    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

It's been 2 weeks since my tt and I am starting to feel better. I am getting my energy back and have been doing more cooking and cleaning. I still have my 10 year old help me and she's doing a pretty good job. She complains sometimes but I think it's a good learning experience for her. I am still wearing the compression garment and after 2 weeks I figured it needed washed. So I had a spandx thing I bought to wear later and as the compression garment was being washed I thought I would wear the spandx. It is like a pair of panties but goes up higher on the belly, and like a body suit it has snap on the crotch area. I asked the dr what size to buy he says a small. I told him I don't feel small and he says well you are, so I bought a size med. Well as I was trying to put it on I put my legs in first and it just seemed too tight and I was scared to pull it up over my sore belly. Then i thought I would open the snaps and put it on over my head. I put both my arms in and it wouldn't move. I was stuck couldnt get it on or off. I finally did and threw the stupid thing on the floor so not sure what I will do when I get out of this binder.

Amanda post some pictures so we can see how great you look. I'm sure you do look good but there is more to come so leave the bread, salami and cheese alone and reach your goal. I think I am over the dizziness I sure hope so anyway.

Special K 1200 calories in liquids sounds like a lot would never think they add up so fast. That extra Protein should jump start weight loss. I have thought of doing the 5 day pouch test mostly because I know I eat more food at a time than my doctor wants. Thought it might help me feel satisfied quicker.

I had another follow up appointment with the plastic surgeon today. I was suppose to go on wednesday but I had another passing out episode this past Thursday so he had me come in early. He said looks like I am healing well and told me I still need to take it easy. I think I'm finally starting to get more energy. I am so ready to be able to do things again. Even housework sounds exciting, and to be able to cook a meal on my own without having to ask for help. I do think my boobs are now bigger than my belly so I am happy about that. My belly is still swollen so I think it will just get better.

Lynn, the doctor thinks I should be feeling pretty good by 3 weeks out. I think I could drive now if I would stop getting dizzy. I am sure he won't give me the ok for that till I get that figured out. I don't have no problems sitting now. Because I'm bored I sit here at the computer for a long time. I don't think I would be ready to go back to work yet tho, but I am only out 11 days so far.

Kathy I am feeling far from fabulous. I hope I will in the next week or so. I had another dizzy passing out episode on Thursday. The dr thinks its just my body adjusting to all the changes it has been through. I am just trying to take it really easy and not doing much at all. I have a dr. appt tomorrrow morning. I can't wait till I am healed and I can go on with my life.

Penny, My mom was always worried about my weight. I told her a few times that I was thinking about getting gastric bypass about 8 years ago and she said that really scared her. Then 3 years ago when she was sick with cancer my cousin had the gastric bypass and lost a lot of weight and looked really good my mom said to me maybe weight loss surgery would be good for you. I was think thinking of the lapband. I was able to tell her that I was still thinking on it. So I feel like she gave me her approval. I really wish she could see me now at 135 pounds. At our family reunion 2 weeks ago my aunt saw me and the first thing she said is she wishes my mom could see me.

Thats a good feeling to not be recognized. I have had that happen too. We went to a funeral on my hubbys side of the family and they all wanted to know who was with him. One day we was at a festival and I was working beside a lady that I know and we talk but aren't close friends or anything and she looks at me and says I dont think I know you? I said yes you do, and she was like, oh my god, and kept apologizing. It really dosen't hurt my feelings. When I look in the mirror now I see my sister, some of my family think I look like my mom. They both died 3 years ago so I feel good to be keeping them alive in my new looks.

    Unnaturally cold all the time

I am always cold and my hubby is just the opposite. He has always sweated too easy. I think I was just about normal as far as temp before surgery. We are always turning the air off or on when the other isn't looking.

    Had a tummy tuck today

Insurance paid for most of the surgery but woudn't cover the top sag so I paid for that myself. That cost almost $4000, more than what I expected but I knew I wouldnt have been satisfied with the top roll. Just the doc charged $3000, then had to pay for the extra time in the operating room and anistesia

Penny I sure don't want no breast reduction. My boobies are flat and not much left of them. I guess I could have checked on getting them filled up but, didn't want the extra expense or pain.

    Had a tummy tuck today

Had my follow up appt today he took off the binder for a few minutes I saw my belly it was swelled but not saggy. I'm allowed to shower now so will do that tomorrow. He said everything looked good and said I was healing good. Still not allowed to do anything. I'm gonna go nuts with my hubby in the kitchen. I sit and give orders but I am so ready to cook myself.

Had my follow-up dr. appt today. He said everything looks good. I go back next wednesday. He hopes to remove one of the drains by then. I saw my belly no sags but it is still swelled guess I'll have that for a while. I am so glad the worse part is over and am looking forward to the benifits yet to come.

    March Bandsters: MASTER THREAD

I'm doing pretty good. It only hurts when I move. I have a sore spot on my lower belly that hurts, I irritated when I threw up on the way home, that seems to be the worse of it all. I really haven't been doing much, sitting at the computer, laying in bed or on the chair in the living room. My hubby and 10 year old daughter has been helping. After lapband they didn't do much and I threatened them that they better help this time, so far so good. I have a follow-up dr appt tomorrow at 2 30 they will then take off this binder and look at things. I hope to see a flat belly! I will still have to keep the binder on for 3 weeks but will be allowed to take it off to shower. I hope I feel thin after this. I worry I still won't feel satisfied. As of this morning I weighed 136 that is with the binder on, so I think I might actually be in the normal weight once the binder is off. Can't wait to find out. I am back to drinking Protein shakes he wants me to drink 2 of them a day. I hate them so bad but I want to heal so I'm doing it.
  24. scrappy_friend

How long for the compression garment?

Well I am only 4 days out so still have the binder on but this thing has an inch and half foam between my belly and the elastic. Will that foam stay on the whole time I think it makes me look 20 pounds heavier. I have a dinner that I am invited to in 2 weeks and I hope I don't have to have this thing on for that. If the foam wasnt under the elastic I think I would be fine. So tell me do they get rid of the foam part first????

    Had a tummy tuck today

4 days out and bored to death. I have very little pain. Taking pain pills at bed time to help me sleep but really don't feel the need for them during the daytime. I been laying around and giving out orders to my family. After I had my lapband surgery my hubby didn't help much at all. He wanted me to got this tummy tuck so I threatened him that he better be here to help. So far he has done good. Still would be so much easier if I was able to just do it myself. I'm excited for tuesday to come so I can see my new belly. Will be nice to take a shower and wash my hair too.
