I told my sister this weekend that I didn't like Ace for that reason. It's just weird. I still have to say Chris is my favorite.

Ok I can't make it the 22nd...I have been gone for the past two weekends and I have alot to do around here. Sorry but I will see you all in May. If anyone wants to meet for lunch let me know... So is it May 20th? It's the weekend before Memorial day...is so I am going to put it on my calendar now. Starting thinking of the weekend in June for our family pool party. My grandparents are excited about it. Please don't shy away we don't have to wear swin suits....but it want matter we will be in front of friends. The kids will have fun. I will say I know the first weekend in June isn't good I have a graduation and a surprise birthday party that weekend.

Happy Easter everyone!!! We just got home from the beach. I should be doing laundry but I had to check in with the girls. I missed ya'll. We had a great weekend wonderful weather....relaxing...what more could you ask for? All a WONDERFUL sun rise service on the BEACH!!! We went shopping yesterday..I bought a size 20 pant. 20 what I can't tell you the last time I was in that...so all you skinny girls got any clothes they are ready to depart w/...I am in need. I am going to try and get to that consignment store this week. Oh and a 2X top is getting really loose on me. I LOVE IT!!!!!!! Did I say how happy that made me. :clap2: Ok so how is everyone? Karen I am so sorry yours is actually the only UHC one I have sent in...others to other insurances have already come back. I have it on my list to call this week and see what the hold up is. Sorry!!! Melissa it's funny that you say your Vit D is low....Dr. V gave me a sheet to get my labs checked. Go figure...so I have been trying to pump up my daily vitiams so he don't put me on anything else. It's hard working for the doc. haha....Take them girl!!! Glad you got the lump checked out and really glad it wasn't anything major. That is always scary. Kathy, how are you? Are you here? Dianne where have you been hiding? Angie I haven't forgot to send you the picture I haven't taken it since we have been running so much. Will do it this week, I promise. I got your email today so I read over the paperwork again and no where did it say July 4th, We aren't even open July 3rd of 4th...so I don't where they got those dates from. Sorry that isn't our doing there. Hopefully it will come throught quickly....keep me posted.

This thread is great... For me the "clicking" moment was when I decided to have surgery. I wasn't going to put myself through this for it not to wrok. Sure I have my peice of cake now but that is it..one very small peice. I have an aunt that gained over 20 pounds back since her RNY why because she didn't learn to eat right. She is paying for it now. I have another RNY friend that got down to 198 and is now 240...why again not thinking she would gain it back. Elizabeth is right...everyone is different so no matter what surgery everyone is going to be different. I feel that I have learned...my choices are better and for me it took having WLS. I know drastic but it works. Ok just noticed that this is after band removal...So I would like to say that if for some reason I have to loose my band I would hope that I have learned. Now I go for a Water instead of soda...actually tried a sip of soda the other day and it was just nasty too sweet for me and it was diet. I would like to think I have learned something. I think my journal would keep me honest...well at least I hope it would. Good luck to all the unbanded and even those w/ other surgeries now. Its still a struggle for all us who are over weight.

I would love to take a picture of it...but all you would see is CLOTHES...right now I am cleaning out Curtis' dresser and closet and that boy has more clothes then I don't know what. At any rate yes I will take a picture of it - it's white very simple...you could probably find a trundle bed for under it if you wanted to. I paid 35.00 for it about 3 years ago from a neighbor that was moving. We haven't really used it...I may have a mattress that could go w/ it. How bad is this I can't remember if we bought a mattress for Curtis' new bed or not. It's a blonde moment. haha.. I will email you a picture soon....

You go Melissa very good eating girl. We can do this if we all stick together. I know we can. How weird is this. I had never heard of Torrid's before. We were @ a mall in TN this past weekend and walked in it. The first words out of my mouth were "Melissa would like this place." My aunt asked me who Melissa was. Needless to say I didn't find anything in there that I thought would look good on me. I do like that dress though...I can't wait to see pics of her in it. Now that brings me to another thing that says plus size store - when did a size 12 become plus size? I just don't remember that....Am I confused I said when I started this thing if I could get to a size 12 I would be happy. Well I may have to get to size 10...OH MY that is just crazy. Ok I am off to start work on Curtis' room. If anyone knows of anyone wanting or needing a day bed. We are going to selling one for 25.00 once I get it cleaned off that is.

Hey everyone...hope your weekend was great! We were in TN all weekend. Just got home and had to check my LBT and it seems ya'll were all so busy no one checked in. We went to spend the weekend w/ my aunt and her family. It was great. It is so nice to get away even if it's just for a long weekend. I am off tomorrow and was off Friday so I am only working 3 days this week...NICE but I will be VERY BUSY when I go in on Tuesday. Karen sumed up the month so far pretty good. How cool are you Angie getting hair removal...how about skin removal. Hey I read somewhere that you can donate skin for burn people...I have alot for them if someone would remove it for me. Don't think that will happen. Is anyone doing anything for Easter? We are leaving for the beach thursday night. I am very much looking forward to that...however the house is being neglated very bad this month. Alright I will quit being long winded but I have to share one more thing. The last time I saw my aunt was the weekend I started my liquid diet last year...she was so shocked when she saw me. She was so proud of me. That made me feel really good. So that put a litle something back in my heart and made get back on track. All weekend I did so good. Right now I have a grilled ck salad sitting here that I have hardly touched. That would be because I was thristy and just drank so I am trying to weight a few minutes. So ladies this is it...we need to get us all back on track and all us need to get out of this funk we are in. So how about starting tomorrow, lets hold ourselves accountable for what goes in our mouths...do we really need it? Alright...going to read some other things...then go and unpack. yuk!

Oh Funky Jen I am so sorry you are in a funk...that was March we aren't suppose to have those right now. Maybe you can go to a support group and talk to other RNY people...it might help. I know on OH there is a group that meets in Gastonia...not sure how close it is to you. I am so sorry the lossing weight so fast is effecting you. I wish I could give you more advice but I am here for you...like we all are. We will listen to you any time... Ok so I don't think I will be able to meet w/ ya'll on the 22nd. We are getting Curtis a new bedroom set and I think that is the weekend we are having it delivered....If not I should be able make it.... Ok something to throw out there for the Dr. V patients....we are going have an open day for band fills where you don't have to have an appt you just walk in and you will get filled. I thought it was a cool idea and he told me I could share w/ everyone. Not sure when it's going to start but thought it would be a good idea....you can come when it's convient for you. Ok so that is my little bit of info to add...he is really wanting to focus on the band.. Ok now there is an all girl gym opening in downtown, it's called Elements. They are giving discounts to bariatric patients. How cool is that. They are also wanting to hold at least one class a week for bariatric patients. So I thought I would share that also...not sure what the cost is yet but I know they do plan to open others up once this one is up and going. Personal note...we are going to TN this weekend to see my Aunt and her family. I haven't been out there since I started my liquid diet...May of last year. She hasn't seen me since then...so I am excited to see what she thinks. We are going to shopping...so I am excited about that. I really need some new summer clothes. Alright enough rambling....Hope everyone is doing well and will chat later.

Karen you have got to be kidding me. I sent you the tracking number...did you get it? If I have time tomorrow I will look it up online. We are suppose to be able to track it that way. Kathy congrats on the 9 years...Mike and I hit 7 this year. Ok so it's April I am scared today I have to go almost 20 days with out health insurance. SO we have to be healthy...Keep us in your prayers. It wouldn't be so bad if it was just Mike and I. Dianne I can do lunch...tomorrow starts our first full week of clinic in our office. So tomorrow if our first Monday. I am excited. I don't think we see patient until 3 so give me a call...you have the # to the office. We had a blast @ Curtis' birthday party yesterday. It turned out great. The kids are SO much fun to watch. They were all over the place. I got some good pictures. I will try to post some here soon...It takes me a few mintues to figure this out. Ok so it's April...it's going to be great. I just love the weather, I have had the windows open all weekend. It's so nice to get some fresh air in the house. Get the stale of winter out of the house. Don't know how I missed this one...Kathy girl I am sending Curtis to your house. HE likes to sit on the potty...BUT that is it. (You know I have special needs w/ him) but I wanted to start at least potting in the potty. NOPE he said no that is not where pee pee goes. WHAT... Oh one day it's going to happen....

:help: Please!!!! What would you like to see in the meetings? What kind of speakers? How would you like the meeting to be handled? What topics would you like to be talked about? Trying to get some ideas. We have a local doctor starting up a support group and I am helping w/ it. So I thought what better way to find out what other lap banders want to see and hear then to ask them. There are so many people out here on the board and I know all of ya'll can give me some good ideas. We want them to be good for everyone.....and we want them to be succesful. Thanks in advance for your help...Oh and yes it's a lap-band only support group not a WLS support group. So it's going to be designed for the lap banders. :eek:

Thanks so much....these are great ideas and I am writing them down as we speak. The actual meeting doesn't start until June but I want to have some ideas already planned for the upcoming months.....just in case we don't get any at the meeting..know what I mean. Hey Doby I know right where Maryville is..I have an aunt that lives there. We get out that way about once or twice a year. :eek: It is very nice there. No I wasn't saying to wait I was just stating that I knew it had to be frustrating and I am glad you found someplace. We were actually told it would take less then 6 months to the COE so they should actually have it mid-summer is what we have been told. Now let me state for the record..I will believe it when I see it. :eek: I do feel bad for the people in our area waiting on surgery it is so tough...we actually have several that were approved for surgery and then when the rules got changed we had to cancel the surgeries so I know it's frustrating... Again I am very happy that you are on your way. I am very excited for you.

I just started working in a surgerons office 2 weeks ago and found this out myself...not sure where you are from by Presby in Charlotte is/has applied for the Center of excellence. I know that there is a doctor that takes medicare and works out of presby....but we have SEVERAL people on hold because of the change in the policy. So Doby - good luck on your surgery. When is it?

Oh yuck...you are like me. Check them out and then I lysol them down also. Well it was just a LITTLE group of us...3 to be exact. Kathy, Melissa and myself. (and Melissa's 2 cute girls). But it was nice to just sit and talk of course I had to run off to get to Curtis for his birthday party but it was still a nice time. Kathy THANKS for sharing w/ me. No more Breakfast....NO MORE!!!! First CONGRATS on being banded. 14 WEEKS seems a bit crazy to me. I was on mushie food coming home from the hospital which was the next day. I was on that for 2 weeks and then I could start working solids in slowly. I didn't have any trouble. As for the amount to eat. Just take it slow...start w/ small spoons and sip. Just be careful...you will know when you are full. Again congrats...Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Ok there is so many new people on here..we need an intro thread on the board so everyone new and old can remember people. I am getting so confussed as to who is who...I know once I meet everyone I will remember them. It's just my old memory kicking in. haha I think NC is going to take the lead in banded people...GO NC!!!!! So I finished my 2 week of work and WOW...I love it...it is very BUSY. There are so many patients out there. Oh my goodness. Oh hey I will post it again later but I wanted to put a bug in your ear..Dr. V is going to start a support group for the band. Our first one will be in June at the Cornwell center behind Myers Park Church near Queens College. It's open to anyone and everyone. Bobbie one of our RNs is going to lead it and I will be there. We will be getting imput as to what you want how you want it structured...special speakers/guest you would want us to get to talk. I am so excited about it. I have the date at work but now 100% sure when it is. Again my bad memory....I really hope we have a good turn out it will be the only BAND only support group in our area. Well that is besides ours..which is the best of the best.:clap2: Ok well hope everyone has a great weekend...we have our get together tomorrow which I am so excited about and then I have Curtis birthday party, Sunday we have pictures of the kids and a family reunion to go to. So we are full again this weekend. GO FIGURE.. Ok Melissa girl don't let your MIL upset you at all...I think it's a MIL thing. Lets just hope we don't turn out to be one of them when are kids are married. hehe.... So what else is going on w/ everyone?
