Day 2 pre op. I am the biggest b***h alive?
DarbiMolly replied to Jersrose43's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Just remember that your body is detoxing. You are getting all the sugar out, caffeine etc. That can be like a drug addict coming down off drugs. I did caffeine and sugar at the same time about 8 years ago and I had the shakes and sweats plus the worst migraine for 3 days. I just wanted someone to cut my head off. lol You are on the right path. Your body is in shock and just has to get used to it. You are doing GREAT!!!!! -
4 week pre op diet ... why me?
DarbiMolly replied to DarbiMolly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The company I am with, the minimum pre op diet is 4 weeks! The higher the BMI, the longer the pre op diet. I fall in the low range. -

Prejudices v. Legitimate Concerns
DarbiMolly replied to Kooky1's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
There are some good surgeons in Mexico and the US. There are some really unsafe surgeons in Mexico and the US. There is prejudice because when you hear "Mexico" you think someone will be operated on in an unsafe environment - there have been lots of horror stories. I'm going to LIMAARP, Dr. Liza Pompa - she operates a centre of excellence endorsed by the U.S. I'm paying dearly for it but I'm ok with that. I also investigated and connected with past patients to get feedback - it has ALL been positive. I'm comfortable with my decision. Do your homework. The good ones aren't inexpensive ... for a reason! -

Do you hope to get smaller than your goal? Why or why not?
DarbiMolly replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My ideal size is 4. I was that when I lost weight. I felt and looked good. I'm short and small boned so it suits me. -
Haha mine too (about the boob shots)...I had to be careful of my incisions the first week or 2. Ya, they like to see the product of their work! lol

I have been on a 2 week high Protein, low car pre op diet. I start week #1 (of 2) liquids on Monday. 2 weeks and 5 days to go for surgery!

Based on my height and bone structure I want to be about 120-125. That is within the healthy range for me. I am 5'2.5". I've been as low as 128 and I felt AMAZING!

Hi, I'm from Ontario (Kingston) but I am going the private route. My bmi is not high enough for OHIP to cover it. My surgery is June 30. Took me about 3 months from the time I started talking to the company to my date of surgery.

All excellent answers. I divorced a selfish, emotionally immature, cheating, lying, unsupportive man and am now married to an angel .... there ARE good men out there who will treat women with the upmost respect!!!!!
-
Not very supportive or nice behaviour for anyone. Even if you didn't have surgery, why can't he change the bed and wash the linens? WHAT IS HIS PROBLEM?

My son had his wisdom teeth out and when he woke up he kept telling the nurse she was lying to him. He almost started arguing with her. She was laughing. -

That looks great! -
I work with a girl that is a size 2-4. She is always on a diet and watches what she eats. BUT she has body image issues just like us. She also has cellulite and hates her saddle bags. Is she beautiful? Yes she is, inside and out, just like all of us.
