I have been overweight since age 1 except for a brief time when I was in training for swimming (four hours daily). The minute I stopped training and went back to eating, well you know, the weight..... I am now sixty-five and did not want to go down with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and all that. I have been wanting this surgery for the past six years. Well anyway, I had mine last Tuesday, April 22, 2014 and am lucky I have not had pain or any of that. ( See my happy dance??? ) My biggest concern right now besides being hungry, I mean starving, is the lack of energy. I drink my shakes, drink the water, stay full all the time. I exercise. Been doing some light gardening in very short bursts. and watched more television than anyone has a right to. I took off two weeks but think after my one week visit tomorrow if everything goes well, I will see about starting back early. I am a night nurse and the work is not strenuous-a little bending to pull meds but other than that mostly sitting.
I have lost about 18 pounds from my start weight.
I just hope this works and goes off without a hitch.

Start: 253 pounds. Clothing size 22 / 2x-3x
Today 232.5 pounds. Still 22.
