Good Morning! I actually slept through the night for the first time since surgery. Due to the UTI I was getting up every 20 min to a half hour (my poor hubby). He said to me yesterday as we were watching Kung Fu Panda that there are no accidents, maybe I needed to get up alot to speed up my recovery. Ok so back to the Kung Fu Panda, I do not normally watch cartoons ok I admit I never watch cartoons but the Oxycodone causes me to have terrible nightmares if I watch anything but childrens shows. Ridiculous right? It's ok some of these cartoons are pretty cute. Some on the other hand are pretty not acceptable for children! Ok enough of my rant. I am feeling pretty sore today. I figure that is pretty normal. I am telling you the lipo of the thighs is the worse pain of all. Holy Moly. I was feeling so great all day yesterday, still haven't gone to the "bathroom" which is a worry since I am alone today and don't know if I can get this compression garment off by myself. There is a whole at the bottom but not enough to safely go anything more than pee. (sorry if to much info). So yesterday when my hubby got home I said I feel great I would love to take a shower so in I went. Well, it was to much. I got my hair washed and almost passed out. Thank God he was in there with me. I agree a chair in the shower is a good idea. I felt so terrible for like 1 hour after. Tomorrow is my first post op appt. I hate that it's an hour and a half away. I called my doc and I asked if i would be getting my drains out and he said no. I would get the pain pump out though. Well I hope everyone has a great day!!

hi hunnybee.. this is after cosmetic surgery. I would honestly have been happy with extra skin than extra fat. With the extra skin you couldn't see it with clothes on.. I decided to get the cosmetic because I wanted it. I paid for my lapband 18 grand and paid for tummy tuck, breast lift with implants and liposuction which was another 18 grand. I feel it was the best thing I ever did and it was getting the lapband! I wish you lots of luck  -
Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
allielee replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hey there skinny! You look amazing. I am so glad you are doing well. I am now 4 days post op and feeling alot better. I saw your drain was on the side of you, I have two coming straight out of the mound of my vagina.. eek. I am also hoping to get them out on Wed when I go see doc. I have to thank you for all your great info. I didn't have alot of pain except in thighs where I had lipo which was a huge surprise. Have you tried the wedge pillow? I swear by it. It has helped keep me at the angle with pillows under my knees. One thing I would suggest to anyone getting plastic surgery, you need someone you feel comfortable with, with you for at least 3 days. It is rough going, I got a uti and uggh it was terrible. Thank God my hubby was there to take great care of me. Keep posting pics skinny! I am glad you are feeling so good! -
Well, I am home and finally on the good side of recovery. I ended up getting a uti that I swear just about killed me. I have all these compression garments on and could not pee and when I did it was a trickle and extremely painful. I started running a fever and hubby freaked. I am on meds and doing much better. I have to say the tummy and boobs feel great the most painful thing was the lipo of the thighs. I was really surprised this hurt the most. I thought that would be the least painful. I will be posting pics either tonight or tomorrow of my afters.. they might not be that pretty, I am really bruised and swollen but the swelling has come down quite a bit. My hubby loves the new me  I swear I can hear my implants sloshing around when I move. Weird. I am hoping I can get my drains out on Wednesday when I go to the doc. They are a pain in the butt. I took a shower yesterday and it was glorious. LOL. My hubby came in with me to wash and support me. I am slowly weening of the pain killers and will be glad when I am able to get around without being exhausted. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.. I'm pretty bummed I wont be out with all the other Black Friday shoppers

hi everyone.. well, today is the first day I have been able to be conscious. I ended up getting a terrible uti which made everything else 100 times worse. Not being able to pee really just about killed me. I am doing much better and can actually get out of bed by myself, getting back in is another story. I am walking around and love what my body is looking like.. the bruises are pretty bad but I can see a great result. I will take pics when hubby gives me shower tonight. Here is a pic of me day of surgery, I was really swollen in this pic, I have lost 11 pounds since day of surgery. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers! I also did get quite a bit taken out the night before surgery. I was puking up Water my lapband doc said my nerves were closing it. He took out 1cc and I actually had 1/2 of a grilled cheese, I haven't had a grilled cheese in 18 months lol.. xoxo -
Holy Crap, tomorrow is the day. I am so excited and nervous. I hope I have everything I need. I have been on a mission. Today I am going out Christmas shopping just in case I won't be able to or if something happens. I am buying something special for my hubby and each of my girls. I just want to be sure that no matter what they have something from me. I figure if I am prepared nothing bad will happen lol. I am happy that I will have the pain pump and hope that I won't be to much of a burden to my family. I will try and get on here as soon as I can after to keep everyone posted. Wish me luck!!!!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
TOMORROW! Wow I can't believe that tomorrow I will be on my way to finishing what I started on June 20, 2008. I am so excited and nervous all rolled into one. I think I am ready lol. I have purchased every thing I might possibly need. I am going out today to do some christmas shopping. I was just thinking gosh what if it takes me forever to feel better and I can't get out there to shop. I want to make sure that I get something special for my hubby and my girls. I also think the more prepared I am the less likely anything will go wrong. I will try and get on here as soon as I can after surgery. I am hoping I have a speedy recovery. Please keep me in your prayers  -

It's Allie's turn for plastics!

gahhhh day after tomorrow I will be in surgery at 8:30 a.m.! I am so excited and soo nervous. Kate I didn't get an unfill, I am actually really tight and asked my lapband doc and he said I didn't need to get an unfill. The percocets that I have are small. I have so much to do today.. I am trying to keep busy so I am going to get my nails (mani and pedi) done (no nail polish per doc) but cleaned up. I have to go find some large sweatpants with pockets to hold the drains.. going to finish all the laundry and make a couple dinners to have in the freezer for my family. I did have some sad news yesterday, my grandpa passed away. He has had alzheimers for years and really didn't remember anyone. It is so sad how that disease steals so much. Please keep me in your prayers on Thursday! -
Hey there.. congrats on your banding.. I eat popcorn occasionally but I can't eat crackers. When I do eat popcorn it is always less than a cup. But I love to snack on popcorn when at the movie theatre. I hope that helps.
-
breakfast : 2 cups of coffee lunch: small wendy's chili snack: 3 circus peanuts dinner: 1/2 cup homemade stew (just meat and carrots) snack: pumpkin cappucinno I can never eat anything before 11 a.m. I wish I could say no to the circus peanuts

Simple Poll - If you had it to do over...
allielee replied to LuuLuu's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I would do it again in a heart beat! I paid 18,500 for my lapband and I would pay it again no matter what! I am below my goal and scheduled for my tummy tuck and breast lift on Thursday Nov. 19 yes in a couple of days!!! This is the best thing I have ever done. I reached goal in just about a year. -
Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

Hey there skinny!! I am so glad to see you are doing so great. I have of course been freaking out since I will be going in on Thurs for my tt and breast lift. I was so glad to hear that it wasn't as bad as you thought it was going to be. Knowing that your 5 out of 10 pain level made me feel better too! I can hardly wait to see your after pics. I did not get an unfill and now am wondering if I should have. I am really tight but I do like it that way. I plan on just living on protein shakes for the first 2 weeks. Have you showered yet? What kind of clothes did you wear the day of surgery and do you have any tips on clothes? I am really getting excited and now that I saw you were doing so well I am not as scared. xoxoxoxoxoxox -

allielee replied to wannabthinagain's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I am sooo excited you liked your Doc. You are pretty much getting the exact same thing I am but I added the lipo of the thighs. Can I ask how much you are paying? I am paying 18,950 with the pain pump added which I definetly need lol. I can hardly wait to hear when your date is. It is so exciting! xoxox -

how did your consult go???????????????????? -
Hey there. congrats on your banding! I weigh every day which is a really bad thing. I am almost ocd about it. The problem with weighing every day is you really don't see the big difference. I would go to the doc's for a fill thinking I hadn't lost much maybe 1/2 pound and voila I had lost 7. It is because when you weigh every day you see just a slight difference. But those little differences really add up fast! I am at goal and still am obsessed with it. On one hand though the scale stopped me from eating to much. If I got on and weighed and felt that it was up I would be extra cautious of what I ate that day. On the other hand it could cause me to feel defeated. THE SCALE IS EVIL lol. Good luck. I don't think I helped much lol.

Thanks so much Shalee!! I feel great! -
I am getting a Tummy Tuck, Breast lift with Implants and lipo of the thighs on November 19. I am really starting to worry about the pain. How much pain can I expect? Also was there any things that helped you besides pain meds example pillows? etc? Any and all help would be appreciated! Less than 2 weeks now!
