  1. Hey all! Quick question for those who have been down this path... I find myself not needing to (maybe sub-consciously not wanting to?) weigh my food. Doctor's orders are to eat 4 oz. Protein 3x a day + 1/2 c of veggies - if I have room. I can visualize, for the most part, what 4 oz of protein is at this point. More so - I really notice when I start to get full. At that point, I stop! I'm pretty sure that I can eat 3-4 oz of protein, really can't get in the veggies at this point. Question: Do you guys still weigh your food? Am I on a dangerous road of stretching my stomach or overeating? Thanks for all of your help!

Not enough hours in a day

I'm in the same boat! My rules are no drinking 90 minutes after a meal. That's 4.5 hours in a day when I can't drink! Then I put off eating because I haven't drank enough...so I totally get your situation. The only thing that has helped me, even though I still struggle a ton, is setting a timer on my phone the minute I start to eat. That way I know exactly when I can start to drink again. Otherwise, 2-3 hours could go by without me thinking about my liquids. Can't wait to hear other suggestions!
  3. Thanks for the insight. I figured it's not smart...but since when I do measure it out and was under-eating (after being full), I figured I'd be okay! Thanks again, healthyme1963!

    Eating out card ?

I also received one post-op, but haven't ever used it. I often look to see if there's an opportunity - but frankly, children's meals are breaded chicken strips, mac & cheese, etc. Things I don't want to eat. My favorite place to look is on the appetizer menu!

Where are all my May Sleevers?

Sleeved May 12th and now down 47 pounds. I know I'm doing great and have been extremely lucky. I haven't thrown up at all, only get nauseous when taking my Vitamins. But, I struggle to eat. I just really don't care about food and tend to go-go-go all day, so I just don't think about it. I definitely eat at least twice a day and all Protein (less than 6 carbs a day). I'm not walking on a regular basis either, which I really would love to start. Reading everyone's great exercise habits and eating habits is motivating! Thanks for sharing!

    New Whey

I completely agree -- the nurse from my program actually just recommended it for those that can't get all of their Protein in. Ultimately we want to get our protein from food, but some protein apparently is better than NO protein! Recommendations to take it: drink it on ice, Water it down, some people have put it into Popsicle molds?
