Hair lost anybody out there?
Griffan replied to Sassy in pink's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
started at the same time 3 months but has really slowed down now at 5 and was not devastating, take your vitamins and extra biotin and make sure you get all your protein in. We are all different, some don't loose any! -

Does anyone regret it?
Griffan replied to XForeverYoursX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am a little over 4 months out and for 3 months I so regretted it and went through what was like a post partum depression but even my dr told me I will get past it and I did and now am so very happy with my decision and the changes in my body. I don't mind the smaller portions at all and cannot even imagine eating like I used to. We all adjust in our own ways but I will tell you that I can eat anything I want, if I am craving something, i can have a bite and that will usually do the trick or just remind myself why I made this decision. I would do it over again in a second. Good luck with your decision as only you can make it. -

I had to drink 70 oz of protein = 2 world Wide Choc shakes, jello (yuk-no way), 12 oz of V8, yogurt and broth. I bought Progresso Light and just ate the broth, so much better than just the plain broth. I loved the V*, that was the best part of the day.

Would you do it again if you knew....?
Griffan replied to marie44's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I am 4 months along and 2 months ago I would have replied that I would not have done this but now I am just fine and very happy I did it. I cannot imagine eating as much in one sitting as I used to. If I really really really want a cheeseburger, I will (can only eat 1/2 without the bun) or if I want pickles I will have some. I watch what I eat but also will treat myself in moderation. Your life will not be over, it will be starting over and you will love watching the pounds melt away. Imagine fitting into clothes you have not been able to for a long time. Only you can make the decision but for me, I am glad I did even though it took me a while. Good luck..... -
I went to the movies and we got some popcorn, I figured I could probably eat a handful.....OH NO, I can eat half a bag....bad news and not good for you at all. I learned it is just one of those foods that you can eat lots of which is falling back into old bad habits so i have to stay away from it. I did not go through this surg to backslide but it sure was good and such a treat. Don't do it.....

Trial and Error over need advice
Griffan replied to rbedinghaus's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have a hard time with the protein shakes, the smell turns my stomache, then I found Isopure. The grape and rasberry are both tolerable and if you order them online you will save money and shipping is free...good luck. -

I feel your pain, I am a little over 2 months out and the first month was a struggle for me also. I regretted what I did to my body also and had a hard time. However, what was done was done and I just had to move forward. I started trying on old clothes that I had not fit into for years and started feeling happy with my loss. I also hated going out with friends and only be able to take a few bites so I just ordered Soup and coffee...that felt good because I could have a normal meal. Everyones journey is different, I love my weight loss now, still once in a while wish I did not go this route but know I had to and am happy to be thinner and healthier. If I did not do this, I would still be at the same weight 60lbs ago and feeling miserable about it. So, try to look forward. Good luck and hope it gets better for you.

Exercise "March sleevers" who is up & moving?
Griffan replied to 521Diva's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm a DL pass holder and have only gone once since surgery. It took sooo much out of me. Not to mention there is like nothing wls friendly to eat there (I was in puréed when I went. Ended up eating a little unsweetened applesauce.) I probably won't go back for another few weeks, so that way I can be on regular foods by then. I went to the chicken place and ordered a kids meal. I could eat one drumstick and some mashed potato, it was so good. Next time I am going to add a Dole Whip.....there are also lots of fruit stands there...I can always find something and I brought Isopure in a Water bottle... -

I am so sorry, I am laughing at "stupid protein shake". I know how that felt, I did that too but figured out if I ordered soup and coffee I felt better and more normal. You will get there soon enough and be able to sit with them in your skinny clothes and enjoy your dinner...Hang in there

Gulping water when your really thirsty?
Griffan replied to itzmekc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
almost 2 months out and I can gulp with no problem...always could but can feel when I have over done it. -
I also was not 100% sure I wanted to do this even as I was on the table right before surg but I am glad I did. First you have to be sure you want to commit then think about the weight falling off.....believe me, it is a wonderful feeling 2 months out and 60lbs down, cloths hanging on me and no longer hungry and very motivated....I know I made the right decision. best of luck.

You are not alone, I went throught he same thing at that time but I thought it was just the stress of going back to work. Nope, I figured it is like post partum depression and it only lasted about 2 weeks. I just got out and walked when I could or got together with friends. Don't let it get you...but if you feel the need, talk to your doctor. . I feel for you, it was awful but it passed as I hope yours will also.
-
I also cheated a few times but for the most part stuck to it and did loose the 10lbs. Don't beat yourself up over it and move on. After surg, I had no problem sticking to the liquid diet...you can do it.

I am a few days shy of 2 months and no weightloss in weeks..
Griffan replied to riisey007's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am in the same position, just shy of 2 months but the scale is not moving for the last 2 weeks BUT my cloths sure are hanging differently. I want to see that scale move again. Maybe I will also try the liquid diet for a day or 2...Good luck
