before and after pics TT/BA & Thigh lift :)
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
It was as painful as I expected but only for about a week. I was a D cup before and had a lift and implants and now I am a DD. Good luck with your journey! Are you close to getting ps??? -
Hey there Junies!! Wow what a quiet thread this has become. I miss all of you Junies and hearing about your lives. Please check in and let's keep this thread going.. You girls who gained will lose it in no time! Unfortunately as you know the band isn't a cure just a tool. But the good news is you can get a fill and get back on track. I have friends who have had bypass and gained it all back and they don't have a tool to help them get back on track. I am doing great now. I had a terrible time with my thigh lift and the problems that came with it. I am finally feeling like a normal person again lol. I have started working out again finally. I just couldn't take being out of breathe climbing the stairs. I need to build up my endurance. I have been doing the treadmill for 40 min and the elliptical for 30 min and 20 min of weights for my arms. I so far have been every day this week and I am really loving it. I can't believe I said that lol. The 27th of February I am having a huge 40th birthday bash. I am so excited to be in the best shape since I was like 18! I have been shopping like crazy for a dress and have bought quite a few but not sure if they are the "one" . I will be taking pictures soon and hopefully you all can help me decide. So my junies... please check in.. let me and everyone know how you have been, what you have been up to.. <3

Hi everyone!!!! I have great news... Downtown is now open for business lol. I am back to normal finally! I am feeling soooo great. Ok so an update on what's been happening.. My wedding ring set had gotten so big on me even with the guard hubby said time to get it resized. We went and my set was a size 9 ( back years ago I had to have it stretched to accomodate my sausage fingers ) well they measured me and my finger is now a 5 -1/2! What a huge difference. It was such a great difference they said that I needed to get a brand new set. we went to two different jewelers and they both said the same thing. So here I am with no rings.. They are supposed to be ready on the 23rd. The reason I told you this was to explain why the following happened.. lol So last night was the first time I went to the gym since my surgery's.. it was so great an hour and a half of treadmill and bike.. low impact and it was great to just get some excercize. But as I was on the treadmill two different guys came over and hit on me. It's so weird to have that happen especially twice! I feel so great about how I look. I am so pleased with my results. My thighs still swell every evening but I know that will go away soon. I haven't gained any weight thank god.. I hear that happens alot after ps. I am super tight and like it that way. I do want to tone everything up though.. Summer is right around the corner  My 40th birthday is the 26th and we are having a huge bash on the 27th.. so excited. I am still looking for that perfect dress and in the process have bought 8 new dresses. I'm not sure if any of them are the one so I keep looking lol. I figure the more choices I have the better. I love love shopping now. All the dresses are 8 or 10.. I struggle since my boobs are so big that I need a bigger dress to get them over the boobs but my waist is so small .. I might have to get something altered to get the perfect look. I will have hubby take pics and post them on here of my dresses  you girls can help me pic the perfect one! -
Hi Janet, I had my boobs and tummy tuck done at same time then I had my thighs done. I am wearing a size 1o jeans can wear 8 but since my thigh lift was only a month ago I don't want them to be to tight. I am super happy with my results.. good luck to you!

It's Allie's turn for plastics!
allielee replied to allielee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hey there.. well, I had to go back to the doc today. Downtown is still hurting. Now they say I have dermatitis due to all the stress from the surgery, my immune and lymphatic system going crazy so they changed to straight steroid lotion. I am getting more and more frustrated. I just hope this time it works and within a couple of days I am cured. I really can't take much more. I am trying to stay positive and happy and wow I am struggling. I took another pain pill last night just so I wouldn't itch. I know it could always be worse so I am hoping for the best. Other than that I am doing great lol My unemployment ran out this week but I am getting an extension which was a nice surprise. Have a great day everyone! -

Hey everyone, well I ended up having to go on IV antibiotics, the UTI I had gotten from the catheter never went away so not only did I have a major infection I had a allergic reaction to the cipro (antibiotic) it was sooo terrible. My lady parts were a huge mess from all that going on down there. I also had to get steroid shots to help. No wonder I was in so much agony. I also had a very inflammed hemmorohoid that had to be removed. Let's just say my downtown are is in rough shape but at least now I am on my way to being better. I was ready to pull my hair out I was so miserable. The bad and good was that from the thigh lift the feeling down there is more numb but I was still miserable from it. I didn't even realize I was running a fever. I have to go every day for a couple of hours for IV antibiotics. I refused to be admitted unless absoloutely necessary. I hate staying overnight in hospitals.. I can never sleep there. I know to get better I need rest. I also am feeling sooo much better with the steroid shots and creme. So thanks so much for your support I really appreciate it. I am on the way to being better and really seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. xoxo -

thanks everyone... Karey I am going to check into the massages. I am still struggling as a matter of fact went back on pain killers, I just couldn't take it. I made a doctor's appt with my primary care doc. I think I might have a yeast infection from the antibiotics. All my girl parts are killing me. My hubby gave me a full body massage and focused on my thighs. It made things feel so much better. I don't know if just having him rub me and feeling so cared and loved helped or if it was the massage. I woke up in the middle of the night in the midst of a terrible nightmare and he grabbed me and tucked me into his arm and calmed me down, poor guy if it's not one thing it's the other. Have to take pain pills but they give me terrible nightmares and night sweats. But it was worth being able to sleep for a couple of solid hours. I hope I have good news with a cure tomorrow lol. Thank you so much for all of your support! -
thanks caldwell, I have to say I followed the band rules especially no pasta, rice or carbonated beverages since those can stretch your pouch. I also never ate more than a cup of food at a time. Also getting your fills and excercizing as much as possible.

What would you do, if this happened to you?
allielee replied to jenrobbar951's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey there, I am sorry about your Mom. That is a terrible thing to go through. I just wanted to give you another take on that phone call. It sounded more like she was worried about you not getting your fill asap. I know that at my doc's office most if not all the people who work there have had lapband and are so on top of trying to help patients make sure they get their fills. I know you were upset and maybe you misunderstood her intentions. Just a thought. -
Cardiac consult today - now need more tests!
allielee replied to mimi368's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This happened to me as well, except I didn't have hypertension, had great cholestorol and had never ever had high blood pressure, I failed my ekg, failed my stress test and then had to have a cardiac catheter. Thank god everything was ok. My capillary's were spazaming. I got my lapband within 2 months of my cardiac cath. Always better to be safe than sorry. -

Hey there. Well I am absoloutely totally positively miserable! Tomorrow will be 2 weeks and my legs are still killing me. If I am upright for more than really 30 minutes they swell and hurt so bad! I really expected to be completely better by now. I screwed up last week and went to the mall for about 2 hours and seriously my hubby had to put me in the car and scoop me out and bring me in the house. I couldn't walk I was in so much pain. The lipo of the legs is so rough and with the thigh lift I am just a mess. I haven't taken pain meds in forever at least a week. I really don't want to take them, I have a very addictive personality and don't want to become dependent on them. I also have a personal issue.. the thigh lift also does something else.. it pulls skin really tight next to my vagina and anus. This in itself has caused some discomfort. It is really tight and itchy down there. It all feels different down there. I am sure once I heal completely I will like it lol. I know I know I am complaining like crazy but I just am getting to my breaking point. I try not to complain to hubby, he has done soooo much for me. I am planning on just resting as much as possible this week which frustrates me to no end. I don't want him to do so much. So since I am on the complaining wagon, I have been having some shooting sharp pains in my nipples which my doc says is a great sign of my nerves starting to talk again. I will be glad when I can look back and say ahh that was a rough time and I'm glad I am normal again. I know I need to be patient, not my strong suit. I hope everyone is well. Please say a prayer for quick healing for me. I would appreciate it  xoxo -

Wannabthinagain's journey
allielee replied to wannabthinagain's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
so excited for you.. hey just a hint, I bought the wedge pillow at bed bath and beyond and it goes below your knees to elevate you. Plus by putting pillows under my head I was able to stay in bed but with knees and head up. It was so much more comfortable than the recliner. The pillow I believe was 19.99. You are almost there! -

Hi Great! I am soooo happy I got the PS! I would do it all over again in a heart beat! The change has been so dramatic for me physically and emotionally. Yes, the thigh lift was a more difficult recovery but alot less painful. It's more uncomfortable than painful. Definitely try the mederma! I highly recommend it! -

I went to my 1 week post op appt yesterday and it went great, they took out some stitches and I don't have to go back until March 2. Now the drive there and home was a challenge. Sitting up is such a literal pain in the butt. The stitches in the back are the worst. It's tough to walk, sit and pretty much do anything but lay down. I really think this recovery is alot tougher than the tummy tuck and breast lift. I still can't wear underwear since the seams hit in all the wrong spots. Although I can wear my hubby's briefs which the band comes farther down on my legs lol. The doc laughed when he saw I was wearing men's underwear. I am still wearing sweats and when home really just wearing pj's. The doc said I was healing terrific and couldn't believe how my tummy tuck and breast scars were fading so fast (go mederma!) He also said I still had alot of swelling in my thighs still. The lipo bruises are turning nice and yellow and fading fast. I can hardly wait to be able to sit comfortably and enjoy this new body of mine  The doc said it this was a really tough spot for surgery. Everything is really tight down there. Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day!
