Pains that a CAT SCAN can't even see!!!!!!!!!!!
moving4word posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OK, So I had surgery almost a week ago. The past two days I'm been dieing of pain. (Stabbing only on the right side) Just under my ribs. At first I was told, it was gas. So I walk. Tried to drink more. Used a heating pad when the pain was sever. Well, last night I didn't get much sleep because of the pain. Then when I did get up. It was so sever, I could barely walk. Thought I'd have to call 911. Went to the ER and had a cat scan, they made sure it wasn't a blood clot, or any of the other organs on that side. Come to find out it wasn't even gas. Now I'm home and still don't know what's wrong with me.........! ANYONE with ideas or similar situations please commit! Thanks MOving4word -

OK, so I'm excited about my surgery, and have been ready for a while! Until, I saw my aunt the other day.,., Long story in less the 3 sentences. My mother had Gastric bypass over 7 years ago. lost over 100 lbs. Awesome for her! Then in the last 4 years has gained 35 lbs back. My aunt just had bypass one year ago this month. She looks amazing! She has lost over 100 lbs. Then I start wondering will I be that successful with the band?? I need to loss 100lbs? I'm younger then both of them. Fear of Being Thin...

I think the same way sometimes and other times I can remember that other girl back when weight didn't rule my life. I've missed her!! -

This is my first time here as a member. After reading and looking at all the before and after pictures of the hundreds who have lost weight thanks in part to the lapband, I had to meet others who are in the final stages. My name is Amy and I live in TN. I've lived here 3 years and in that time have manage to get as high as 315. I'm 5'9 and alot of my weight is in the middle(my gut) I've been over 250 for 3 to 5 years and over 200 for 10 years. My mother had gastric bypass 8 and 1/2 years ago. She was able to get under 200 I hope I will be able too.

I just finished all the pre-surgery testing and now I wait till they call me to schedual. I'm hoping some time in Oct. Not 100% though!

Anyway just wanted to join the support group here casue. You all seem real awsome!

Amy
