I'm so depressed, I think this was the worst mistake ever.
allielee replied to blackcherry2002's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
ok first off you are doing great. You are psyching yourself out. Just going down in the sizes was an enormous accomplishment. It sounds like you are mentally trying to ruin your bands progress. I understand that because i sometimes let myself do that as well. It really isn't about where you are at on your fills its about do you have restriction? You might need another fill if you don't have restriction. But it seems to me #1 you are losing inches and #2 you have lost weight. I would suggest getting into a support group and just taking it one day at a time. good luck... -
HELP! When can I sleep 'normal' again?
allielee replied to Marcie1997's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It will be before you know it.. it took me about a week and then voila I was my old self again but much better! Good luck! -
Hey there.. first off congrats on getting banded. The gas pain goes away I lived on gas x strips for the first week. It is amazing how much gas can hurt! You have taken the first step to a new you! I have kept a little journal of this process and it is so energizing to look back and see how much I have changed just not physically. God Bless.

Congrats on being newly banded!!! I am a little over 3 months out and ecstatic!

Apples, you must be so proud sounds like they are fine young men! I have always just hated change and look at me changing every day..lol.. I actually got whistled at today!!! I was like looking around for the hot chick and realized holy crap I am the hot chick! Long2bthin- CONGRATS I bet you did a little happy dance didn't you. 70 pounds is so friggin much weight to lose you should be ecstatic! I for one am proud of you. Before you know it you will be at the 100 pounds lost. I can hardly wait to be in the 100 pound lost group! Have a great friday!

Thanks Apples, I have had 3 fills just not where I need them to be .. I hear you on missing the kids.. my daughters are 16 and 17 and in two years they both will be off to college. It makes my heart hurt just thinking about it. Our house is the "hang out" and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love having all their friends over. I will miss them terribly. I did get a puppy because I know I will be miserable and in need of something to baby :w00t: My hubby won't crawl up on my lap and let me hold him  so the puppy will have to do.

Hey everyone! It is great to seeing everyone doing so well. I am still not at my sweet spot but I am working hard trying to push along the weight loss until I get to my sweet spot. I get another fill on Oct 6 and can't wait. I am hoping to hit it this time! I joined curves and I am doing alot of walking. Winter is almost here and before long I won't be able to walk outside or I'll freeze..lol.. I am ready to move to the south! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We are having my youngest daughter's sweet sixteen birthday bash tomorrow and expecting about 40 teenagers.. pray for me.. lol

I am so excited for you! I too had that same experience. There is nothing better than realizing you will never ever have to shop at a plus size shop anymore!!! Congrats!

Question about work????
allielee replied to Brandie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded 6/20 and took the whole week off. I am a buyer. The gas pain is what kept me down. But honestly I could have gone back after a couple of days. -
Overwhelmed by pre/post op diets
allielee replied to a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was so nervous.. but don't sweat it!! I still have cases of isopure that I will never ever drink because I personally think they taste like fruit flavored feet. You just need to worry about keeping hydrated. I was not hungry at all after surgery and it was so easy to follow the diet. If you have any questions during the phases you can call your nutritionist. Mine was really helpful. Just remember you are going to do great! Good luck! -
B: coffee 1 cup not hungry L: 1/4 c. taco meat little bit of lettuce, cheddar cheese and salsa with a tsp of lowfat sour cream D: small piece of pot roast with carrots cooked in crockpot 1/2 at curves..

Self-Pay -- how many fills included in your price?
allielee replied to taosgal's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
self pay in CT $18,500 free fills for life .. -
Hi Mum of two boys.. I went through something similiar to this. I caught my hubby and my very best friend kissing.. I was five months pregnant at the time and we have two beautiful daughters as well. They hadn't had sex yet but were both expecting to. I was so devastated.. I cried for like 3 weeks straight. I ended up losing the baby from all the stress. The two people I trusted more than anyone betrayed me. I was one of those women who always said if he ever cheated out the door but in reality that is not as easy. I also gave him back my rings. We ended up staying together working really hard at our marriage and building the trust again. It has been six years and I am going to tell you something shocking.. our marriage is better because of it! I know that sounds crazy but this strengthed our marriage.. I am more in love with him now than before.. but he worked so hard to make it better. I needed to know everything, the whys and such we did go to counseling where we could say things safely. I am not suggesting this is what you should do.. I am merely letting you know of my choice. I trust him completely I have to if I didn't I couldn't stay married to him. I realize he is human and I am not perfect. Good luck to you and may God Bless you in your path.
