  1. Post op since April 15th. I started smoking again. Besides normal reason smoking is bad for you- will it effect the weightloss or cause any problems because I really don't want to quit again right now
  2. Crap your right my outside scars are still red and sensitive. I didn't think of it like that. Dang I love smoking almost as much as how I used to love food lol thanks for sharing that info. I'm done with cigs I didn't go through all this to mess it up now I'm just past the hump. Thanks again!
  3. I quit before surgery and stayed off them until just this week. I'm 2 months out. Like isn't the stapled area already healed by now?
  4. Going onto 4 wks post op this coming Tues and I have got the worst case of PMS and I'm not premenstral at all! I have been so emotional - little things set me off and I've been crying and getting angry at nothing sometimes. I swear I have a hormonal imbalance right now. I heard this is normal but how normal?? Maybe should I see a specialist to test my blood for something? I can't function like this for long, it's very draining. Any advice...?
  5. I am 4 wks post op and I also use myfitnesspal. I eat between 450-550 but most importantly I focus on getting at least 50% -75% of my food being protein and the rest being carb or fat. I was 242 preop I am 210 today.
  6. Any reason why I wouldn't be able to take a dip in the hottub? I know when I was released from the hospital it was showers only but I'm 3 weeks post op, my stitched areas on my tummy are healed- I can go in right? Hopefully someone answers this quick cuz I really want to go in right now!
  7. Just figured if follow up- I saw my surgeon today and he said yes to hottubs. He looked at my incision areas and said I'm fine for soaking. I am 4 weeks post op as of tomorrow.

    burning feet

    I would seek medical attention on that one. Doesn't sound like a typical sleeve side effect... I've heard of hot flashes and cold spells but burning feet...?
  11. You're fine- don't beat yourself up. I'm 3 wks post op and I eat around 400-450 a day. I wouldn't eat burritos tho- the dough is not good for you. Beans, yes- breads, no- they are a waste of space. I eat tuna, puréed chicken, salmon, stuff like that. Try to remember your new belly can only hold oh so much so don't give it junk. You didn't ruin your surgery tho and if you overrate you would be spitting up. Your probably just full and your gut is probably just confused a little. Maybe take a little walk and try to get your meal to process. Hopefully you'll feel better soon. Good luck and hang in there!

    I just want to cry

    It's tough but you can do it! If you're on puréed foods then make some grilled chicken and baked potatoes for your family. Take your 2-3 oz portion of chicken and 1-2 oz of potato, toss it in your blender, purée it and sit down and eat dinner with family. You can get thru this stage!! Keep that weightloss as your motivation! When you said yes to this surgery you knew this was going to be a hard road- you gotta stay positive and motivated. Remember food is fuel for your body.
  15. You are started puréed already?? That seams awfully soon for being sleeved last week. I was on liquids than yogurts and applesauce for a week, I wasn't allowed puréed til week 3. Be careful jumping that fast...
  16. I had the craziest hot flashes since my sleeve surgery 4/15. This past Monday I met with my endocrinologist who ran my bloodwork, sure enough I needed to drastically lower my thyroid meds. The surgery definitely causes hormonal changes. If you have any prior hormonal issues it is wise to have those hormone levels checked and treated.
  17. I'm on puréed (sleeved 4/15) and I am full and satisfied for 2-3 hrs after a few bites of mush. The growling happened to me for the first week or so but now that I'm eating more thicker foods it doesn't do it as much. I very much thought it was hunger but maybe it was just similar sound and feeling- maybe it was just the stomach juices bubbling up and being confused with what was going in. Quite frankly I couldn't tell the difference between farts vs poops, burps vs barfs or anything that was going on inside me until the past few days I haven't felt normal. We need to just stay positive and follow the protocol and we should be fine.
  18. Milk of Magnesia had me going in 30 mins- lasted about 2 hours. I highly recommend, I had no idea I had that much poo poo in me. Additionally I have been going regularly since this little cleanse. I am 17 days post op.
