Well yes, I'm doing it for me but damn it he's my husband and father of my child so I can't exactly be completely selfish of his feelings towards the whole thing.
He may be scared (for you, medically). He may scared (for him, socially--afraid you'll get 'hot' and 'fine,' and other men will find you sexy, attractive, etc.) But your BMI is very high/unhealthy, and you have to do what you must for you, him and your kid.
