    Orgasmic workouts?

I've had similar experiences a handful of times at the gym. while on an exercise bike and in yoga. I figure on the bike its caused by the vibrations. and as for yoga my theory is that some of the positions cause uterine contractions (which occur normally when a woman orgasms) plus a lot of the asnas are super sensual to begin with anyway, and my mind wanders. when I have a workout that I'm not looking forward to I download an erotica audio book onto my ipod and it helps me to stay with it LOL did I just admit to that ?!?
  2. I was banded on 7/31/07. In the first 13 months that i had my band I rapidly dropped weight losing 130 pounds in the first 13 months. Then I went for another fill, that I was hoping would land me at goal. It was done under fluro, but even still I was far too tight. I stayed with it for months being stubborn & foolishly ignoring the discomfort and other signs of a problem. Finally when I couldn't take it anymore I was unfilled and because I had hurt my stomach in the process ALL of my fill was removed. I regained about forty pounds before I was filled back up to my sweet spot again so I had to re-lose that weight. I learned my lesson and have been very careful with how tight I am. The pounds no longer melt off so I exercise even more then I had previously 6 days a week either doing cardio, elliptical, belly dancing, zumba or yoga. This past April I completed my first half marathon. I've had many NSVs, but landing in Onderland feels incredible!!! Goal here I come !!!
  3. I was struggling with a fill which was far too tight for a while. I was losing weight well, with Oneder land in my reach. I kept telling myself that once I lost enough weight the fill would feel looser and I would be fine.Riding it out was a bad bad idea. After a while I started to have difficulty eating solid Protein and turned to mushies. Which caused a small weight gain (5 lbs) but I quickly re- lost that weight by exercising more. I really became concerned when I started to have bad reflux and was coughing up acid at night. At which point I finally came to my senses, realized the damage that I could be doing my stomach and my band and went to the doctor. I needed a complete unfill, but thankfully didn't cause any lasting damage. So now I am waiting for my stomach to heal and to begin the process of finding the sweet spot. I have regained about 15 lbs and weigh as much as I did back in July 08 (7 months ago) when I got the fill that put me over the top. So from this experience I broke even and I consider myself to be very fortunate that I am able to keep my band. If I had gone for a slight unfill at any of the initial signs of discomfort instead of being stubborn I probably would have continued to lose even if it was more gradual. I am immensly frustrated with myself and my all or nothing mentality. Here endeth the lesson

    1/2 marathon & food??

i just completed my first half marathon this past April. I was very tightly restricted at the time. during training including up to the night before I focused on lots of protein soy, fish, nuts & lean protein shakes as well as healthier forms of carbs such as apples& bananas. I was able to drink as much water as I needed during the actual race. A few hours after the marathon I was actually very hungry which is very odd for me and was able to eat a tuna melt, and i really never can keep down white carbs. Protein is also a great source of energy.
  5. i am going to chime in and say that i have some loose skin on my arms and my thighs. i'm still hopeful that enough exercise will tone those areas and i can avoid ps. lately I've noticed that my outer labia are getting smaller/ tighter a completely unexpected NSV. I have to say that overall I'm actually happy with how my vagina looks with weight loss and even better i can look straight down and see it these days :cursing:

  7. So frustrated with national chains having 1 price for an item online and another price for the same item in store. it's almost like a penalty for getting off your ass and going to the store.

For Women only: 1st fill, period, weight gain

I'm tighter when I menstruate, sometimes its hard to eat but as it tapers off I become looser. So maybe you felt a bit of restriction at first b/c of your cycle and as it begins to end you no longer have that extra tightness. Some female bandsters avoid doing fills during their period for that reason. If your still too loose give your doctor a call when you are no longer snowed in good luck

    Its muscle not fat right?

It’s snowing heavily outside so I’m spending some time on lap band talk, yep even the men’s room  and came across your post I was in a similar position I dropped 130 lbs in 13 months and was my surgeon’s star lap band patient Basically I allowed myself to become too restricted, which played havoc with my stomach and overall health. I need a complete unfill . I wasn’t able to get another fill for about 8 weeks and it took me months to build up to a sweet spot again. I regained 40 lbs. Keep working out, make better food choices but get back to your doctor asap. Without the proper restriction it’s too easy to fall into old habits. I had been lauded as one of my surgeon’s first patients w/ a large amount of weight to lose who was having success w/ the lap band ( that office is very pro- bypass) so it definitely hurt my pride to show a gain. It was helpful to just be honest. “Dr., I’ve increased my activity level ( jogging and aerobics) trying to combat the gain but I am still able to eat too much and have been making poor food choices.” With the right fill and upping my activity level even more and falling back into good bandster habits I was able to take off the 40 lbs in about 6 months. I was actually in a smaller size at the same weight this time down b/c I was working out so much more instead of primarily counting on restriction and a little walking to help me lose. Take action !!

    Numbing medication with fills

if it's done in radiology as part of an upper GI then I am numbed, but if it's done in my dr's office I'm not.
  11. Ugggh ! I have a LOT of restriction during my period it's horrid! I've heard plenty of women say that they experience the same. What I've noticed for the last 2 cycles is that I become more restricted when I ovulate. Are you kidding me ?!? This stinks Anyone else experience this ?

So scared to get rid of fat clothes!

The majority of my stuff that I've outgrown was either donated or tossed depending on it's condition. However, there are 3 pieces that I have had altered twice so far. They're exceptionally comfortable, high quality and the silhouette remains flattering on my frame. They were a reward to myself when I lost 75 lbs and even still with an additional 60 lb loss I can still wear them (my tailor is worth his weight in gold). But don't just keep unusable clothing sitting around !!!
  13. I really like Carnie Wilson and was excited to see her new show. I had hopes that she would show people that WLS isn't magic and it takes effort to keep the weight off. I am very frustrated however, that she continuously seems to make poor food choices. Who decides to start commercially baking when they have a food addiction? For some reason I care if she's healthy and yes I do realize how judgmental I sound.

Anyone watching Carnie Wilson: Unstapled ?

It's on the game show network

    Pierced nipples?

There's a part of me that wants to get my nipples pierced :w00t: I had my clit hood pierced 18 months ago and after that I still haven't worked up the nerve to get my nipples pierced. Soon ...maybe
  17. For me an overnight stay was required.
  18. Oh my gosh NO ! Drinking after a meal almost always causes my band to 'overflow' for that reason I've never had a problem following the no drinking for 30 minutes after eating rule !

    The Magic Wand

This is such a great post! I recently came out as a bandster to some extended family on New Year's Eve, and that is exactly how I tried to explain it to them. The quantity of food that I can consume at one time is restricted. However, I can almost always keep down Cookies and ice cream and an old favorite from the pre band days frappuccinos. I am RESPONSIBLE for the quality of food that I consume I am RESPONSIBLE for going to the gym 5 nights a week I am RESPONSIBLE for getting myself back into the right mindset after losing my fill and regaining 40 lbs (I’ve since lost them again) I am RESPONSIBLE for being able to differentiate between actual hunger and head hunger Most importantly I’ve learned that this is a marathon and not a sprint !! I was wise to wait so long to tell these extended family members who I see infrequently. They were not supportive but with more then 130 lbs lost it doesn’t really matter

    Pin-Up Photos

I'm not at goal yet, but I am at the point where I feel comfortable enough with with my body that I was thinking about having some tasteful pin-up photos taken Has anyone else done this ? How did you find a reputable photographer ?
  21. Once I had an experience of a delayed reaction to a fill, where it took me 3-4 weeks to feel the restriction. I have read about this happening to others, but of course if you are concerned you should certainly call your doctor.
  22. I choose healthier foods then I did before surgery and eat smaller quantities w/o counting calories which I LOVE however, when I am due for a fill I find old habits sneaking back in and that's when I have to watch calories until I can be adjusted

    Dropping clothing sizes??

I started out as a size 30 on top and a size 32 on bottom I think I had to drop at least 50 lbs to start moving down in sizes. 2 observations I have made about clothing sizes, 1) When I was heavier I was loath to move up to the next size until I ABSOLUTELY had to ( seams were ripping) and for the most part our clothing stretches with us. So, taking the fact that I at least was actually larger then the label on my clothing ( for example should have been in a 28 but was clinging onto a 26 for as long as possible) the actual loss in size was greater then reflected by the label. 2) The difference in between plus sizes is large. there is a huge disparity between a size 28 and a size 30 and not so much between a size 6 and 8 ( I will see those sizes again )
