Just yesterday I picked Bamboo Silica from health food store. Nutritionist recommended. Has anybody used it and what was the results? Does Biotin helps? Loosing hair in hoardes since the past 10 days. Surgeon told me not to worry as it is temporary due to change in body and will re-grow. Keeping my fingers crossed. Any feedback on Phylia de M products?

Hello March Sleevers, wanted to know what kind of daily meal menu are you guys following 3 months+ post surgery. Please share your sample menu? I was sleeved on 18th March and have lost total of 55lbs, 42lbs since the day of surgery. Happy with the outcome, though some shortcomings. From being plus size 2X I am now size L T-shirt and from size 18 to M or 14-12 in pants in the regular clothing section. 2 days back I noticed hair loss. I am pre-dominantly vegetarian and getting my Protein intake mainly from lentils. Quantity of food is still very less, like 5 bites per meal. I am wondering if this is causing hair loss. I workout 2-3 times a week, doing resistance training and 15min of cardio; I get a massage once a week hoping it will help with loose skin on my upper arm. Would love to hear from you all

Oh my!! What were the symptoms that you felt with the leak? I was under the impression that once the stitches heals on the stomach there is no danger of leak. -
Maybe we can form a local support group and share knowledge and ideas. Keep each other motivated to achieve our goals?

I can admit at times too fast, but too much is impossible and the first sign of being full I stop. I know a person who never had gas problem at all. Does the pain from gas cause stress on the stitches?

I was sleeved on 18th March, my food intake till the puréed stage was perfect, with 0 discomfort. But ever since I started on soft food diet it has been challenging. Very often I suffer from terrible gas pain, right after I finish eating, which lasts for 15-20 min. I usually walk a bit to provide some relief, but basically just bare the pain till it goes off. I have started to dread the sight of food. Does anybody else have a similar problem? When does this stop? Will I ever feel normal and at what stage? I know every individual is different but would love to hear other people' experience. On the positive note my total weight loss so far has been 47lbs, I have started going to the gym doing full body resistance training and cardio. I take multi-Vitamin and Calcium every day and gas med twice a day which I feel makes no difference. Drinking Water is a struggle, doc suggested 3 litres per day I can barely manage 1.5. I also take Glucerna for Protein shake, any inputs on that?

Kind of workout and pre and post workout meal

Thanks Ginger, will ask a trainer but don't know yet if there will be one who will have the knowledge or know how to handle the needs of a person with VSG. So trying to equip myself with others knowledge and experience If somebody has any answers please let me know. Cheers -
HI All, I am a new member of this forum. I was sleeved on 18th March, 2014 and now in my 7th week after suregery. I have taken gym membership and seriously want to start a workout regime. I have few questions: 1) What kind of workout should i begin with? 2) What should I eat and/or drink before and after my workouts? 3) What kind of Protein powder is best? Sunwarrior a good choice? 4) I am on soft food diet currently, eating about 1 cup of total solid in a day and about 2 liters of liquids. My concern is do i have enough energy to do the workout? 5) How many days a week should I go to the gym 6) Any suggestions and tips will be more than welcome. Please respond if you have any or all answers to my questions. Thanks
