hi ,,,, my name is Ann i have the same problem but mine has gotten worse is i had the lapband put in and i had to have it removed. yes call your doctor and have him send u for an ulta sound of your throat and neck to make sure there isn't a problem hugs Ann

hi everyone sorry i haven't been online in awhile . i have been sick with the flu, nemunia[not spelled right] and broncitis. but i saw my new surgeon and i am having the gastric bypass on december 10th.:whoo::clap2: so i hope everyone has been doing okay. and looking forward to talking to you all soon hugs Ann38

that sounds like a great idea,about reflux disease it is nothing to play with i have had it for years, desertmom have you ever had an EGD done i take prevacid 30 mg 2x aday. do you get pains in your stomach, your throat or chest. then you need to get to your doctor .

Hi my name is Ann and i wanted to let you all know how i am doing.i have been in bad shape and in so much pain with trouble swallowing liquids and food.:help: i had my lap band taken out been causing me nothing but trouble since 2005 my stomach has to heal up so the doctor can do the bypass on me.:hat::clap2:

hi angie38,..... it probably isn't moving because you hit a plateau, just last for a couple of weeks then the weight starts to drop again. you will be just fine. and congratulations on losing the 7 pounds. and if you continue to have trouble losing weight just increase the excerise that will help. hugs Ann38

hi tracy,.... i am glad your doing fine. my name is Ann i had the lap band done in 2004, but had nothing but trouble with it since 2005. my band slipped so bad that dr singh from albany med had to take out my bad and i am healing up so he can do the bypass on me.if your wondering what kinda trouble i had i couldn't get any liquids or food down. hugs Ann38

hi,... i went through that and i personally think you should call your surgeon at the hospital because it could be anything your band could be to tight or on the verge of slipping. mine was so bad i went to see a different surgeon at albany med and he wond up taking my band out, so my stomach can heal up and do the bypass on me. hugs Ann38

hi,,,,, i get the same thing after i eat, and at the dinner table. i think you should call your doctor and tell him or her what is going on. and ask the to check the band, they can do a baruim swallow test to make sure okay.it gets worse i have trouble swallowing food and liquids,i get chest pains, pains in my left side also. i had to change all my doctor over to albany med the ones i had refuse to help me and fix my band, i just found out it is in 2 peices band part in my stomach and the port is on my left side. you can reach me at fordforda9466@aol.com hugs Ann

hi , i am sorry your having trouble with your band.i am not sure on the difference between the standard band and the MGB band .the hospital that did lapband messed up my stomach. now i have to go see a new surgeon on tuesday and was told by my new G I doctor that the band might have to come out and they will have to do the bypass on me.i had my lapband done in november of 2004 and my problems with my band has been going on since october of 2005, i am having trouble swallowing food and liquids,i get pains in my stomach and chest, my bp has been off goes all the way done to 58/46 on days and the doctors told me i was nuts and will live to be 200 years old.thats why i need new doctors the other ones i had were nuts and got the license from a cracker jack box. hugs Ann

Hi Nicole,.... i agree with your doctor the gastric bypass will be better for you. my name is Ann and i am having trouble with my lap band i actually have to see a new surgeon in albany med on june 26th of this week coming in. my lap band has been giving me trouble since 2005 and the doctors i had keeped telling me i was crazy and now it is worse the band part in my stomach and the port on my left side. i wish you lots of luck. and you can reach me @ fordforda9466@aol.com hugs Ann:)
