PJTP - good morning! Went to San Antonio this past weekend. Gained 3 pounds!!! I wasn't even THAT bad, but DH said it was probably the drinks we had. Ahh...the drinks!!!! I'm not a fan of Watermelon, but watermelon mojitos - I'd have given it TWO THUMBS UP if I could have. As it was, one hand was clinched tightly around the drink while the other was waving the waiter down for another! LOL So...slimfast today, gym tonight and hopefully back on track the rest of the week! Happy Monday, all...

Michelle....how old is DD? I agree w/you that folks need to ask the parents - even if she was older. I ask parents before anything, and if the kids ask me for stuff while they're visiting my house I say to ask the mom/dad first. Even with toys, or non-edible things....you always ask the 'rents first!

HEY! *...doesn't really help that I was going to ask that very question after reading/skimming new posts, does it? Ha! I'm not as bad as Brandy!!! After one friggen post???? Someone's got their hand on the suspend button and is trigger happy! Bring HH back!!! I like fruit dipped in chocolate....yummm..... Working on my sonic kids meal right now w/apples and caramel. And milk. I feel 4 years old.

This is seriously driving me nuts!
Gone4Now replied to Erin18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know for me, if I'm stressed I can't eat. Today for lunch - I was pissy at DH for something and looked at my salad like, "Ah, man. I can't eat you. I want you. But, I'm too friggen pissed." Time of month, a sneeze, a jerk driver, too early in the morning - anything at all can make me too tight. Seriously, just chill. Take small bites, chew well and if it's that painful and unbearable, go to the doctor. But, when you do go, have a clear and concise description of what it is you are feeling. Write it down if you have to, but be able to explain coherently what is wrong. -
Ditto! Every word, except "morning"! What is this "morning" and is it painful?

susy - I had my gall bladder surgery about 9 months after lapband. I thought I would die when I had fried chicken over a holdiday at DH's parents. I thought it was the worst PB ever. I didn't have to go too long since I was diagnosed on a Tues and had the surgery on a Fri. But, from what I was told and read, low fat foods are the best for gall bladder issues. What are "issues"??? Does that mean you have gall stones? I'd have the doc clarify that one. Does the gall bladder need therapy? (har har har...I crack me up.)

Dinner at your place must have been....interesting.

Your momma's so fat, the only thing keeping her from McD's is the double doors.

The first dirty joke I learned was this: What's the difference between like and love? spit or swallow. I didn't get it for YEARS, then one day was like: OOOOHHHHHH.
-
Ha! Actually, since he's "on his own" there are women that are his friends that I don't know. One, in particular, was his "interest" before I started to work there. She was married, but with problems and he kept hoping she'd leave her DH. She never did and then I worked there. He thought she was just a friend (from her perspective) and that she'd be good friends w/me too. I had doubts and sure enough, she stopped coming around. LOL She's his friend on FB, but not mine. I have thought about inviting her to the wedding, then though F it.

Okay, um, from work I couldn't really see this. I got the idea, but I hadn't seen them. OMFG. Wow. You MUST figure out how to grow them, package and sell! I had to quote it again because it deserved a bump.

Kristine, Excellent post!

Soo...KC's a spitter. Good to know.
-
I signed DH for his own account, and he slowly got into it. Now he's a better farmer than me and he slams me for not getting the right movie quotes. LOL

I love that this is the top of the page when I opened this thread. It's soo...dirty - I love it.

Umm...You mean he WAS your daughter's TKD instructor. Now he's just the perv next door. Find another dojo, and cancel the Christmas Cookies this year. What an asshole. No means no. Is he the type to keep harrassing you later? And, your husband *should* be able to handle this without attacking someone, but if he's not then you need to tell SOMEONE in the neighborhood. Document with someone you can get help from if you need it. What if this continues? What will you do? Step 1 - Explain to DD that his behavior was unacceptable and you, out of respect for yourself and her, are removing her NOW from the class. Tell his boss/owner (like LJM said) and file a formal complaint!!! So what if you're neighbors? This happened at an establishment and a place of business. If he is the owner, then I'd file a complaint legally. I'd call the police and I'd call the BBB. I'm a little stand-offish anyway, and I don't even really know my neighbors, so losing a neighbor to me wouldn't be a big deal. Having my kid witness that and then still accepting it by continuing to take her would kill my self-respect.

Lulu...you never reached 300 lbs like me, so your opinions don't count. Didn't your doctor tell you to gain 100 pounds THEN get banded??? duh
-
I'm so glad I found this site. All I want is support. (Read as: All I want is for people to tell me what I'm doing is okay, because, gosh darn it, that's what I'm going to do anyway whether it's right or wrong.)
-
Because I don't have a life! I'm banded, but ate 2 deep fried chickens today (slider foods for me) and I'm sitting around stuck! I can't go out in public because slime is coming out of my nose, ears and eyeballs. But I'm not worried because someone here told me it was normal and that I just needed to eat ice cream to counteract the sliming. I haven't called my doctor, cause, really...what does he know? So, again - I HAVE NO LIFE. I am ALL about the band and ONLY the band. No other surgery is right for anyone.

I'm kicking myself here...I feel like I'm missing out on gossipy stuff. What's been going on? I HAVE MISSED SO MUCH!!!!!

Heading home soon...got prices, but no actual plans in place. Really upset with doctors right now. DD had blood work done on Aug 5th and I haven't heard back from anyone. Called the lab yesterday - no record at all of my DD. Called the ordering physicians office over and over and over again last 2 days and finally they called back today. No. Record. Of. My. DD. None. At all...as in they asked over and over her name and DOB...I got a lot of, "Ummm....aahhhhhh, welllll. Ma'am, we'll have to call you back." Can ya'll say: SEETHING?

Morning all - Nothing too much to report on the Houston Front. It's muggy, but that's not different. It's hot, but that's not news, either. Had to scramble this week to get DD vaccinated for 7th grade before school started. I really thought I'd have time, and then found out several places were OUT of one or more of the three the state requires. Crappolla...so, scrambled and found something. On the agenda today: plan honeymoon cruise, get plane tickets for DD to visit her dad's mother in FL in October, and then budget (with the two quarters I have left).
-
oooooh....that one hits home a little bit (pre-banding days!) No! Your Momma's so fat, when she walked in front of the t.v. I missed the whole series. Your Momma's so fat, when she dances she makes the band skip.

Poor Grandma!!!! I'd cut those bastards outta the will! (Maybe leave them to the maggots.)

Ebony, I know I'm chiming in a little late, but I 2nd this. Men have no tact, but you gotta roll with it. DH will tell me, "you're wearing THAT today?" I just say, "Nope" or "Yep" depending on how *I* feel about it. I only ask him when I'm really iffey about it. Actually, the grandma comment would have probably had me rolling. But, I've been told my humor is off-center. lol Same here, Heartfire! (Now I get your screen name!) I used to be the property manager for a building that the annunciator (sp?) panel was faulty, but the owner wouldn't fix it. So, every now and then the alarm would trigger and the firemen would show up. YUM, YUM.... Me likes A LOT men in a fireman's uniform!!! Holy Crap!!! I hope that as I get older the family will expand like that. DH's family is "normal" size, and mine is practically non-existent. When my grandparents were alive we'd all gather at their house for holidays, but when they passed, everyone just split and I haven't seen any of my cousins for about 15 years now. So, big families feel safe and warm to me. I'm glad you had a good day, and got to spend it with those who matter the most (even if part of it was at work!). By the time I break in a good pair, they're fuzzy in the thigh area!!!! Dang it! lemme think.... Oh, yeah...THAT'S WHY!!! Happy Tuesday, all!
