I see this was posted some time ago and I am in the same slow spot as you lwprice now. What has your progress been since?

Thanks AuriP. I'm pleased with the weight I've lost until I read people that have lost like 40 pounds in a month and then I'm like...what am I doing wrong. Lol
-
I am 3 weeks out from surgery. I was losing pretty good the first 2 weeks and then last week when I moved on to soft foods really haven't lost anything. I have only lost 15 pounds. I am wondering if it is because I am not getting in enough calories. Last week I was getting in about 250. The past 2 days I've managed to get closer to 350-400. Where is everyone else at?
-
I know that every body is different and will lose at a different rate but at this point I am losing so slow I am trying to figure out why. Obviously I will stick with it as I don't really have a choice but just seeing if there is something I should adjust. thanks for your replies.

How to heat protein powder?
fedup08 replied to brown eyed gal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mix in cold and then heat up a little. Do not mix in hot water. -

Did you have to pay your surgical copay upfront
fedup08 replied to Natasha Estrada's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work in washington state for a medical insurance/provider company. Not in the bariatric program though. I know a lot of the terms are not consistent throughout the states but that's how it would work around here. Co pays are set not percentages and Co insurance is your portion of the bill you are responsible for. Sorry. -

A copay is the set amount due at time of service regardless of the service. A coinsurance is a percentage of the final charges that you are also responsible for. Those are in a bill after the charges are completed and insurance is billed and then you are as well. -

Just speaking medical insurance wise, anything referred to as a copay would need to be paid at time of service. Co - insurance and deductible is usually billed after the fact. -
I am still preop but was wondering what people's limits are for sugar grams. How much are you able to tolerate after gastric bypass? Wondering if it is totally up to the person or there is a general rule. Thanks.
-
I'm just wondering what people have found is the most they can tolerate without dumping. A girl I know says she can only tolerate 9 grams of sugar in items where her husband can do 11. Wondering what others have noticed. Thanks. Hope that makes better sense.
