Found your site through my bariatric support group at Denver Health and Hospitals Surgical Weight Loss Center, in Denver, Colorado. So far the process has been great. I go to monthly support groups and nutrition appointments (just finished these for now until after surgery). It is quite the process to go through, but I get it, it is a life changing thing that we are contemplating doing. There are psychologists on hand whenever you need them. This is also a requirement in order to be welcomed into the program. You must see the psychologist to be evaluated. Keeps you on track. I am a pretty happy go lucky person. Try not to let little things bother me, but when i realized that I was so struggling with trying to lose weight that it actually weighed upon me like a wet blanket wrapped around me and hard to carry. I decided that I needed to make a change. Portion control is my biggest problem. I have been approved for surgery pending attendance at another support group on May 2014. Then I meet with the surgeon, and they do pre op stuff. Approximately 30 days later surgery happens and so does the rest of the journey. Yes it is scary, but the reward will be epic!
