    Daily News!

Hey everyone!! Long~ I hope you have a wonderful cruise I wish I was going!!!! I have been super busy lately.. I am addicted to the farm town in which Cathy and I are neighbors on facebook lol. I had a wonderful Mother's Day I got a pandora charm bracelet with 4 charms and drum roll please a new puppy! I will try and attach pic. I am also busy with softball and the gym. I am feeling so great! Weight is still dropping off. I need to update my ticker since today I went for a fill appt but didnt' get a fill and I am at 130 pounds lost! My doc said that I need to stop losing. I actually laughed out loud! He asked me if I was interested in doing a commercial for them. I said OF COURSE! I am pretty excited. Life is great! My hubby also got offered the other position at his work and it's for more money!! Woo Hoo. So right now as of this minute my life is AWESOME lol. I hope you are all doing as well! I can't believe that in 9 days it will be 11 months since being banded! We are soo close to a year! Have a great day Junies!

    10 glorious months!

Hey there ait.. looks like you are doing pretty good to me! As for tips I believe strongly in following the band rules.. eat slowly, never eat more than a cup at a time, don't drink 1 hour before or 1 hour after a meal, don't eat pasta, rice. Try and stay away from white carbs, move your body as much as possible.. etc.. I hope that helps.. Good luck on your journey!!!

    10 glorious months!

Is it possible that it has only been 10 months? Today is my 10 month anniversary and what a great present I received.. 124 pounds lost!! I am so glad I did this. If I had known 10 months ago that I would have lost this much so quickly I would have not believed it. I am so proud of myself and I am really excited what the next year will bring. God has blessed me sooo greatly!!!
  6. Hey Cali,

I definetly have a goal in mind but I am flexible with it. I believe once your body is where it should be whatever that weight may be you will know.. I am super close to my original goal but probably will pass that.. I am not focused on a number just on where I feel comfortable. I hope that answers your question. If not let me know.. Good luck!!!!!

    10 months

So here I am having lost 128 pounds, joined a softball team.. feeling terrific.. and it hasn't even been a year! I keep thinking how amazing it is. I am still losing at a pretty good clip. I am not thinking about food at all. I eat when I am hungry and have so much energy it is amazing. Last year at this time I would have been thinking about what was I going to have for lunch what was I going to make for dinner etc. Now I don't even have thoughts like that. It is amazing. I also have to say .. my sex life with hubby has always been awesome but holy crap it's out of this world now! We are like newlyweds! Can you tell I am loving life? If not I AM LOVING LIFE! Praise God for my lapband!

    Daily News!

Good Morning.. Hunzi~ you are doing great!!! Keep up the good work. I hope you get that car! Long.. thanks for the support girl! You rock! Junies where are you??? This thread has been pretty quiet lately.. I got on the scale today.. and drum roll... I had lost 3 and a half pounds! I am sooo psyched! I am finally at a point where I really don't think about food at all anymore. I eat when I am hungry and only eat a little bit. I have been really active lately due to the weather being so nice. I am so close to my original goal. I originally wanted to be 170 pounds but now I am thinking of going for more like 155. My hubby thinks I'm nuts. I am just going to go with the flow and see what happens. I think once my body hits the magic number I will stop losing. Have a great day Junies.

    Daily News!

good morning junies.. Lynn, I would have to agree with everyone above.. I definetly think 2 cups is to much and I actually would be more concerned with stretching your pouch with that much food. I would talk to your doc. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. I started Softball last night.. that's right Junies, I joined a softball team and I had sooo much fun! I am super sore today but for a fat girl who hadn't played since I was 12 I did awesome if I do say so myself! The coach said he couldn't believe I hadn't played. I actually hit a double! I almost died when he said we had to run a mile but I did it! I am super proud of myself. My first real game is May 11 and I can hardly wait. I have to be honest and say that right before I had to go to the first practice I almost backed out. I didn't know anyone and was really nervous that I would be terrible. All my insecurities were swarming in my head but I went and I wasn't terrible! I don't know if I am prouder of myself for actually going or doing pretty good.. lol. So now I am an official softball player! I am playing sports holy crap! LOL .. have a great day Junies!

    results not typical

I agree lacey.. The bulk of my weight I shed in the first 6 months and the last 4 months has been a lot slower. I have to work harder to lose but I expected that. I am really close to goal.. I actually am 13 pounds from original goal but picked a new goal..lol I never thought I would get to where I am now! I went shopping last night and I can't even begin to tell you how wonderful it is to shop in the regular stores.. to have things just fit! I started out as a size 22-24 pants and 3x shirts.. I now wear a size 10 or 12 jean (depending on the brand) and a size L or XL shirt.. (my boobs are shrinking but still large at a 38 DD) If it werent for them I would be definetly a medium..lol. I understand the frustration of seeing threads where people are complaining they aren't losing and when you find out what they are eating it's just like what the heck, that's why you aren't losing but remember, we were all fat, we all had different reasons for being fat.. the band doesn't remove those reasons, it just helps you to get past them. Some people still want to eat the same way as before and that is there choice. They will lose the difference is fast and furious or slow and steady. Excercize is also another key.. But everyone knows that if you eat healthy, and excercize you will lose and lose fast. Just my two cents..
  15. Hey there you bandster Chris!!!! I am so glad you are doing so well! congrats! xoxo

don't feel bad about venting ever!! that's what we are all here for, to support each other! I can see how it would happen when you just keep losing.. this band is friggin awesome! I would never move my kids.. once they started kindergarten we stayed put. I went to 14 different schools and hated having to constantly make new friends. My girls have had the same friends since they were babies.. once they are in college though now that's another story lol..

    hopeful hanner

Hello and welcome to the banding club! This will be the hardest two weeks but remember this will lead to a new life for you.. a life of no dieting a life of being healthier and happier. You can do this and stick to the pre op diet the reason they do that is to shrink your liver. If you don't stick to the diet they could cancel your surgery or like my friend go to do the surgery and when they got in there her liver was to large and they closed her up without a band. Shrinking your liver is to your benefit, they need to be able to manipulate in there and if your liver is large they can't risk nicking it and causing a bleed. You can do this!

    Daily News!

Good Morning Junies.. I woke up this morning so excited for this day.. I just really have faith that everything is going to be ok. I realize that life happens and you can either roll with it and enjoy the ride or get off and be miserable. I refuse to get off! I am going to be a joyful person no matter what. So I got to work and 3 customers all were complimenting me on how great I looked and I have to tell you that just really pushed me past joyful into exuberant lol. My hubby has been applying for government jobs all over and I know he will get something! Jennifer, I wouldn't move until our youngest daughter graduates next year. I decided to wait and look until he finds something, that way if we have to move I can start looking there. Yesterday was my 10 month bandiversary and it was such a great day. I weighed in and the scale moved it was so awesome! I have lost 124 pounds in 10 months. I am so tickled! Have a great glorious day Junies.. and live life the good and the bad.. be joyful!!!

    Melting body and getting naked

hey there.. nothing is sexier than confidence! But I do realize how difficult it can be. My suggestion is keep the lights off :crying: .. I still don't want my hubby to see me naked although he is constantly trying..lol. I feel like after my plastic surgery then I will be naked all the time. Good luck and get some girl!!!

    take your own mushies!

try bringing a bean dip that you can eat.. it's going to be tough .. my suggestion is bring something for everyone to eat and make yourself a little side for you.. example bring a tuna macoroni salad and bring a little container of just tuna salad no macaroni for you and say you are staying away from carbs.. :/ I hope that helps .. lol
