yep I had stitches but there are no scars at all. It's weird but you can't even tell that there was anything done to my nipples at all. I am amazed at what a great job he did. Even the long scar from nipple down to under the breast is so thin now, you won't even be able to see it in a couple of months. I viewed his work via pictures before my surgery and that was one of the main reasons I chose him, his stitching skills are AMAZING. He specializes in repairing breasts after mastectomy's. I will be posting pics soon!!! I haven't even started using mederma yet! I am thrilled with all my scars and results :biggrin:

Good Morning! Yesterday I had all my stitches removed woo hoo! It was really odd feeling having the stitches pulled out from around my nipples, once all the stitches were out my boobs felt so much better! The stitches were really pulling on them. They no longer hurt at all! Doc was really please with how everything looked. I also had my preop for my thigh lift. I ended up changing the date from Jan 28 to Jan 18. My daughter will be home from college until the 24 so hubby won't have to take extra days off from work. My doc said I need to stay in bed as much as possible for at least a week after the thigh lift. He said that since the stitches are in the crease of the thigh, just the weight of your legs could pull open the stitches. So I will be bed bound for at least a week. He also said no excercizing for 10 weeks post op from thigh lift. I also went and got a little fill yesterday. We went to another Christmas party last night and had alot of fun. We have another big one tomorrow night which I am sooo excited for. A wealthy friend of mine throws a huge 4th of july and christmas party every year. He has it catered, open bar and always gives away thousands of dollars in prizes! Last year someone won a smart car! Crazy! You never know what he has up his sleeve! I am coming down with some crud.. I feel so blecky. We are expecting 6 inches plus of snow on Sunday and I am NOT HAPPY about it at all! Have a great day, I am off to finish Christmas shopping and do some grocery shopping :biggrin:

oohhh happy happy day.. so I haven't wanted to say anything afraid it would be true but I was 7 days later for my period and totally FREAKING out. I had realized that all those antiobiotics I was on probably made my birth control not effective.. gahhhhhhh.. that was the last thing on my mind. So I have been having a coronary waiting and today my period came wooo hoo.. so friggin happy so excited. Whew.. what a relief. That would just be my luck. My youngest starts college in the fall and I have a brand new body that is so ready to wear a bikini this summer for the first time in 18 years! Praise God he knew I just needed a scare and not a baby.. I think it was late just from the toll of the surgery. So needless to say this is a great day for me Going to go make another cup of coffee and just enjoy the day. I hope everyone has something that makes them happy today. xoxo

So awesome to hear Kate! The meds thing, just to let you know, I had to go off of them, I went through like 65 percocets in 4 days. I knew I would be overusing them. I have a very addictive personality, I used to smoke and smoked 2-3 packs a day, I had a serious over eating problem and now I am smoke free but still struggle with my eating issues. So I made myself go off of them early. I don't think going off of them early is a great idea but for me I had too. So please don't feel like you are on them longer than most. I am just a nut case lol. I am glad your drains weren't to bad coming out! Hey we are not that far from one another. We should try to meet at some point. Maybe this summer we can meet in NY. We are huge Yankees fan's and go to alot of the games. OK really my hubby is a huge Yankee fan and I am a huge hubby fan so I go. I hope you don't try to go home to early.. I still need help with things like unloading the bottom of the dishwasher, transfering clothes from washer to dryer.. doc says no picking up anything heavier than 2 pounds. Really you know how many things weigh more than 2 pounds! But my left boob is proof you can do to much to soon. You don't want a black and green boob! So enjoy this time as you recover.. I try and think of it as my me time.. IM REALLY SICK OF ME TIME lol.. xoxo

hey there Fanny! I had this same issue and talked to doc and one of my breast was significantly lower than the other before plastic surgery and he had to do more work to one than the other. This caused one to be more swollen than the other. The swelling has started to go down, although I am still swollen I can see that they will be even once they are both unswelled. I say it is a wait and see game. If you had uneven breast before, one might be more swollen than the other.. hope that helps.. and honestly I wouldn't worry about it. If in 6 months it still bothers you then would be the time to think about a revision. Hey I'm just glad mine are now pointing straight out instead of straight down. And they are no longer almost at my belly button life is good :ohmy:

Hey Kate, I was off of meds completely in 5-6 days. I drove the second week but that was ok since I hadn't been on meds in so long. I thought I had already posted to this but I guess not. If your drains are in your pubic area you might want someone to go with you. It was quite painful and I don't think I could have driven after having them removed. I do have a low threshold for pain though. Good luck sugar and I loved your facebook status.. you do rock!

.. gahh to the knee? I would never get it done if that were the case. I didn't wan't scars where people could see them while I was wearing a bikini. The thigh lift scar is in the crease of my groin around to just under buttock. All the scar is in crease where you wont see it. My arms aren't that bad, at least I don't think they are. I will wear a sleeveless shirt and I do have some extra skin there but it doesn't bother me enough to get the surgery and have the big long scar down it. I hope they come up with a better surgery for that. Like with the thigh lift if they could keep the scar in the armpit somehow I would get it done. I went to my nieces christmas concert and my whole family was there. No one in my family has seen me since surgery and everyone was shocked at how different I looked. I was pretty excited. Although I have fallen off some damn wagon here lately. I actually just ate 3 rice krispie treats I bought at that concert. Gosh! I did call and have a fill appt for Thurs and lord it can't come soon enough. It's not that I'm eating alot it's just what I am eating that sucks. I do go up and down sooo much on the scale on a daily basis. But in general I am down about 10 pounds from day of plastic surgery. I can wear the 8's really comfortably now. I wear jeans every day and am loving how flat my tummy looks. My boobs are still swollen but the bruising is now light green and no longer looks so yucky. My scars on my boobs are almost invisible already! My doc did an amazing job. In a month or two you won't even be able to see them at all! The line is soooo thin and it's already faded so much! Really excited. I am getting to the point of hating my garments. Gosh these things are such a pain. I have to wash one every day so I have a clean one to wear every day.. what a pain! I wish I had like 4. LOL. Well, I am off to bed. Have a great night!

well here I am 24 days post op from my plastic surgery.. I am feeling pretty good probably if I had to measure it.. 70%. I go on Thursday to get my stitches all out which will be awesome. That is also my preop day for my thigh lift. UGH. I am so dreading that surgery. I still can't believe how long it is taking me to feel 100% again. I know that is really going to make me feel bad all over again. I do know it will be worth it and I don't want to drag it out. I want to be in my best shape ever this coming summer.. :confused: I think though if I had to choose I would have done this surgery during the summer. These damn garments are a pain in the @ss. Also the shivering really makes the stitches pull around my nipples and I am constantly feeling weird sensations throughout my body, which I am sure is nerve endings firing back to life. At least I hope that's it.. lol. I have finally been getting into the christmas spirit. I am still unable to do the majority of household work which is frustrating but i am sure not as frustrating as it is to my hubby and kids who have had to pick up the slack. lol. Well, I am off to get dinner out of the crockpot.. i made a pot roast in the crockpot and a homemade eggnog cheesecake for dessert. I am testing the eggnog cheesecake recipe for a work thing my hubby has to bring a dessert. So this is the trial taste test. Hey there! Sorry I haven't been on lately, been soo busy with Christmas and ok I'll admit the truth... I have become addicted to a stupid game on facebook (treasure madness).. lol. I had a great time at the Christmas party! I ended up wearing a black mini skirt (not really mini but about 3 inches above the knee) a black shiny tank top and a purple sweater with rhinestone buttons, with my tall black boots and black panyhose. I think I looked pretty hot if I do say so myself lol. Not to conservative but classy and sexy. The fun thing was my daughters both work at the same place and they had their christmas party the same night. I just assumed it was at the retirement home they work at.. it has a restaurant where they both waitress. As we all were getting ready to leave we discovered our parties were at the same place! Their party was in the adjoining room to ours. They kept coming over to our party and stealing Danny and I to come dance with them at theirs lol. My youngest Jenna was pulling me around telling everyone that I was her mom. I was glowing! She was so proud to introduce me to everyone! I felt so great knowing that she was proud of me and wanted people to know I was her mom. I am sure when I was at my heaviest it must have been embaressing for both my girls. They never said that but just to see her face and how she was beaming really made this whole entire process sooo worth it! Their party had more top 40 music and our party had a more 50,60 and 70 type of music. We had so much fun! They even had a photographer taking professional pics at our party so we got a package with just Danny and me and then a family package done! They will be in at the end of the week and if I can figure out how to scan them I will post them on here. I have been feeling great! I went shopping at the mall for three hours yesterday! I still have some swelling, by the end of every day I am up about 6-8 pounds by evening time. I go to sleep weigh and I am down every morning lol. So that tells me I am still having some swelling. I am now only wearing the garment during the day. I get my stitches out on thursday woo hoo! Thursday is also my preop appt for my thigh lift. I will be so glad when it is all done and I am feeling great again. I am really nervous this time, more than I was last time. I just know it's going to be pretty painful. UGH. Today my plan is to stay in my pajamas, make some eggnog cheesecake for Danny's work.. make some pumpkin, chocolate chip walnut bread for some friends and clean my house. I also might get some more wrapping done. I LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME! Have a glorious day everyone!!!!! xoxo

Hey Kate! I have to agree with you.. my mons is so nice now! I am not sure if it is from being pulled up but my honey is quiet pleased with how little it is now. :eek: A huge plus I wasn't sure would be fixed. I can hardly wait to see your pics girl!!

Oh Kate, I am so glad to hear you are doing so well! That is awesome that your mom is a critical care nurse and does reiki!! Just know that every day will be better and at 1 week out you will start to feel human again. I can hardly wait to see your pics!!!!! I also lost a significant amount of weight after my surgery I am down about 11 pounds since day of plastic surgery. I think not getting a complete unfill helped. Also the percocets just didn't make me hungry at all. Have a great day sugar!

Hello! So I posted some new pics of my brand new bikini in my before and after album. I also got my new hair lol. I love it. Hubby thought it was neat how I could go from long to short. Our anniversary was very nice. Hubby had asked for a romantic table next to a fireplace and it was sooo romantic until a table with 4 women and 9 small children came in half way through our dinner. The kids were yelling and running around. UGH why do people bring small kids to fancy restaurants at night? If you want to teach them how to behave at restaurants go during the day for criminey christmas! Last thing we expected.. as the plates were 20 bucks or more.. why bring kids to a place like that jeez. Ok but other than that it was a lovely evening :thumbup: I am getting super frustrated by my physical limitations.. I want to do so much more than I am. My doc says no picking up anything more than 2 pounds.. No doing laundry and no unloading bottom rack of dishwasher. He also said no bending over to pick things up off of the floor. It's killing me. I want to clean clean clean! I still get really tired so easily. I hate when I get cold and I shiver the stitches pull around my nipples and ugh it's such a weird feeling. I can hardly wait to get those stitches out! I have to wait till Dec 17 for that though. It snowed here today so I was house bound :scared2: I am not "allowed" to shovel so I hung out at home today. I still haven't found an outfit for the party on saturday night. Looks like I am going to go for a black skirt and a nice top. I am hoping to be able to get out there tomorrow. Hey there.. mimi, my doc said no excercize at all for at least 6 weeks.. he doesn't want me to get my heart rate above 85 until at least then. I think walking at a light pace would be ok. As long as you kept your heart rate down.

Good Morning! So I didn't find a dress yesterday, I think I am going to have to resort to a skirt and a top.. My boobs are really so swollen still. I tried on a size 8 dress that was to big in the waist and to tight on top lol. So today I am off to find a size 6 black skirt and a festive top. Wish me luck! Today is hubby and my 19th wedding anniversary :thumbup: we are going out to a very very nice restaurant tonight! Yesterday I went and got another little fill. I think I could use a smidge more. I am not eating alot but still want some damn Christmas cookies. Gahh. My doc made me promise to get in one protein shake a day. I am going to be one of his poster children lol. I had to send pics for their website before and afters and I am going to be doing seminars and working possibly in the office. I am excited. When I was in the waiting room all these wonderul people were all asking me tons of questions.. it seems like just yesterday I was one of them pre lapband and wanting to be thin. Here I am someone they can see as a lapband success story. I think helping others who are struggling with their weight would be a great thing to do with the rest of my life. My old boss offered me a position with the company again and after talking with hubby decided NO THANKS.. It was great great money but 99% of them were alcoholic, pot smoking, pill addicted men. They all smoked cigarettes in the office and I am a reformed smoker. I really never want to be in a working enviornment like that again. We do what we have to when the money is right but hubby said my health and sanity is worth more than any amount of money. Isn't he amazing? I can't believe how deeply I am still in love with that man after all these years. I hope everyone has a great day and sorry for my rambling... I have had 4 cups of coffee already lol. xoxo
