Happy Birthday, Alexandra! Hope you have a wonderful day

This may be too much information, but as I've read posts on here about bowel movements, sex and nicked nipples, I'm thinking ya'll can handle this lol. For the past week or so, I've noticed that every time I take off my bra (which is the first thing I do when I walk in the door heh), my breasts hurt. Not like a stabbing pain or anything, but a sagging pain, as if they've been put in a putty machine and pulled. Now, I've lost about 75 lbs, and my measurements around have gone down a good bit (ribcage, under bra), but my cup size is still a whooping big ole G cup. Is it possible that as my frame decreases, this will become a common occurrence (sore breasts I mean, as I know they're gonna sag til I get em cut off)? Has anyone else experienced something like this or am I just a freak? lol

Oh dear lol, that would be horrible :/ I love my lil one dearly .. so much infact that I decided she was all I need lol. I have been drinking coffee more regularly lately. I had stopped for a month or so, just cause I was too restricted in the morning to drink it, but as my restriction decreased, I started on the java again. Perhaps I should test giving it up for a week or so. Thanks

Mine did the same thing JAYGERL05 (my cycle that is). My doctor attributed it to significant rapid weight loss and the trauma of surgery. I ended up having to go on the pill to get a proper schedule again. While it is a pain, it was definitely worth it for me, as I like to be exactly on time, everytime lol.

I've missed all of y'all...but I'm back in business now!

*hugs* Becky. Hope the tests all come back okay. You'll be in my thoughts. -
Honestly, if it weren't for my clothes falling off, I wouldn't see a difference when I look in the mirror and I'm down 75 lbs. The biggest way for me to really see what I've accomplished, is to keep a list of non scale victories (NSV's). When I'm feeling a bit down, I go back and look at those and go Wow! - I've come along way. I also look at my before picture often, just to remind myself. Trish is right though, its different with each person. I'm one of those people who will probably always see myself as overweight, no matter what size I am .. but I'm working on my head in hopes that that won't happen.

LOL I love you guys!! My dear hubby had the snip a few years ago, so if I'm preggers, I'm in heaps of trouble hahaha. I'll take myself to the brashop today. I had bought two new ones a while back, but now they're too big .. I just hate sinking $100 (I've only found one shop nearby that carries a 34G and they mark it up heaps) into a new bra when I know I won't be able to get much use out of it :/ Thanks everyone

Congratulations!! Finding the right surgeon for you is something I spent alot of time on. I consulted with several before I met mine and went, yup, he's the one! It really does make the process, before AND after, so much smoother to have a medical team you feel you can trust. Do you know by chance which surgeons in Oz she'll be working with?

I'd say you've waited long enough for it to kick in. I saw my dr once a week until we found a decent restriction. Definitely helped keep me going in the right direction. Good luck

Yesterday was a really bad bad day for me. I'm a wee bit stressed at the moment, as my daughter left two days ago with my hubby, bound for the US. I'm really tragic when it comes to being alone. She'll be staying there with my parents for a month. Longest I've ever been away from her. So anyway, they had a 24 hour layover in Tokyo. Earthquake (7.2) hit Tokyo yesterday morning, so me, being the over protective worry wart, freaked out lol. Got myself all worked up for nothing. They were fine and Jaz thought it was "way cool". In the midst of all this though, I didnt realize that I was hungry all day yesterday. I had Breakfast (which I never do), lunch (and was able to finish it which I never do) and then snacked most of the afternoon. On the way home, I stopped at the grocery store to get some stuff to make a salad. Beside the checkout aisle I saw a bag of Doritos and thought, "One or two wont hurt", so I grabbed them. As I did it, I was telling myself to put them back, but I didnt listen. I fixed my salad with a diced up smoked chicken breast, a big bowl of it, and managed to clean the bowl. I was still hungry. I had some Doritos (while again telling myself they were extremely bad) and I was still hungry. Up until yesterday I've had a really good restriction. I'm not sure what's going on, as I've never heard of it disappearing overnight and my willpower is failing me at the same time.

Here (Australia) it can be found at any chemist - not sure about in the states, but I have heard that Walgreen's stocks it.

Oh Lisa, *hugs*!!! I wish I had some advice for you, but honestly, I suck at relationship stuff myself. Just know that you're in my thoughts and if you need to talk, we're all here.

World's most fattening Holiday foods....
Parvathi replied to piercedqt78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
LOL .. I make a sweet potato casserole and eat it like that as well, generally, until the whole pan is gone. Don't reckon I can accomplish that this year though hehe. -
Just an update - I had my doctor's appointment this morning. The whole week was pretty much the same - I felt like I had lost most of my restriction and could eat things that I couldn't eat previously (and alot of it lol). I ended up putting on 2 lbs this week So the doctor checked for a leak, but all seems fine in that respect. He added another 0.2ml fill. We'll see how that does. Scares me a lil cause the last time I added 0.1ml, I ended up too tight lol .. fickle band! I have a script for a reflux medication so I'll get that filled just in case. I can always get 0.1ml taken out if it turns out to be too much. Anyway, I asked him if restriction could be affected by stress and he said absolutely. He said it wasn't the band itself, but the esophagus can kind of tighten or loosen due to stress. Have I said lately that I love my doctor? lol.. he's so patient with me and always takes the time to explain things, even drawing lil pictures (I'm a visual person so that helps). I often read horror stories of how some people have been treated by their doc's and it always makes me thankful.

mmmm turkey! My momma bakes hers. Doesn't use any butter, but its always perfectly moist and delicious (my momma's never cooked a bad dish in her life lol). My dad on the other hand, deepfries his turkey (Yes, I'm from South Carolina LOL). I gotta admit though, it tastes wonderful, and probably just because its laden with fat. *shrugs* .. its one day a year - in my opinion, one day doesn't blow a lifestyle of healthy choices, just makes ya feel guilty and bloated for a day or two I miss Thanksgiving, living in Oz. Edited to say: Pardon my manners!! Thanks Mandy for the link It was a really interested read And of course, some of my family favorites top the list lol... -

What more to prepare for coming home afterwards
Parvathi replied to duyesaka's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good luck on your upcoming surgery One thing I did in the days before being banded, was to cook a few meals to stick in the freezer, so that my husbnd didn't have to worry with that stuff. I knew I wouldn't feel like cooking and after a long day of work, I knew he wouldn't feel like it either. So I just fixed some easy stuff, like spaghetti sauce, a meatloaf, etc. I also stocked up on soup and juices, as my doctor's orders weren't Clear Liquids, just anything that could be taken from a straw. Oh, and make sure you have comfy clothes lol. I couldn't wear a bra for about a week, as it rubbed my port incision. I lived in pajama bottoms and strappy tops with a shelf bra. -
For me, it would be an equal mixture of health and vanity reasons. I wanted to be healthier, to keep up with my daughter, to rid myself of sleep apnea, to live a long life with my wonderful family. But I also wanted to walk into a room with my hubby, see heads turn and have him think, "Wow, I'm a lucky man" lol. I wanted Jaz's classmates to stop teasing her about her "fat mum" (that really pissed her off lol). I wanted to shop in regular stores and not have the sales woman turn around when I walk in to inform me, "I'm sorry, we only carry up to size 16". I wanted to go to the beach and not be embarassed. I wanted to increase my self confidence. Most of these things, I've accomplished now Still a ways to go before I reach goal, but I've never been happier with myself.

I went back after a week, but I just sit at a desk all day and type. In the papers I was given though, it stated no heavy lifting for a month ... was Mr. Nottle aware of what your job entailed?

LOL that's terrific! I hate when I get the small towel (I should throw it out lol). Congrats

Hi Quilter Mom. There's a section of the site, divided by state. The part for Maine can be found here:- http://www.lapbandtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40 Hope this helps

Congrats on being banded You've just made a huge change in your life, for the better! For myself, walking around a bit helped ease the shoulder pain.

Jeans,Jeans,Jeans 20-18-16-14-----7 it's possible
Parvathi replied to ladysplenda's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've gone from a tight 22 to a 14-16 depending on the cut, in 8 months. It's definitely doable. Yard sale shopping is a smart idea while you're shedding pounds, cause you'll go from one size to the next, sometimes in a matter of weeks -
I've been losing an average of 1.5 - 2.0 lbs/week. Some weeks more, some weeks less, some weeks NONE (think this is gonna be one of those weeks) lol, but you get used to it. Everyone will lose at a different rate. You're doing just fine

...as a treatment for cellulite? And if so, did it work? Would you do it again? Were you happy with the results? My gym offers this and I've thought about giving it a go. Just wanted to hear other opinions on it first...
