Ketone in urine
Brandi Nicole replied to newlady2015's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The last diet I was one before my sleeve they measured my keystones and having them meant I was loosing. -
I threw up constantly for five months. They found nothing wrong with me at all. I had endoscopy, ct scan every test and nothing was wrong. Now at six months out I am finally better but I really watch how much food I put in my mouth at one time and how fast I eat. It gets better so hang in there. Some people just take a lil longer to recover.

I don't know guy's...I need Help.
Brandi Nicole replied to HalloweenBaby24's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Things happen. I know a guy who went to Stanford for hip replacement and had a heart attack on the table. He was in great shape at one of the best hospitals in the country and he didn't make it. The odds are in your favor. You never know what medical conditions people have going in to surgery unless you know them personally. It's a terrible tragedy when things don't go the way we want them too but again things happen. You are using a surgeon who has lots of experience and many many positive outcomes, you are also young. You should be informed of course but we take chances every day. Especially on the freeways. My sleeve was so easy. The best decision I have ever made. Think positive, be positive and look forward to the future. -
Where are you having it done? Name of surgeon? Thanks and best of luck I'm sure you will love it!

I am also throwing up 3.5 months post op. They think I developed a hiatal hernia. My surgeon said its a common occurrence. Hope they figure out what's going on it's very frustrating. -
Wow you sound exactly like me! Sorry but it actually feels so much better knowing I'm not the only one with with these feelings!

Best Mexico Doctor?
Brandi Nicole replied to Tear Bear's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hands down Dr. Ariel Ortiz. On of the few Centers of Excellent in the world. Google him. He's been in Newsweek, Oprah and many other publications. He is nicer than ca be nod gives the best service. Had him for my sleeve in April 2014 . Maybe a li more but if you have a hernia he will repair no extra charge, there is a doctor MD on the floor 24-7, if you have any issues at night he will be at the center within 30 minutes and have you picked up at the hotel right away, he has done the most bariatric procedures earning him the center of excellence accreditation . He works with Dr. Martinez who is wonderful as well. If any complication or concern arises once you get home he will talk to you over the phone and have you come back ASAP and handle it right away. Seriously, I heard people talk at the Marriott and Dr. Ortiz patients were all very happy and treated better with more information and follow up once you get home. Google him. You can read about him yourself. Loved him an Dr. Martinez. -

Question about surgery in Mexico
Brandi Nicole replied to TonyaNKy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Fly into San Diego. The van will pick you up and bring you back. I would recommend the center of Excellence in TJ. Dr Ariel Ortiz runs it and his place is the best. The plastics center is called The Ariel Center. Saw many people having successful procedures when I has my sleeve. A doctor is on site 24/7. And they always answer the phone I had great care there. You will be at the TJ Marriott before and after. -

Dr. Ariel Ortiz at the OCC
Brandi Nicole replied to Kindle's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
You made the best choice. He and Dr. Martinez and their entire staff is top notch! I was there in April. You are in the best hands they do more surgeries than any other surgeon and have the best results. -
I am 3 1/2 weeks post op. Surgery was a cinch. Drs Ortiz and Martinez were top notch. Could not have been treated any better in Tijuana. My only problem is nausea. It's horrible. Worse than any morning sickness I have had with 3 pregnancies. If I'm not vomiting I feel like I want to. I can't take it anymore. I can't do my normal routines because I'm always on the verge of puking. How can I get a handle on it? Omg it's awful.
