Ok I called and they don't take call aheads. I told him that we didn't want to sit in the middile like we did before and he said that wouldn't be a problem..They have an area near the windows that will work for us. So if we want to meet in the lobby like last month we can get a table... :banana :banana :banana :banana :banana I am so excited...

Rebecca hang in there...maybe it is something they will change for next year. If you are using Dr. Bauman I think he has be honored by BCBS so don't give us just yet talk to the Dr. sometimes they have ways around these things.

Jennifer I hope you feel better..that has to be rough. Although not talking my husband would say would be a vacation for him. haha. Maybe you can join us next month...we aren't going to let you go that easy. Ok ladies I think we have 10 for sure...I will call this afternoon and get a table for 12 just in case we have a few lurkers that want to show up but aren't ready to start talking here yet. Hi Rebecca, Welcome to LBT....I was out a week it took about 2 to feel back to my old self but once the gas pains were gone I felt alot better. I to have a toddler and he wasn't that hard to tend to...I think if you have a week you will be good. Pick a slow time for you and your husband if you have that. Not sure if you could come but there are about 10 us getting together, we all met here on the board, this saturday. It would wonderful if you could join us. I called the Dr today and they are going to call me this week sometime to set up the surgery. I am so ready to get it over with. I am just a bag of nerves right now. UGH!!!! I know it will all be ok and it will be over soon...well this one part of it anyway. Thanks for letting me come here and talk...it really helps and it's so nice knowing I have so much support and prayer coming our way.

Well I am 3 months post op and have lost 60 pounds. I don't think that is too bad. My band in my best friend and this is one friend I don't plan on lossing. I can still eat a peice of cake if I want to at a party and that one little peice is more then enough for me. My fills have been painless...did get a little to full so I had to have some taken out, which is fine by me because that just means when I loss more weight and my restriction gets a little less I get can istantly get some more filling. I have an aunt that had GB and she know tells me she wishes she would have had the band...that's after gaining 40 pounds back. She is trying to re-teach her pouch again but she said it's hard because it's already stretched. I would recommend this to EVERYONE!!!!

I too am having problems with eggs and cheese since my last fill. Don't know what it is..I can eat over easy eggs but scrambled eggs are not my favorite to do. Good Luck...I too am under alot of stres so it could have something to do with it.

You will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you make it back safe and sound and on your way to recovery.

Dianne thanks so much for thinking of us today...we are home. He is doing good. I updated my thread so you can read more there... he has diaper rash again but I coated his little hinny tonight and hopefully it will be ok in the morning. He was back to his normal self by the time we got home. Again thanks so much for thinking of us...it means so much to me.

Hello everyone...well we made it home tonight. YEAH!!! It was a rough start but finally he started flowing (out both ends at time) and we are good. The doctor has giving instructions to follow until his surgey which will be with in the next 3 weeks. Well that is what he said tonight. I just love our surgeon he is great with Curtis and really seems to care about us. He was so great...my sister and my baby neice went with us this morning, my sister is an RN and thank goodness she held him down while the nurses put the IV in and the NG tube in. I just wanted to cry. Curtis didn't cry until he saw himself in a mirror...so I put a towel over it and he couldn't see himself. He just layed around and watched PBS and some movies thank goodness for portable DVD players. So one obsticale (sp) overcome and one huge one left. I really can't express my graitude to everyone here and your continued support and prayers as they all being answered. I will update you again when I find out the surgery date...Let's hope it's painless and quick.

Hey everyone...we will be heading to the hospital on friday morning. Hopefully we will only be there one day for them to get his body cleaned out. Keep your prayers going this works out so that we can move ahead with getting his surgery done and over with. Thanks for letting me come here and talk about it. It's so helpfull to be able to talk to friends that way I can stay strong for Curtis. I don't cry in front of him but thankfully I have an understanding husband that will let me break down with him. It's just so tough but I know I can do it because I was giving and good man above knew I could handle this so I am going to do my job. I love this place....Thanks again for your continued support and prayers it really does mean the world to me.

I can't tell you to stay off the scale because I am just as bad. Well I was up to a week ago now I have or want nothing to with weight loss, the band, the scale or anything. Just in a rut... Anyway...hang in there...I do think you aren't getting enough calories in. When I was filled too tight..I was having like 300 - 400 a day and oh my goodness I was actually gaining most of the time. You will see when you eat mushies it will get better hang in there girl. Plus look at the exercise you are doing... me I am lucky to walk everyday. Oh and my throat has been hurting me the last 2 days...I think something is going around.

Hey Karen, Well as you know I have UHC...My BMI was over 40 but I had hardly any co-morbidities. At the time I was having blood pressure problems and some achy joints but that was about it. Good Luck!!!

I weighed in monday but totally forgot what it was...so I will go with a maintain this week or I will weigh in the morning and see how bad it really it is. I have so much going on...

Well here is a quick little up date...we are going in the hospital one day this week because he is still compacted. They will have to run a tube down his nose w/ a liquid to clean him out. If that doesn't work his Dr. will take him in the OR and clean him out that way. I am not sure what day we are going it looks like friday right now. Hopefully it's just one night there....Then once this is done he will set up the day for surgery. I have soo much going through my head right now and I am such a stress eater...so lossing weight right now probably isn't going to happen. Thanks again for your support and prayers. It sooo much needed.

I can not express my happeness to be apart of this wonderful family. Your prayers and support are SO much needed by me. Well with his test friday came a horrible friday night and saturday...he has the worest diaper rash I have ever seen. He screams when you tell him it's time to change his diaper. Luckly I had some Ilex (Awsome for diaper rash) left over from his last surgery and I think that is helping a lot. We did take him to a pumpkin patch yesterday and he loved it so much...he didn't have to sit down any so his hinny didn't bother him. Well again thanks so much....I know with all this support we will be able to get through anything.

THANKS Everyone...see I knew that I could count on ya'll. We went for his test today and to my surprise is STILL constipated...We have been giving laxatives (sp) and enama's for the past week. The surgeon said he was better the other day but still had some stool in there. I didn't know how much until today when I saw it on the screen. Ok so now we wait...for the surgeon to get the results and then surgery will be scheduled and he will tell me how is going to do the surgery. Now lets just pray it's through the hinny and not a open surgery. I have to say what a trooper I have...today at the test he laid on that table let them stick that tube up his little hinny and didn't cry at all. He just laid there and stared into my eyes and wouldn't let go of my hand. I could tell he was so scared but he was so strong for me. I just wanted to break down and cry. I think he is stonger them me. Again thanks everyone...I will update you more next week when I know more. I am really hoping to have this over soon. Or if I need to just to let a little frustrations out you might hear from me. Melissa...you might just get a phone call from me. You hit it right now...I am wanting to munch on everything. I am eater/ snacker when it comes to stress...not a good thing.
