I've been on the weight loss rollercoaster since my late 20's. I've lost and gained well over 200 lbs. The most effective way of eating for me was Carb Addicts. I lost 60 + lbs doing that (1998) and was able to donate a kidney to my brother. I kept the weight off for 3 years then it started to creep up when I was unable to walk for a while (fibromyalgia).

I've also done weight watchers, nutrisystems, and south beach with varying degrees of success--mostly related to how much I exercised (I found 10,000 steps and was able to add walking back in most of the time in spite of the fibro).

I'm now at my heaviest ever (after losing 50 lbs and gaining back 60).

I feel like losing weight again on a diet (or a way of eating that I will abandon for whatever reason) is counter productive. I need help. So I'm just starting the process of determining whether that help will be bariatric surgery of some kind. But I have questions, questions, questions....
