Why Did You Choose Your Specific Type of Weight Loss Surgery?
allielee replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm disappointed that there is only one response here. I have a band (slipped), and would love to know whether the sleeve or bypass would be better or has worked better and why. Once you leave the land of the Banded, you really only have a few choices. And they're not reversible, anymore input would be awesome ???? I was a successful bander until it eroded .. Last year I revised to bypass . Sleeve wasn't even an option for me. Reason being I wasn't going to have "another wls surgery again" I wanted this to be the last one and my doctor said the sleeve is sometimes the first step to bypass.. I wanted the gold standard.. It's so much easier than the band was and I am wayyy healthier now than I was then. I can eat chicken and veggies no problem!!!!! -

Beginning the Process of getting a revision and scared of being a failure again!
allielee replied to stleochic's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
What was your start weight and what are you at now? How long did it take you? Did you have to exercise a lot. Sorry for all the questions. I am 1 month pre op and asking away I had to gain weight for my revision.. So I was 245 day of revision. I got down to 156. I now fluctuate because I love White Russians lol I never exercised. Took 9-10 months. -

. Total cost for face lift and FF laser was $14,500.. I think just the laser was $4,000 but I'm not sure.. 0 level of pain. I honestly never had pain at all. I took Vicodin first 3 days religiously but never felt any pain. I'm a huge baby so that's big lol I feel great!!!!!!! 9 days out -

My rny and facelift were both a breeze. I had my tummy tuck and boobs done at the same time and it was ROUGH! But well worth it now. -
