Thanks for the compliments. I do mess up every weekend and I told my doc that yesterday and he told me thats ok just so I get right back at it and don't do it everyday.

I had my one year appointment today. He was pleased with my loss. He told me I was at the top of the class. I was 155 in his office. The doctor wants me to see a plactic surgeon to remove the extra skin on my belly. I have an appointment for April 7th. Not sure if im brave enough to get that done but I am gonna check on it. He told me I am a sucess and he don't care if I lose any more weight. My bmi was 28 and said that most americans are overweight according to the charts. He did say as long as I want to continue losing he will work with me. To be a normal weight I should weigh 136, he thinks if I had the tummy tuck I would probably be that weight.

I am also one year out today. The day of surgery I weighed 260 pounds this morning I weighed 159. 101 pounds lost in a year sounds good to me.

Well I am no longer staying at the same weight I am now up one pound. GRRRRRRR. Guess I shouldn't have complained about staying the same weight for a full month. I am actully up 3 pounds from my lowest, and the week end is coming. I really need to leave the junk alone this week end and eat healthy when I go out.

I was reading the posts from last March it was kinda fun to go back and read them. I read someone said they would be glad to fit a size 18 clothes. When I started on this journey I was wearing a size 5x and I thought if I could only weigh under 200 or fit anything that didn't have a X after it I would be really happy. Well now that is happening I have been anywhere from 157-164 pounds in the past month and I can wear 14-16 clothes and am I happy with that???? Not really I want more. Are we ever satisfied??? Will we ever really feel like we have reached where we want to be??? I set a goal of 150 pounds and I know now I will not be happy with that. I still deal with the head stuff everyday, all day long. I know I'm not hungry but I want sweets or junk. I feel it's a constant battle to fight off the urges. I really thought by now that would go away. Granted I am not eating 2-3 candy bars a day and I am not eating a 1/4 bag of chips a night, but it's still hard to say no. It seems I do pretty good all week. I make meals at home and they are healthy 95% of the time, but I eat out every sunday and most saturdays. I don't just go to a place and order grilled chicken I'll go someplace stupid like pizza hut, then I'll eat cinnamon breadsticks dipped in the yummy icing. Last saturday I went out for lunch and got a chicken salad I thought yeah I'm really gonna stick to this diet this week, well them my daughter came home from visiting her aunt with a big plate of the yummiest Cookies. I took one small one and still thought this isn't too bad but as the day went on I ate 5 and them put icing on a few of them. I finally asked my friend to forbid me to eat another one. On fridays when we have out weigh in I'm back down to my lower weight or close to it and then by monday morning I'm up 3-4 pounds. The closer I get to goal I seem to gain/lose them same 5 or so pounds over and over again. Exercise is going pretty good for me. I go to curves 3 days a week and walk 3 miles at the mall in the mornings before it opens 2-3 days a week. I remember when I started to exersize it took all I could do to walk around the mall for 1/2 mile and I was slow, I had people pass me all the time, now I am never passed and I can do the 3 miles pretty easy. So are we failures I guess we are not if we go look where we was last year. We just need to learn to be happy with who we are and what we have done. What are your goals for this next year? I want to get under 150 pounds and never go above that. I want to wear a size 12 dress or lower. I want to continue exercising 5-6 days a week. I want to say no to junk food more often. I hope to come back in 12 months and read this post and even if I get discouraged along the way I want to see that I really did succeed.

Stayed the same again. I have been up and down for the past few weeks. Hope things soon move again.

When you need to lose 200+ pounds, how do you get started with exercise?

I was about 180 pounds overweight now I'm about 25 over. I didn't think I was able to exersize, but knew I had to do something. I started walking around the outside of my house. I would walk about 15 minutes but had to stop and rest. I would be so winded and my chest and back would hurt. I just kept adding a little bit more every week or so. 18 months and 155 pounds later I walk inside the mall before the stores open I walk about 3 miles and it takes me about 45 minutes. Once winter is over I will walk outside. I also do curves 3 days a week and that almost seems to easy now. It amazes me how far I have come with exersize. You can do it just start out slow and keep pushing. It will get easier. -

I ate out way too much this week and had to many sweets and tomorrow isn't looking like a good day food wise either.

Hey fenton I struggle too. I deal with this stupid head hunger all day long! I even gain weight sometimes but then I fight to lose it again. I sure don't think any of this has been easy. Today I really ate all the wrong things hershey kisses and brownies and went out for both lunch and dinner, but I am not quitting I will just work harder tomorrow. We can do this! We all have come too far to not make it work.

Well one of my goals was for my boobs to be bigger than my belly and so far its not happening. I think I'll have to buy padded bras.

I pretty much wear a size 16 both top and bottem but my belly is still pretty big. I think my face and shoulders took pretty thin and my legs are not too bad.

I have 6.75cc in a 10 cc band I just had .25 added last week and it seems to be working good. I think I'm at the sweet spot hope it stays for a long time.

I lost 55 before surgery so that makes a total of 155 pounds gone forever!!!

SpecialK I think part of my success is because I never yo-yo dieted. This was my first real diet that lasted more than 24 hours. I am probably eating about the same as the rest of you. It seems if I eat less than 1000 calories in a day and exersize that day I will be down a pound in the morning. I would say my average calorie intake is 1200 a day, and sometime I go as high as 1500 calories. I try to eat at home most meals and that seems to help a lot. Once I go out to eat at a resturant I blow it almost everytime. I joined curves and do that 3 times a week and I've just started going to the mall and walking for about 45 mins at a time about 2 days a week. Remember 55 of the pounds I lost was before surgery, so I sort of had a jump start. I'm going to my granddaughters 1st birthday party tonight and I plan on eating cake and ice cream! Normally I do not eat any junk food if I stay home.

I bought the wii fit today. Didn't have enough money for the wii so will get that later but figured its not so easy finding the wii fit so better get that while its available
