It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
ok so first off, Skinny yep my doc thinks the new bras are great. I did do something to my boob and he said that he could open it up to drain some of the blood or just let it heal, he said left boob would be healing about 2 months behind right boob. Now for the drains.. uggh. They did take them out and it was soooo terrible!!! They took one out at a time and I actually screamed on the second one. They said that the pubic ones are the worst and I can't imagine anything hurting more than that. I think the entire surgery center could hear me yelling. I was not a happy camper. But now I am doing great! I uploaded a bunch of new pics in before and afters and of me in a bikini in my private album. So excited. I am getting the thigh lift either the last week of January or the first monday in February. That will finish my transformation. I hope you have a great evening.. going to go "cuddle" with my honey! hahahah hell yeah!!!!!! -

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Oh and I found such a great deal, I have been looking for a bra and haven't had any luck. I was told to try Walmart and Voila, they had a two pack of a sports bra that has clasps in the front and is made of cotton and sooo comfortable! The two pack was wait for it..... $10.00 holy moly what a great deal!!! I was so excited I bought two packs.. so I have two whites, a black and a grey! I hated having to wash my surgical bra every day and wait for it to dry. Now I have plenty!! I couldn't believe how great they are. -

I am getting my drains out tomorrow toooooo!!! I am still draining.. you? Skinny, the big "O" was amazing.. Since the first one post surgery, I have been addicted rofl. They are alot more intense for some reason, but heck I'm not complaining. It doesn't hurt just really really WOWZER hahaha. -

Good Morning! mimi- they don't carry DD's with no underwire :tongue2: I heard to try Walmart. Heading there today for a bit. Shalee- I hope they end up being the same lol. I am too pretty scared about the thigh lift but I can't imagine it being worse than what I just went through and believe me I will be buying the pain pump for that too. I hear ya about the money but the thigh lift is only 6 grand, what 6 grand more when I spent almost 19 lol. You only live once. Tlam- Congrats on your TT. I agree it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.. could have been the pain pump though lol. My doc says I need to wear the compression garment for three weeks post surgery. I am sure I will continue to wear it even after. It really makes me feel safer lol. When it is off I am afraid my guts will spill out. I can hardly wait to not wear it at night though. Mine goes from bottom of breast to knees. I don't think that is the normal compression garment but since I had lipo of the thighs I had to have the whole thing. there is a cut out for the crotch. Ok so my hubby and I have been experimenting since a couple of days ago. No "intercourse" but jeez ok how do I say this politely.. the "O" was gahhhh amazing! The only thing is my tummy muscles started spasming like crazy. Thank God I was still wearing my garment. He can't keep his hands off of me lol. Ok sorry if that was TMI.. I just know some were wondering when intimacy can begin.. you just have to be creative. I know I'm in trouble tomorrow though. All he keeps saying is THURSDAY your drains come out.. with wiggly eyebrows. lol.. I'm excited and nervous. We will be extremely careful but I can hardly wait hahahaha. -

Wow, I went to the mall, bought a new outfit at NY & CO then went and looked around victoria's secret then went to Target. All in all I was gone for only 2 hours but jeez I was exhausted. Oh I did stop by wendy's and got that damn cheeseburger. GAHH. I got home ate and crashed. I woke up 2 hours later. Whew. I think I bit off a little to much. Just because I feel good doesn't mean I can go gallavanting. lol. I noticed today that my left nipple is a little lower than it was before the popping I felt. It's very slight but before my nipples were exactly even now the left is just a tiny bit lower. I am hoping when I go for my thigh lift it can be revised. If not it's not like it's a big difference at all. I hope everyone has a wonderful evening!! -

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy
allielee replied to skinnyjeans's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hey there skinny! Wow I can't believe you don't have a compression garment!!! I can't even imagine. Every time I take it off I feel like my guts might fall out. You can purchase them at any medical supply place. It really gives you support! I hope you find one. You will be amazed at what a difference it makes. -

Hey there! Ok I'm hanging my head in shame, I have to admit that yesterday I did something I never thought I would do. I realized that since I was so loose with my fill I could eat. I went and bought a cheeseburger from wendy's and I ate it gahhh I haven't had a cheeseburger in 18 months! I realize that I am not in control. Without my band I would gain all the damn weight back. GRRRR. Thank goodness for my band. I called and changed my fill from dec 7 to dec 3. I know I need that control. Ok so unfortunately I am going to go get another cheeseburger today gahh. It was so delicious.. there I said it. Ok I'm moving on now. I feel awesome! I took my first alone shower this morning. My hubby has been taking them with me in fear I would fall. I woke up and felt so great but wanted to feel clean lol. He's probably gonna kill me but it was glorious. I am healing really great. I even did my hair and put makeup on. I am so looking forward to these drains coming out. They are still filling every day which tells me I still have lots of swelling. I love how flat my tummy is! My boobs are black and green.. the bruising is terrible. lol. Good new the stool softeners are working like a charm and I recommend popping those alot after surgery. I should have been taken at least 3 a day and would have felt better alot sooner. I did alot of my christmas shopping last night online. I used my "reward" points from my credit cards to purchase gift cards and presents and finished everyone except 2 step neices and my hubby and kids (they are half done). Not to bad. I got $620 bucks free from those reward points.. we always save them all year for christmas.. really helps take pressure off. Have a terrific day! -
Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

Hey there Skinny! Wow I would be stressed too. My youngest daughter is a senior as well.. Maybe try to explain to him that a GED is not the equivalant of a high school diploma and could really hurt him for future employment. I understand wanting to be a firefighter but really it's only 6 months away and like mimi said he could take night classes for emt. I used to be a headhunter and can tell you alot of employers will not hire someone who has a GED instead of a high school diploma, heck alot of employers won't hire unless you have at least a bachelor's. It's tough out there and to further limit himself could be trouble. I know firefighters don't require the same things as regular employers but who knows he might need to do something different in the future. I hope I helped. I am unemployed now and have a bachelor's and still feel that it is not enough to get a quality position. You are looking awesome girl! Keep up the good work! -
Cathy, I am so glad you are having fun playing with the boys!! I hope your cream of the crop is the one lol..

reality check after banding
allielee replied to dragonflylover's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am too a food addict. I thought that I had honestly beat it. I just had a tummy tuck and breast lift and had to get a slight unfill before surgery. Since June of 2008 I have been a very good Lapband patient, I've followed the rules religously and it got me to goal in a year. Today I am 11 days plastic surgery post op and I actually ate a cheeseburger. GAHHHHHHHH I haven't had a cheeseburger in over a year and a half!!!! I realize that the band is really what has forced me to lose weight. Here all this time I thought I had control. I admit I was wrong. Thank goodness I have this band to get my butt in gear. I called and made an appt to get a fill put back in! If I can just make it till Thursday without eating all my trigger foods. Good luck and Congrats on your banding! -

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thanks great!!! They said they didn't have a scale big enough to weight the stomache. but I weigh so much less than day of surgery. NONE of my clothes fit. I can only wearing comfy pants now and I have mediums and they literally are falling off of me!!! I am guessing I am a size 6 now. I can hardly wait to go try clothes on. Thursday drains come out and Friday I will be shopping!!!!!! Soo excited. I told hubby that's all I want is new clothes. He said there was no way my clothes pre ps surgery would fit me. He keeps calling me his itty bitty wife lol. I LOVE IT! I feel really tiny too. I am so happy with the way my body has turned out. My surgeon did a great job. Once I can put some clothes on I will be posting pics. And yes I am really swollen in all those pics. I still have tons of stuff draining which tells me lots of swelling still left. Did you meet with Apples??? -
It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Good Morning! Skinny.. Thanks for the bali idea. I think I need to wait till the swelling goes down a bit. I am able to stand almost straight but hunch a little to keep from stretching my scar. I am healing so fast it's crazy. I do get tired easily and my back kills me after a while. I think I did something to my right breast. The other night while getting out of bed to pee I used my right arm to help get me out of bed and I felt a popping in my breast. It felt like I busted all the stitches around my nipple. I didn't think anything of it till last night my hubby said holy moly. My left breast is sooo bruised! It is black in some areas. I hope I didn't do anything bad to it. The bruising is not around the nipple but under it and all the way to base of my body. Crazy! I found myself so hungry yesterday! I ate more for dinner than I usually do in a day lol. That 1cc taken out really opened up my hunger. I have a fill appt on Dec 7 and plan on getting at least half of the fill put back in. I promised hubby I wouldn't get it all put back. I hope you have a great day! -
It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Happy Sunday! So yesterday was a great day, I ended up going shopping for a bit and then went out to dinner. I sat on the couch for a couple hours and chatted with friends. It was awesome. I woke up today feeling great and cleaned the kitchen and bathroom and exhausted myself. No going out today. My hubby has been shampooing our basement carpets today so I have been watching TV for the past couple of hours. Well my body is feeling awesome but so very weird. I have alot of the creepy crawly feelings which my hubby thinks is nerves reawakening. My scars are all really looking great. On my tummy scar though on the farthest spot on my right the skin is puckered alot. When I get my thigh lift I will get a revision there. My breast are still extremely swollen and hard. They kind of feel like when I had my babies and my milk came in. REALLY ENGORGED. We tried to find a bra but to no avail. I couldn't find anything without underwire in my size. I haven't taken pain meds, not even tylenol in 2 days. I know for sure when the drains come out I will be my old self. I can hardly wait for the rest of the swelling to go down so I can shop! I have lost weight every single day since surgery. I am glad I got that little bit of an unfill but not a total unfill. I can eat but still have restriction. My hubby is getting worried about my weight so he made me drink an eggnog shake today lol. I know it will all work out in the end. I can hardly wait to start excercizing. I have so much motivation right now. I want to tone my legs as much as possible before my thigh lift to get optimal results. I will be taking pics friday when I can put on some panties. I will post as soon as they upload lol. I have been putting up pics in my private album. Well, I am off to check on my hubby. Have a great Sunday evening! -
how bad is the post op pain?
allielee replied to Foxyroxy2b's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey there, i also had 2 c sections and they are worse. The lapband for me was only painful due to gas, shoulder pain. I had pain for about 4 days then I was good to go. I hope you have a super easy time. Your banding is the day before my 19 year wedding anniversary :-) -
hey there. I just wanted to tell you, I didn't get a complete unfill I actually just got 1cc taken off and I have done great. I was super tight before that 1cc so I still have restriction but nothing crazy. I haven't pb'd once since surgery. Maybe don't get a complete unfill. I would be worried about that too. xoxo

Congratulations!!! And let me tell you the Optifast diet was the hardest thing I ever did. It is so much easier after banding. I am so excited for you and your wife. Lapband saved my life. A little hint, I used to take the optifast throw it in the blender with some ice a little sweet and low and either choco syrup for the choco optifast or vanilla extract for the vanilla with some pumpkin pie spice. Really made the optifast yummy and by making it into a shake felt very filling. I hope that helps.. also adding mint extract to the choco or strawberry was good too. I always made them as shakes.

Gotten to your goal weight? Got excess skin?
allielee replied to jessicakolman's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hey there.. ok so pre band I was like you really worried about the skin. And to be honest, yes I had skin issues but unless I was naked you had no idea. My main profile pic of me in the cop outfit is before plastic surgery. I used to say pre lapband... ewww I would rather be fat than have extra skin, well that is bs. Please look at my pre lapband pic and then my at goal pic and you can see that I look so soooooo much better with extra skin than when I was fat. I did have plastic surgery 9 days ago to get rid of the extra skin, I want to look hot in and out of clothes  . I hated my body pre lapband wouldn't undress in front of hubby. Hated my rolls but after I got to goal even with skin I would walk proudly naked as a jaybird. The skin is the least thing to worry about. I can 100% say I would rather have loose skin than it be filled wit fat any day!!! If you become a "friend" of mine on here you can see pics of me at goal with my skin issues, and then after plastic surgery. Warning, I am pretty much naked. I hope this helps you and I wish you goal in no time!!!!!! GO LAPBAND! -
I'm not sure what you are looking for but here is my tips lol. 1. Think of it as an investment. When my hubby and I calculated the cost of my weight watchers, diets and such I knew over 20 years the 18 grand for lapband would pay for itself. 2. I no longer go out to eat. If I do I eat a couple bites of hubby's or get an app. Major Major savings here. We would go out at least 3 nights a week and I went out for lunch every day. This alone save me approximately 240 a month in dinners and 150 in lunches. I used 7.50 per lunch and 20 bucks per dinner to come to an average. I know I spent more than that for sure. So that's 2880 a year. Just in going out my lapband will pay for itself in approx 6 and a quarter years. I also stopped getting my daily dunkin donut coffee and bagel.. which I didnt even calculate here. 3. I have a 2007 cadillac cts and spent at least double my lapband cost and it will probably only last me maybe 10 years.. this new body of mine will last me my whole life, I added years to me. I no longer have chest pains, shortness of breathe and I am HOT now lol. So my tips are realize that the costs out of pocket now will all work out. I actally think I am saving money by spending the money on lapband! I conviced my hubby of this so much he let me spend anothe 18 grand on a tummy tuck and breast lift with implants..
