Hi, Everyone, I just found BariatricPal while surfing the internet and thought it would be a good match for me I am computer challenged so it may take awhile for me to find my way around the web site. . Now let me introduce myself . I am known as Nell aka Sweetnell on the internet . I am a retired nurse after 50 years. Mother of 3 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren so you can tell I am no spring chicken. I married the love of life a few years ago and want to have the best quality of life for the rest of my days. I had roux/bypass April 16,2014 this was a revision of early stomach staple (30 years ago). The procedure took about 7 hours which made my insides feel like they have had an army march on them in full combat boots. I am still at that time where I am not sure this was the right thing to do. Drinking full liquids makes me want to gag, but the more I complain the more I sound like Debbie Downer. I did not make this decision lightly to have this life altering surgery. I also know things will improve. So please bare with me until I get passed this point.
