Looks like surgery might start later then 7:30. Been waiting to register since 5:30 and now it's 6:09, Ive never seen a waiting room so crowded at 6am! -

I was told to take mine at 10am. I'm not aloud to have anything after midnight. My husband isn't making today easy either.. "I had two cheese burgers, fries a smoothie and I'm still hungry" as he eats a pudding cup with one reserved on the side. -

I didn't have to do a liquid diet. Today (the day before) I'm on nothing but clear liquids and a nice fat 10oz bottle of nasty liquid laxative :/ -

I'm still Pre-op till Monday (The 8th) I found something called Pocket Protein, It's 20grams of protein for 2oz and taste a lot like a 5hr Energy shot which is not too bad. I tried the unflavored Unjury and it was disgusting couldn't do it. -

Feel the exact same way you do. My surgery isn't until 9/15 but my emotions are all over the place. One minute I'm so excited and nervous and the next minute I'm freaking out thinking about the worse that cam happen. I hope I don't back out at the last minute. But good luck to you and I hope your surgery goes well. Please keep us updated

It's good to educate yourself on the good, the bad, and the ugly. It's just scary because my friend is a young mother who had all the same hopes and dreams for this surgery as I do, And now she's living through hellish times. I know this is something that doesn't happen to everyone but still a little uneasy to know it exist.

It's day's like today that remind me why I'm doing this, Nothing fits right and I feel horrible about myself and depressed. Don't feel like doing anything or going anywhere.

Having one of those kinda sucky days , hmmmmm ?? It happens to all of us , banded or not, but I will tell you, I never, ever have a day when "nothing fits right, and I feel horrible about myself." anymore ! I feel reaaaallly good about myself since being banded, I hope you start feeling good really soon ! Hugs !!

Was just curious on how many times you got to visit with your surgeon before surgery? For me, I had my consultation appointment May 14th 2014 and that was the first and last time I saw my surgeon. I tried getting another appointment, but because it is summer and he's a busy man there was no availability. My surgery is September 8th and I'm getting a little nervous especially since I only met this man once and now I have to trust him to do surgery on me. Did anyone else have this experience with their surgeon and do alright? I guess a lot of people who go to Mexico have this experience and do well..

The original poster had put up a topic in the "Pre-op" section of BP titled "Bariatricpal scared me Sh**less". I don't think any of the comments were negative as they were trying to be real and honest with you, I read through ever one as I was one of the people that commented on it. People are still posting under the thread even though you've made it quite clear your not ready for surgery, and that's fine..But you can simply delete the thread if you no longer wish to hear the opinions of others. You seemed to take offense to some of the options others had. I've never had a negative experience here, yes there have been thing's said that I didn't want to hear, but I needed to hear them most of the time..

So I had my pre-op class to go over the nutrition and basics for after surgery on 8/12, When I got there they asked for a $20 copay which I thought was odd because I was there for a Class. Here it is 2 weeks later I get a statement from the surgeons office for $334!, In which I now owe $118 of. They charged it as a "Office Visit". Did anyone else have to pay for their pro-op class?..Should I call and fight this?

@Sophieschoice It was a class of about 15people, I was aloud to bring a friend with me for support (I brought 3). Definitely not a one on one, It was an class they require all patients to take before the surgery I just assumed it was part of everything else.l I was never told otherwise. -

I never had any required seminars, and the seminar they did offer was free. I had a 2hr class that just went over nutrition and eating after surgery that was required. Not sure why it was required seeing as the Nutritionist I went to went through all the same information.. The surgeon wasn't even in the class. -

I had my consultation appointment In May and was never billed once, other then my co-pay.
. In my case , I am HOPING that I do not wake up after surgery and they will tell me they only could remove the band and because of too much damage they have to do the sleeve in a second surgery
