That's awesome! You definetly should focus on your accomplishments and realize how great you look!!! I have things I am not happy with as well, I just have learned that even super models have parts they are not happy with. Just think a year ago you would have never believed you would look as great as you do now! I know I look at my pre band pics and say I prayed and prayed to look like I do now! It amazes me. We are the success stories, we accomplished what we never thought possible, we are amazing, we are hotties!! Even your calves are hot! :biggrin: :redface:

Don't worry nobody said anything, they are probably jealous lol. Some people said they thought I was sick since I was losing so fast and didn't want to say anything rofl! I am glad you had a good time on your vacation. My hubby and I fly out on friday for Orlando. We are going to disney, universal and to see Nascar on Fourth of July. I am not to excited about nascar but hubby is tickled to death lol. I bought all new clothes and I can hardly wait to wear them! I got alot of dresses, I haven't worn dresses in YEARS! I love getting dressed up now! I love seeing your updates and I really am so excited for you. I want to see pics!!!

Oh jeez long I hope you are feeling better now! That sounds scary! You are too funny with your legs. I love wearing dresses now since I never did before. Good Morning Junies.. Well, I am extremely sore! We went kayaking yesterday and wow I am feeling it today! It was alot of fun, 5 miles and 4 hours later (stopped for a picnic lunch). We went and saw Kathy Griffin Friday night and she was hilarious. It was a really great weekend. I have put off packing for our trip and now I am starting to panic lol. We fly out on Friday and I haven't packed one thing. Usually I am packed a month ahead of time. :thumbdown: I have to dig through my girls closets since they keep borrowing all my new clothes. That is the good and bad thing of being the same size as them. I will be snagging a couple of their casual dresses for my trip. I am excited to see my baby sister in Fl we found out a couple of weeks ago she is having twins! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.. this thread has been quiet lately. Long how was your hike???

I just wanted to say that in my experience I lost just as fast as a bypass patient. I followed the band rules and the weight just melted off. I think that the band is only as good as the person uses it. The band is a tool and in order to lose weight you have to work with it. Just my opinion..

It has been one year on June 20, 2009! I can't believe how fast this year went! I have lost 139 pounds and still losing! I went and met with a plastic surgeon (Dr. Goldstein) on June 19 and I am booked to have a tummy tuck, liposuction and a breast lift with implants on December 18,2009! I am soo excited. I decided to wait until then #1 because of vacation time and it being slow at work then. #2 My family will be home to help take care of me . It also gives me 6 months to lose as much more as possible. I am hoping to lose 20 more which I don't think is possible but I am going to try really hard. I am super happy with the way I look now with clothes on but naked eek.. I want to just wear heels nothing else and look great! I am going to have to wait to get my thighs done but that's ok. I did post pics on my main page with me just in panties and bandaids.. no head lol. Only my friends can see it so if you want to check them out you have to be a friend of mine on here. I just wanted a point of reference for 1 year out from lap band that way when I go in december I will take another pic before surgery and then after. I think it will be a nice time line. Good Morning! Today is my Bandiversary so I wanted to pop in here to celebrate with my favorite lapbanders! Thanks for all your support and friendly competition.. I could not have done it without you guys! Long, I keep dropping my goal down by 5 pounds. I have a feeling I am going for around 150! My original goal was 199 too! I am really excited to have lost as much as I have! I was surprised I could book so far in advance as well but they block times off at the hospital a year in advance. I was to embaressed to ask about the mons lift, I think I am going to send him an email..lol. Well, I am off to get ready for the party. Happy Bandiversary Lucky! :tongue:

Hello Junies! First all congrats Long!! Woo Hoo I am so excited for you! Iteach your pic is amazing you look great! Apples happy bandiversary!! Lucy let's see a new pic girl! Strike congrats on the saggy bathing suits lol!~ VZ have fun at the lake!! All you other beautiful Junies how are you? My daughter's graduation went great! We are having the party tomorrow. Apples, I decided to have it catered that way I could enjoy myself and not worry about cooking. I hired a cleaning lady who will be cleaning before the party and after the party :tongue:, I also hired a bartender! I want to enjoy myself!! We are all really excited about it. We are expecting quite alot of people! Unfortunately it is supposed to pour! EEEKKK Oh well we will have a good time either way. Ok so I went and met with the surgeon and I am officially booked for December 18th!!! I am soo excited. I am getting an advanced tummy tuck (removal of the entire kanga pouch) advanced liposuction and breast lift with implants. I have to wait to have a thigh lift. He said something about thighs being a two and tummy and breasts a one.. I am not sure what he was talking about but bottom line it isn't safe to do thighs with all the other. My surgery should take 7 hours. I do have to stay overnight one night. My doctor was really impressed with how much weight I had lost. He said I didn't have any upper tummy fat and that the tummy tuck should come out beautifully! I was really impressed by him and I am really excited. I am not excited about the cost but hey you only live once! I am going to be working out like a mad woman to be in the best possible shape before surgery. I am really going to focus on my thighs too lol. I did my weigh in today and yep I had lost It is definetly more mental now. It seems all the attention I get from people really makes me choose better things to eat. It's so weird. lol.. Well, I am off to go and trim my roses and give the dogs a bath! Have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone! Thanks for all the encouragement! I went and met with the surgeon today and I am booked for December 18!! I chose that date due to vacation time. My doc said that I would need 3 weeks off from work so with the holiday's I won't miss to much and it's a slow time then. I am getting abdominalplasty (sp? aka tummy tuck) liposuction, breast lift with implants I have to get a thigh lift at a later time. I am super excited and I am going to take these 6 months to lose as much more as I possibly can. He said I didn't have alot of fat left on my tummy, gosh that was great to hear lol Woo Hoo I am on my way!:tongue:

Good Morning! Well, tomorrow my daughter graduates from high school.. I can't believe it! I am super proud of her. Friday I go meet with the plastic surgeon and hubby said I can get everything I want done :wink2: I am hoping to schedule surgery in middle of December that way with holidays and such it won't be so terrible for the guys at work without me. Also so my family will be around to help. I am thinking I might be able to lose some more before December which would be great. I started taking a prilosec every night before bed and what a difference! I wasn't having reflux at night but I started having some chest pains during the day and now they are gone. I am struggling with eating lately too. I personally think it is a mental thing. Well, have a great day and I will let you know what the doc says on Friday.. that is also weigh in day

I have 5.7 cc in a 10 cc band.. perfect restriction.. everyone is different though

As long as it's not carbonated I don't see a problem. I have a drink or two every weekend usually wine or a mixed drink. I didn't have a drink until i was 6 months out from my banding. I hope that helps.

Hey there.. stress definetly can cause acid reflux.. I am almost 1 year since being banded and have been pretty stressed out lately.. I ended up having some chest pains and went to the e.r. and found out yep it was reflux. I started taking prilosec every night and wow it has really helped.. I have also started doing yoga and spending at least one hour a day reading a book to relax my mind and body.. I also recommend bubble baths!~! I wish you lots of luck and hope I was able to give you some ideas. Allie~
