Help I can't eat anything!!
Linda Hyden replied to str8outtajerzy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just started soft food one week ago and have been nauseous pretty much every day. Eating is no fun at all and the constant headache that goes along with it. For those of you who can't stand Protein drinks, I'm one too, try using not flavored protein at 30 grams per scoop. There are some really good smoothie recipes on bariatricfoodie.com. Some days it feels like I may have to drink my food for the rest of my life and only a couple ounces at a time. Hopefully this will change as my stomach that was toughens up a bit. Some days its bad enough I think I may have to start wearing a diaper. -
HI...Im out in Rockwall,Tx area

Truthfully, I don't recall much about my psych eval except filling out some papers that gained an insight into what I knew and whether I was ready for the procedure. I spoke a few moments with a counselor but could not understand most of what he said cause he spoke so softly. I kept asking him to speak up but he really never did. From what I could tell, it wasn't much and nothing I would be too worried over. Just know that you want to do this, that you have tried everything in the past with none to limited success, don't want to go out sick and fat, and you aren't hoping this will kill you. By the way, who is your doctor? I used Dallas Bariatric- Dr Jayseelan - at Forest Park Medical. Had my one week check yesterday and so far lost 21 lbs and all is well. -
Horizon Nj health , will I qualify?!
Linda Hyden replied to Jennalee058's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi. Your BMI would qualify you for surgery as 30 is the magic number. The rest depends on your insurance carrier. I have United Health Care and their stipulation is 3 months of pre-surgery visits and psychological counselling once. When you go to your doctor, they should give you all the information you need as far as pre-surgery dieting, visit schedules, any classes, any psychological profile, etc. I wish you all the luck in the world. Do what they tell you to do. Don't follow anyone else's instructions. Do exactly what the doctor instructs and you will do well. -
This is my first time here. Nice to see that at 65 I am not too old for having had this... Was anyone else this tired all the time? Yesterday I felt pretty good. Today I am exhausted and fuzzy headed. Medication withdrawl maybe?
