    Honey!

i have had those little fage yogurts with the honey on the side and literally put like a DROP of honey in it and sent me straight to the bathroom! i did this one additional time to make sure it wasnt just a fluke thing and sure enough..upset stomach again! will i never be able to have anything with honey again??? i am trying to find little things that are kinda sweet because the doc said my blood sugar is low and sometimes i need something sweet to make me stop feeling so dizzy..now im scared to try anything else even remotely sweet. what should i do/try?!

  8. I'm 8 weeks out and am a little behind on advancing my diet to normal food because I've been in and out of the hospital, but today I came home and wanted to try something other than frickin yogurt! So I tried some deli turkey meat..it was too dry..I tried some turkey sausage, too dry. I want to hold off on any dark meat. I want to try different fish, shrimp, turkey, but don't know how to prepare them so they aren't too dry help! What are examples if what you guys first started out with in this soft to normal food stage? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Going out to eat for the first time..

I haven't tried eggs yet. I've just heard they upset a lot of people's stomach so I'm nervous to try them
  10. I'm a little over 4 weeks out and I mostly have yogurt, brothy soups, and cottage cheese. Going to brunch tomorrow and I looked at the menu. The only things that seem to be ok for my stage is oatmeal and clam chowder. Would clam chowder be bad to try? Not sure what to do because I can't try it ahead of time at home :/
  11. I had the same issue. It helped if i made sure to walk around throughout the day. It seemed like things wouldn't get as "stuck" that way. You should definitely try some crystal light flavors if you have a problem with plain water. Hope everything gets easier for you soon!
  12. I am a month out now (yay!) and am wondering what kind if fruits to have in a smoothie since I'm still in purée stage. I've heard bananas and canned peaches, anything else? Also..the canned peaches I've seen have soooo much sugar! Is there a problem with having fresh cut peaches?! Your input would be much appreciated, thanks!

    Late Night Walks Anyone?

That's a great start to your recovery. Walking will help with gas pains too and it's good to start sipping water to stay hydrated! Good luck!
