Hi! just a little note to tell everyone good luck and don't feel you have to lose your wieght over night because you will not with the band, but that's the reason that you had the band or are getting the band, losing slower will help you keep it off in the long run!!!! I can tell you I would have loved to lost all of my wieght by now but it's taking time, but that's ok! I had my band Sept.4,2003 and am down 91 pound's:whoo: I was a 100 pounds down but I am going in for a fill tomarrow Yeaaa!!! man do I need one I can just about eat any thing! :hungry: bad bad bad!!! But if i could control it I would not have had the band put on. I have gained 9 pound's in the last 6 months and I am so mad at my self:angry but I will get it back off real soon. If I don't lose another pound I will still be greatful I had this done. wow what 100 pounds off could make in someones life, I can do almost any thing now, sit in a booth when we go out to dinner, go to the movies and sit in those small chair's I forgot how much I liked going to the movies, walk up and down steps ....ect.a lot of thing's. Thank you lap band for giving me back my life... I hope every one out there has as my happyniess in lap band as I have had in mine. Yes you are right! But if you could do it with out it you should not have had the band in the first place. It's called addiction and the lap band is not a magic wand to cure you over night!!! we have to learn but it take's time believe me I am down almost a hundred pounds thank god, but its been 4 year's, I would have not been able to done it with out it, I am 39 I have three children two granchildren I would not be able to play with them if I would not had this surgery. that's right without this surgery! but you can in time learn to control it it's not magic for sure but pretty darn close. so no matter how slow or how fast it the fact it's coming off and that's the good thing about this band the slower the better it is for you in all the way's you look at it!! hey!!! don't be scarred be scarred of going over 300 like I did. I was at 371 I dont remimber going from 300 to 371 but it changed my like I could not do any thing and I am for real. talk watch tv get on the computer and eat for real!!! my knee's started going out around 310 and I could not sleep in my bed. And now I can do any thing even if i wiegh still 280 pound's at least I can go places play with my kid's and my grandkid's yes you may think it scary but I am telling you it's not at all I was walking around the day of my surgery it's great!!!! not a fast wieght loss but by all means a good wieght loss!!! I have been banded for 4 years and would not have done anything eles but be banded my friend did the y surgery and has gained back alot and is wanting to get the band now on top of what she has already done.....
