hi ,....my name is ann, i personally didn't have a slippage with my band ,but i have a friend who did and dhe went through alot. what i could say is watch what you eat and don't over do anything that will help you and if you get any pain at all please i mean please call your doctor you don't need to give your self and really bad problems okay . thank you ann ford:)

hi,.....i had my surgery 18 months ago,and had to do a pre-op diet to lose weight before i could have my surgery. what i did was cut out startch like bread,and pasta, cut out the junk food watched what i ate you could try to eat your protien first then a veggie and a startch if you have room for it and most important do alot of excerising . ann

hi peggy,..... yes you can eat meat again. i had my band november 18th of 2004. people are different, in my case i have trouble with bread,pasta, rice, and beef. but like i said everyone is different. and i also have trouble with shrimp too. but doesn't mean you will have a problem some people don't have a problem. i am out 18 months and down 100 pounds so far. thank you annford my email address is fordforda9466@aol.com you can email me if you like okay

hi, i also took it 16 months ago, for a couple of days doesn't work at all did nothing but made me sick to my stomache and wond up in the hospital with bad cramps in my stomache i called the doctor who gave it to me and told me not to take it anymore not good. so recommed not to take it at all. hugs ann38

HI MY NAME IS ANN, I HAD MY BAND 15 MONTHS AGO AS OF SATURDAY. I AGREE YOU DON'T WANT TO DO DAMAGE TO YOUR SYSTEM ESPECIALLY AROUND YOUR PORT. I HAD 3 FILLS AND 1 UNFILL MY UNFILL WAS LAST MARCH I HAD MY TONSILS TAKEN OUT LAST FEBRARY AND HAD A FILL DONE A MONTH LATER BOY THAT WAS NOT FUN I WAS IN SO MUCH PAIN. BUT THEY DO PUT THE FILL BACK IN BUT HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MY STOMACH SETTLED DOWN. THE UNFILL IS NOTHING DOESN'T HURT AT ALL. hi dacr64,..... your right red meat is protien and is a main factor, but i'm one of those people who can't get any type of starch or beef down i just my ban just won't take it. i can get chicken,turkey and pork down just not beef. i hope this helps you.yes that is it i can't digest as quick as it goes down and because i also have bad throat problems too. hugs ann 38 :clap2:

hi,... no the acid problems and all my other problems are not from getting the lap-ban surgery i had them before then trying to get them under control but it is just hard hugs ann38:) :clap2:

hi my name is ann ford, i am post-op 15 months tomorrow i have lost 96 pounds so far. i can not eat bread any type of starch or beef. what i eat is the lean cusines or smart ones. was just dianosed with laryngopharyngeal reflux besides the acid reflux and being tested for addisons disease besides everything else i have wrong with me. everytime i turn around it is always something else. and if i had to do this lapband surgery over i would in a heart beat. hugs ann38:) :help:

i don't know i'm doing yet , i have a lot of trouble swallowing food and getting liquid down on days i don't know whether it is my band or not. i have the acid reflux disease can get on your neveres after awhile. on 3 different medications for it. but not helping to much. thank you ann38 banded 11/18/04:) :clap2:

i'm sorry i forgot to tell you i had the lapband done on 11/18/04 , my higheat weight was 385 i lost 45 pounds before my surgery and 52 since my surgery. like i said i'll be thinking of you on what you choose to do. thank you ann banded 11/18/04:)
