Just walk walk walk....get up at least once an hour and walk for 10 to 15 minutes. I'm not talking marathon walking but just puttering around the house. I drank my protien shakes every hour on the hour out of a shot glass. LOL It helped get them down and I didn't really get hungry since I was going to sip another one in an hour. Heating pad on the shoulder is good too. Can't help you on the bed though, I slept two nights in the corner of my sectional (no recliner) than went to bed in my waterbed.

Too late to see Chris, poor guy got voted off last night. Most people I talk to are still in shock! We didn't want him to win ...because we were afraid AI would screw up his cd like they did kelly's first and bo's.....but we wanted him to come in second.

Kathy you crack me up. Just stay away from my nutrtionist and you can keep your humor LOL. She has me questioning EVERYTHING. I'm turning into the food police myself. Karah the 6 year old won't eat bread anymore either (this will pass I'm sure) Melanne, It is frustrating when you feel like you are the only one not loosing the 2lbs a week . Or for me when I start loosing and see a drop on the scale daily then all the sudden boom, no more loss but a gain. I'm 6 months out and I cried like a baby last week because my nutritionist told me I was eating too many sugar grams in my yogurt...amoung other things. Hang in there, sometims your body just needs a rest from loosing. I like the suggestions from the othrs, try fit day, or posting in the daily food journal link. Relax your body can't hang on to the fat forever if you keep eating healthy. Look at as a challange...out stubborn your body.

I have a bike...I got it marked down at target ...I think about 35 dollars. I haven't rode it much though. Maybe this summer I could take the kids to the park to ride? Karah's still not very fast, and you'd get run over ridding in OUR neighborhood.

I think from a previous post you were eating about 400 calories....try uping that. Try getting in at least 800. I actually shoot for 1000. I know you are getting in protein, but just like too much calories, you can do too little! On days that I exercise I actually try to get in about 200 more. I've found very recently if I don't do this my weight loss STOPS. Your body needs calories just to do your everyday things, if we eat too little our body just gets more and more efficient and makes things even harder. Have you been released to work out yet? Try starting some exercise, if you can, get some light weights to start working on muscle. You may initially show a gain. Take your measurements and if you see a gain...check your measurements...it probally went down some. Hang in there. This is not a sprint....you CAN do this. I've had my moments when I completely broke down and said "I can't do this" thats when the people of this board have told me I can and tried to help me through it. Good luck.

Wavy...Kristen is so mad she is NEVER watching AI again! She thinks it just stupid...she wanted elliot to go. I really don't see that fellow winning thought. Out of those left I think either katherine or taylor. I really thought it would be down to chris and katherine or chris any taylor. I'm rather shell shocked. And someone said earlier when they tried to vote last night they couldn't get through to chris's number....maybe it's all an evil trick and they will come back next week and say...something happen to the phones and have all 4 back again like they did once last year. Drats drats drats. Hubby didn't like chris, so no sympathy there.

What's The Real Deal On Portions?

My nutritionist says 3-4 oz of protien...and then 2 oz of vegtable or side if room. I think my nutritionist is a bit strick though...as I am suppouse to eat less than 20 grams of fat a day and sugar should be less than 12 grams for each serving. I'm suppouse to eat between 800-1000 calories. My diet I get through the nutritionist isthe same diet she has the RNY patients follow. It has left me frustrated more than once trying to meet all the standards. -
Call Dr. B's office and inquire to find out if your other stuff has been faxed yet, let the ladies know that all you preop testing is done and you are just checking to make sure everyone followed through and sent it on like it was suppouse to. Then the ones that didn't get sent...call those doctors and say there must be some mistake at Dr. B's office they haven't received your report yet...could you please refax that, thats all they are waiting ofr. Though the psych report sometimes take the longest (in my experience) to get sent over to the surgeons. I think they like messing with peoples heads too much.

NJchick, we drive the same van, mine is patriotic blue (i think). I love it, though wish I could afford to get hubby a sportier car that I could borrow from time to time. He really wanted a cooper before but has started looking at hybrids because of the gas prices. I have about another 8 months to pay off the town and country and then we will buy his car.

Dilworth coffee in Mtn Island? I almost went there last night while Karah was in dance. That would have been funny to run into you there. I had Kristen with me, so going to the coffee shop is more expensive with her LOL so I decided against it. She went over to the cermanics painting place and painted me something for mothers day. It's cute to see her so excited...she told Karah what it was, then made her promise not to tell. And of course Karah has a big mouth so I've had to stop her from telling me like 3 times already. Glad you had a good bday..it sounds like it was one of those cool days that doesn't start off all that special but ends up being one of the best your remember.

I do what you a describing every few weeks. As a matter of fact the scale showed a gain this morning. I react the same way every time.....I get mad, I rant and I rave (hey it burns calories I'm sure) and then I start thinking back....when was the last time I had a bowl movement...has it been awhile, are my rings tighter overnight?.....Did I do major workout the day before (it makes me retain Water sometimes) I'll tell you now...don't get too concerned at this point...as long as you stay within a few pound range and you are still eating healthy. I know you are still going to be freaking out...and weighing daily, but don't let the scale win. (can you tell I've practiced telling myself this a few times) You have a even better excuse...your body is still healing....weight lost now is all bonus. (yeah I didn't buy that one either...but eveyrone says its true) Good luck, and don't get too stressed and defiently don't eat food you aren't suppouse to just to flip off the scale.

Yep, gained 20 some odd pounds with it too. So much so that my surgeon who doesn't require a pre op diet said. "I need you to loose some weight before surgery to make the surgery easier for me and you." That really knocked me off my food fest! I started eating sensiably and lost 7lbs before surgery. It really sucked being me. And now I think...If I hadn't of gained that 20lbs, I'd be in onelander now maybe? -
LOL Kat, my daughter is so afraid I'm going to want to "share" her clothes that she is making an effort to slim up so she can stay ahead of me. (she is 14 though, and her worst night mare is me dressing like her.)

I have a few long term goals, but also try to keep some short term motivation by getting charms for my charm bracelet. Never seen someone so happy the other day to add a 3 dollar charm to my stainless steel italian charm bracelet! I add a charm for ever 5lbs lost. It will take me too the big 100lbs lost mark. My next goal is to to hit 50lbs. I told myself I'd go get my upper ear repierced then. Only a few more lbs to go! at 69lbs lost I'll be in onederland.....so I thought it approriate because of the number to plan a getaway even if for one night at a hotel with hubby! At 100lbs lost I get to go ahead and start working on the tummy tuck! After tummy tuck and at goal which is another 18lbs I plan to get a really sexy tattoo on my lower back. I need to come up with something cool to do for 75lbs lost.........I'm sure I'll think of something! LOL
