    Is this crazy or what?

Thanks for the advise, but I am traveling therapist and my company is based in Florida, so I have never even seen these ppl. I transact all my business through the phone and mail. Thanks though!

    Is this crazy or what?

I am having issues trying to figure out if my inusurance will cover my surgery. When I call Cigna they tell me any weight loss surgery is excluded in my policy. When I contact my HR dept at work they say their are no exclusions on our policies! I am so frustrated getting 2 different answers. :mad:And of course everyone says their answer is right. I dont know what to do. Any suggestion?:help:
  5. Congrats on your aprproval! You're in your way!
  6. That was very encouraging. Currently I am in the insurance battle. But mine is a little different. Cigna tells me all gastric surgery is excluded from my policy, but my HR dept tells me that we have no exclusions! I dont know how this can be but i'm prayn that my company is right so i can get this ball rolling!

    Got banded on Oct 1st!!

Congratulations on getting banded! i'm so jealous! j/k i am still in the beginning stages, but wish you the best!
  12. Hey I wonder if anyone else has run into this problem. I contacted my insurance company to make sure they covered the lap band surgery. The lady took my information, height and weight and all other info they ask you for. I was told it was covered and I qualified based on my BMI was 47. Well i knew it would be more than just that but she told me what deductible i had to me and everything. Well I went to a seminar and gave my insurance info and received a call stating any baratric surgery was excluded from my policy. So I called myself and was told the same thing. I contacted my HR dept and was told it was not excluded. OK who is lying. I am so confused and depressed. I had my heart on getting my surgery in January, but cant afford to self pay at this time. Has anyone else had this problem? :help:

Cigna and 6 mths of dieting?

Just Wanted To Say I Hate Insurance Companies!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Yeah it was strange cuz when i first called she told me I qualified cuz of my BMI and she had to pull up my policy, so how could she get it wrong! I am going to call my HR dept. Due to my job I will never see them cuz their located in florida. Thanks for the encouragement!
  15. that is some garbage. I think that is a ploy so they can discourage up from going through with it. All the more reason to do it and tell them to kiss you a$$! My insurance company wont even pay for the surgery, so i'm struggling with that! Keep going I know it seems like a long time, but hey at least they will pay for it! Best wishes!
