that sounds like a great idea,about reflux disease it is nothing to play with i have had it for years, desertmom have you ever had an EGD done i take prevacid 30 mg 2x aday. do you get pains in your stomach, your throat or chest. then you need to get to your doctor .

Hi my name is Ann and i wanted to let you all know how i am doing.i have been in bad shape and in so much pain with trouble swallowing liquids and food.:help: i had my lap band taken out been causing me nothing but trouble since 2005 my stomach has to heal up so the doctor can do the bypass on me.:hat::clap2:

hi angie38,..... it probably isn't moving because you hit a plateau, just last for a couple of weeks then the weight starts to drop again. you will be just fine. and congratulations on losing the 7 pounds. and if you continue to have trouble losing weight just increase the excerise that will help. hugs Ann38

hi tracy,.... i am glad your doing fine. my name is Ann i had the lap band done in 2004, but had nothing but trouble with it since 2005. my band slipped so bad that dr singh from albany med had to take out my bad and i am healing up so he can do the bypass on me.if your wondering what kinda trouble i had i couldn't get any liquids or food down. hugs Ann38

hi,... i went through that and i personally think you should call your surgeon at the hospital because it could be anything your band could be to tight or on the verge of slipping. mine was so bad i went to see a different surgeon at albany med and he wond up taking my band out, so my stomach can heal up and do the bypass on me. hugs Ann38

hi,,,,, i get the same thing after i eat, and at the dinner table. i think you should call your doctor and tell him or her what is going on. and ask the to check the band, they can do a baruim swallow test to make sure okay.it gets worse i have trouble swallowing food and liquids,i get chest pains, pains in my left side also. i had to change all my doctor over to albany med the ones i had refuse to help me and fix my band, i just found out it is in 2 peices band part in my stomach and the port is on my left side. you can reach me at fordforda9466@aol.com hugs Ann

hi , i am sorry your having trouble with your band.i am not sure on the difference between the standard band and the MGB band .the hospital that did lapband messed up my stomach. now i have to go see a new surgeon on tuesday and was told by my new G I doctor that the band might have to come out and they will have to do the bypass on me.i had my lapband done in november of 2004 and my problems with my band has been going on since october of 2005, i am having trouble swallowing food and liquids,i get pains in my stomach and chest, my bp has been off goes all the way done to 58/46 on days and the doctors told me i was nuts and will live to be 200 years old.thats why i need new doctors the other ones i had were nuts and got the license from a cracker jack box. hugs Ann

hi i had the egd done a few times nothing to it, they num your throat and stick a tub down your throat that has a little light on it that takes biopies just to make sure your okay. i am scheduled to have another one this week on june 28th. they stick and iv in your arm also. i hope this helps you . and you can reach me at fordforda9466@aol.com hugs Ann:clap2:

Hi My name is Ann,... i was banded novmeber 18th of 2004, i was losing weight great until about 2005, my band tightened up on me and hasn't been working right. i have had fills and unfills. just found out in april of this year when i had a emergency egd in april of this year to find out i have a hital hernia wrapped around the band and the port is starting to turn over. and is causing alot of pain. should i worry about this . i hope some one can help me.:help:

hi my name is ann and i had that problem also npthing to worry about 10cm is the size of your band, but they do the first fill in xrays to make sure your barium goes through your band. but if you get to the point that you can't swallow any liquids make sure you call your doctor that did your surgery ok can cause a problem with your band and stomach and slippage okay you don't want that. hugs ann fordforda9466@aol.com

Hi My Name Is Ann I Had My Lapband 11/18/04 And I Know What You Are Going Through Since November Of Last Year I Have Been Having Alot Of Trouble Getting Food And Liquid. I Also Have Bad Reflux .i Have Asthma,lymphedema, Barretts Esophagus,and They Told Me That It Is At A Low Risk Of Cancer. They Had To Empty My Band It Got To Tight. And I Just Found Out I Have Gastritis And Immature Intestinal Metaplasia,spuamous Mucosa With Features Chornicreflux Esophagitis. hi my name is ann and i had my band done 11/18/04 . start out with little protions and slowly build your food protions. i use smart one dinners,healthy choice dinners,or hormal made by dinty more all diet dinners. and do alot of excerising and anything that will help you loss weight okay. ann38:)
