I have a bi-polar stepdad. I don't deal very well, and if I were in my mom's shoes, I'd have kicked his ass out. He sometimes doesn't take his medicine and then he'll say that God is telling him to kill her and me. When I was 15 he threatened to break my neck . She wasn't around and didn't believe me...she believes me now! Recently we filled out a mental health warrant and the police came and took him away for about a month. Since then, he's been great. Before that....scary shit. So, I don't have much advice, other than - YOU CANNOT SAVE HIM. Either leave, or learn to deal with the crazy. You cannot fix it. My friends had a party once where they took an egg, onions, and chicken liver and cut it all up, mixed in seasonings and put it on Ritz crackers. I never liked liver before, don't really like it now - except that way. Also remember field dressing a deer in my uncle's butcher shop. The hunters were s'posed to do it, but one guy didn't. Liver isn't very pretty... :frown:

Kinda like KC.... She does sleep - about 4 hours a day! Half my normal sleep requirement. What's in the crock pot? I'm planning a pork roast to be put in tomorrow morning, ready when we get home!

Didn't see any ghosts at the Emily Morgan... But I will say this: That place is creepy. Whether it's the thin walls/windows, or the layout - there is a creepiness there. And, it doesn't help that the elevator has a sing-song voice activated that will say, "9th floor", "going down", "lobby"...sounds almost faint and child like. They need a stronger voice and maybe it wouldn't be sooo....weird. DD did sleep with her light on the whole time, though, so many we scared the ghosts away? lol

I get that, I do...but why not have a little information for those of us left wondering? This has been a cyber "home" to me for the last 2 years. I can remember taking some time off last year when I was switching jobs, but for the most part I have come here every day. I'm not a mod, but that doesn't make this place less to me than it is to you. There are folks I've "met" online here that I feel closer to than folks I've known since high school. There are some I don't care for...others I don't know that well, but the ones that I "see" daily and then are gone, upset me and bother me. Alex has done a great job at creating a family-type environment, but the backfire is that people like me want to know why their friends are gone. This is not a private PM bitch-fest, and I'm sorry that any mod goes through that. I was openly asking a question that I feel I deserves a response - what rule did Carlene break? In 16 posts, I didn't see any, other than really bad taste. If folks who have issues can't PM their Mods, and they can't open new threads, then what do we do? Drink the Kool-Aid and smile?

Well, like I just got banded last week and want to give a bj to all my coworkers (we did a KICK-ASS) job over the weekend. If I do that, will that make me a band slut? LOL, KC - I really just don't get it! I've seen folks attack and be attacked SEVERAL times on this thread and I've NEVER seen the mods smack down so quickly as they have the last few weeks. Even Pinky got smacked down, and she was FUN. lol. So, in all honesty - can any mod answer me? Why so many smack downs and bannings on folks these days?
