gwyllgi- I am 10 post today and still have gas pains in left shoulder and middle of my back a little to the left. I also can't burp anymore. Before surgery I could, I don't know why I can't now. Does anyone know why that happens?

JanaBanana, you hang in there, I had the EXACT same thing happen to me at 3 days post-op, banded 4/3/08. I am only 10 days out and feel so much better already. It's hard to come to terms with the fact that you can't just sit down and have a slice of apple pie while watching the game anymore, or go out to dinner with your family and friends (yet). It's a huge life style change and it takes time.
