In need of a buddy :)

Thanks, Healthy. Fairly smooth so far. Chicken is not my friend. Forgetting and picking up a drink while eating is AWFUL. But it think I am beginning to get the hang. 35.5 lbs so far. This trying to balance protein, liquid and full is not easy! But I am not giving up yet! Or ever, I hope! -

Heather, was thinking about going back on day 8 but my doc wants me to wait until day 14. Am on day 5. Your whole system has to feel in flux. My doc said stool softeners for sure. Helped me. Teacher, here, too. -

Be careful with the corn. It doesn't digest well . I got Panera tomato yesterday, blended and strained. The spice and flavor were terrific after weeks and weeks of bland. -
4 days- what's normal?

Sounds normal-ish so far. I am only one day ahead of you and today is my first day feeling good. Keep an eye on your symptoms and call the doc if they get worse not better. -
Boo flu! Lucky you ! The gas pain in my shoulder and neck have been the worst. Today is day five for me. I did take the pain pill before bed and consequently slept through the night. What a gift! No headache waking me up and a full 7 hours of sleep! My incision sites are less sore and I feel so good! My stomach is loud! Lol, but I suppose I will get used to that. Everyone says it continues. No matter how miserable you are today, in just a few you WILL feel better!

I lost 27 lbs as of the day of my surgery. After, I gained two! Today, I was down another for a total of 28. Please tell me it keeps on!

Happy to see others posting. @ 4 days out I find myself avoiding tv commercials. I don't want to crave things just because I see them. I am too new at this. I know that real life will be full of temptations and tough choices, but I am trying to stay away from where foods are "in my face" for a few more weeks.

Beef broth. Tomato soup with water not milk, or skim milk for more protein -

Would love a support friend! -
As another newbie (4 days out) I doubt I am the best support either but would be happy to jump on the wagonload of support as we all struggle. Even we newbies may have some good advice or fresh words of support. pM me if you want.

Day 4 post surgery. Headaches and cold spells the worst. No real hunger. My guys are older and are cooking on their own. Looking to find common support chatters.

Body temp problems!

Thank you. I don't like to bother the doc, and was wondering if this was normal. Sounds like maybe not. -
Not a fever type of problem. I find that when I get chilly I start shivering like crazy. I am 4 days after surgery. Is this normal? And the headaches! Awful!
