Hope things look up for you soon. Know that your not alone. The loss in weight isnt even exciting to me.....i think id rather feel overweight and decent than losing weight and horrible!

    Pep talk, please!

I am a band to sleeve reviser. I will be a month out on august 8. I am still pretty miserable with recovery. Not taking in much and not really sure where i should be at this point. I am never hungry and its extremely hard for me to eat. I had no real big issues with the band but decided to do the revision because i was so scared of the complications that are rising from the band. My doctor also highly reccommended it. I lost a total of 100 lbs with the band in the 4 years i had it. It kept me in check a lot. I learned the band very well when i had it and if i didnt feel like being good....i also knew how to eat around it. With that said, im tired, scared, and simply exhausted the past month trying to learn the sleeve. I dont know up from down and im trying so hard to just keep trucking and things will get better. Just know everybody is different and each struggle gives us wisdom to succeed in our own personal journey! Good luck to you!!!

    Woman only please

I was wondering the same thing. I am on birth control and i am usually a 3 day cycle and it was 2 days longer this month plus some spotting for a day. Its been my first period since my surgery. Although it was longer, it was on time. But yes....definitely more of than usual.

    Got My Date!

Virtual- Sounds like you are over the hump! Have you experienced any hunger at all? I haven't and absolutely NOTHING sounds good. Its really hard for me to get in anything because i never want anything. My biggest complaints are constipation, no appetite, right side belly pain, and having to crush pill form pills due to one getting lodged the day i came home from surgery ( leading me back to the ER ) i am only 6lbs down from surgery day but i only know that cause my doc weighed me today. Lol Im okay with that though. Im terrified of lose skin issues. Keep posted girl! :-)
  13. Had my surgery on july 8, 2014. I was a lapband to sleeve revise. (No issues with the band....simply tired of the inconsistencies) Highest weight before band: 334 Lowest weight with band: 243 Sleeve surgery day: 230 Not trying to focus on all negatives here because i am only 8 days out. Just providing insight to those pre-sleeved and looking to find similar stories like mine so far. --Ask for pain and nausea meds per IV PRIOR to waking up from surgery. I had a horrible experience because they failed to do this. --Take liquid meds if possible. Crushing pills are not tasteful in the least no matter what u mix them in. Don't learn the hard way and get a pill lodged the same day you come home and have to return to the ER!!!!!! Very painful and unpleasant. --Gas pains are real. Be prepared. I am 8 days out and still feel the aftermath of those bastards. --Don't get so discouraged if you feel hunger after surgery. I am one of the ones who doesn't feel hunger at all and i am having a horrible time getting in any amount of nutrition. In turn, i have absolutely NO ENERGY. And constantly out of breath. (keep in mind i am usually fairly active and can keep up with most anyone) this is very emotionally and physically draining. I don't want food and if i think i do...i am a half a bite in and i hate it and waste EVERYTHING put in front of me!!!!!! --Unless you have a desk job.... Take the time needed off of work. There is no way possible i would be able to return to work 8 days out. My job is fairly active and labor driven. I wouldn't make it an hour at this point. I would recommend 2-3 weeks minimal to those who are on their feet and moving a lot. --Have plenty of pillows for comfort. They are your friend. --Do not overload yourself with Protein powders before hand. I cant even stand the smell of protein much less the taste at this point. Buy it as needed and variety is key. --keep faith despite every hardship. Its a journey...... U can cry if you want to. Nothing worth having is ever easy. Good luck to all sleevers and revises!!!!!!!!

    Got My Date!

Virtual....how are u holding up? Sorry i just seen your reply. We can share stories :-)
  15. I was feeling the same way you were. Being on this board made me sad cause there's so many people who have little to no pain and I'm still on paid meds. My surgery was on July 8th and I am 5 days out. I am not a medicine taker but it's getting to the point if I have to leave the house I make sure to bring pain meds!!!! My doctor was so certain I wouldn't need them after day 2!!! So not true! I had a lot of pain in my right side. I am also a band to sleeve revise so I was wondering if that played a role as well. Good luck to you. Today is day 5 and I haven't taken any pain meds yet today so maybe day 5 is the breakthrough day! I was also able to sleep on my side last night!!! Hope all gets better for you. :-)
