How did you lose 20lbs in 5 days?! Wow!
-
When you lose weight, the hormones that we're sticking to the fat cells release, and hormone party happens inside you. For a LOT of people, this leads to lots of emotions. I cried for the entire day on day 5 post-op. I'm better now but stupid things set me off. The only cure is patience apparently. Feel better!

Hey cherry tree, feels like your pressure dropping: dizzy, cold swear, nausea, you sort of feel like you're gonna pass out. I freaked out for 10 min then googled it. Apparently once you get it you have to wait it out. Passed in a few hours. However, definitely put me off cheese for a few days!

Day 15 today and I just got the clearance to DRIVE! I am so ready to leave the house. I'm in the purée stage of the diet but very stupidly ate a piece of cheese yesterday and got dumping syndrome almost immediately, that was NOT cute. Not exercising yet cause I'm not drinking enough and my nutritionist says it's dangerous. Good luck to you all!

Any May sleevers out there?
arielacr replied to irishcailin68's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You guys all sound like me! Last night I FINALLY slept somewhat after having my drain removed, which was driving me nuts. But I still have pain in all my incision sites (especially my belly button!), I have a hard time sleeping, sometimes the liquids go down great and other times every single sip is painful. They say once you hit 8 days, it gets better. Here's hoping! Anyone else getting a little sick of protein/nutritional supplement/juice? Or is it just me? ???? -
Any May sleevers out there?

Hey ladybug, I feel exactly the same way! My incision sites are sore and sleeping is the worst! I'm on day 5 and getting my obnoxious drain removed today. Hope you feel better, let's keep in touch! -
Woohoo! You're almost here!

hi Doll I was May 12th as well but I had no drain my only problem was gas I stayed 3 days because I wasn't getting enuf liquids in Hey butterfly! Is it ok if I friend you? You're the first May 12th sleever I see besides me so far! You're lucky you have no drain, I think it's made this recovery a bit harder for sure. And the gas? I still have it, mostly because I can't go walking around with this drain, it's too painful! How are you getting your liquids in? Any tips? I just feel so full all the time!

Hey Lori! Everyone is different. I've had visitors at home and everyone tells me how good I look considering I just had surgery (I had a hernia repair at the same time). However, as good as I feel, I don't know that I would be able to attend an event just yet. We are taking in such few calories that it's super easy to feel tired and run down at first. You definitely shouldn't drive that soon after surgery, maybe if someone goes with you just in case you feel badly, it would be ok. Is your doctor accessible enough that you can text or email and ask him/her?

Good luck! I'm 5 days post-op and I am happy to be on this side, despite the pain and surge of emotions and everything else that comes with it! Yay for you!

Hey all! I got sleeved on May 12th and am trying to get used to it all! I have had pain every day since the surgery, mostly manageable with pain meds but sometimes not. I think the drain they sent me home with is the worst part! Hoping to get it removed at today's appointment. Kind of hard to get back to normal life with a little plastic container hanging off your stomach! Other than that I'm feeling good. I still have the gas, still can't tell if the stomach rumbling is hunger or the gas, but I am trying to follow the doctor's orders. I am having a very hard time getting my protein in, how do you guys do it? I barely finish drinking one thing when I'm supposed to be drinking something else!
