Hello...I think we're all forgetting the Blender Rule. If you put it in a blender it becomes a liquid, and that includes pizza, hams, lambs and Bambi's & Thumpers.

I love OB when I'm traveling, or for my purse. At home, I still have the applicators. I was in a bind once and a friend had OB. It was soooo little, I was like, "How the heck is that going to do me any good?" But, it was an amazing little sucker, and now I buy both. (By the way, I love this thread! This is actually the stuff my gf's sit around and talk about. Real crap that women deal with.)

This thread is going to be sooo inappropriate!

I use baby wipes, too...but not to avoid a rash. Just 'cause I like my bottom to have that "feel fresh" softness. My bf thought I was weird (well, other reasons, too!) but now I got him hooked! I've been using them since DD was born 11 years ago. I also use them to dust with and wipe down the shower. -
Yeah, that's a tangle! I think it's similar here to the US. I think the police here would say the same. It's her desk...give it back. I think there are legal proceedings on each side, and in your case your "friend" took full advantage of the laws. (How is it the sleazy people know all those little angles in the law? Or have the nerve to use them???)

No, way. Actually my house is for sale or rent - and I'm happily letting someone else handle the details. It's worth the fee, because I'm not good at this sort of stuff.

I was drunk once (early 20's) and at a busy gas station in DC thought I was "hiding" in the bushes. When I came back to the car, my friends were laughing hysterically at me. Like a dog who thinks its hiding, my head was in the bushes - but everything else was sticking WAY OUT THERE.

Kat, I love that idea about charging! I know my mother helps me out more than I could ever repay her! But, that is a very good idea. I know mom wouldn't take any money from me, but I could start "paying" her w/an account. Privacy is a big deal to me, too, and was often one of my ex-roomie's problems. Once, when she thought I was oversleeping, she barged into my room yelling, "Wake up! You're late!" (I had a doctor's appointment, and was actually trying to sleep in!) I had sooo many issues with that, and we had to have a talk. But, then, she'd turn around and do that same stuff with my DD. Or, she'd pick food off of our plates as she was walking by, despite our saying, "Uh, Hell no!". She never seemed to get boundary issues, no matter what I said. Which is another reason why I'm just leaning towards hauling it out. (I had to haul it to her half of the garage, because she couldn't understand what I meant when I said, "This is your half, that is my half. Your stuff goes in your half." I got a blank stare, and she asked me THREE TIMES to explain it. I finally just moved her crap into the corner myself after 2 weeks of asking her to move it. So, I don't think she'd GET anything I said. I'd rather just be done now. Ack. I'm getting grumpy again! And there are M&Ms present. Must. Not. Eat. From. Frustration!!!!
-
Wow! I'm so sorry. I have a hard time being up front with friends. I feel bad if I get grumpy. Hell, I'm feeling bad because I'm grumpy with the ex-roomie and she's mostly a stranger. (I'd like to know what she does for a living that she can afford all of that!!! I need a career change!)

Birth Control shots. I used to get them once every 3 months (not sure how they do it now, if it's changed or not).

I think you're okay...If you feel really bad, perhaps you can tell the sisters about it - maybe have them for dinner one night(?), but also mention that's it's personal and you'd rather not discuss it at church. The sisters that I've had contact with are wonderful and understanding enough to accept that. (I'm not mormon, actually, but love the sisters from the local ward and often had them over for dinner. They've moved on, but we still keep in contact. They are the lovliest people on Earth.)

As long as you got your Protein in, you'll be fine. I ate 20 chickens the day I was out of surgery and I was okay. So, I think you'll be okay, too.

Are We ready for a Black President?
Gone4Now replied to TheWatcher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
MrsFlipFlops, Interesting about the "Obama is black" statement. I've been thinking about that, and remembered one time my daughter asked if she was black or white. I said both, mixed with a bit of mutt genes from across the globe. It's not a black vs white issue, and I don't get why people don't see that. I'm certainly not voting against Obama because he's part black. That really has nothing to do with it, at all. (If I were to vote based on appearances, I'd vote for him in a heartbeat, because he's smoking hot! IMO) I also can see the points BJean and Elenation are saying about his break with the church. IF it was sincere, and IF he really had no idea that the minister felt that way, then the break was the best thing for him. I will keep an open mind. I'm not happy about Bush, and I am looking for a change. Reading these posts are very interesting to me, and have helped more than the crap you see on tv. I am a deep cynic and feel that nothing on TV is real, or in politics either. I like watching the debates, because it's out of their own mouth - question/answer - or evasion. (Sometimes they talk around answering, but it's still directly from the horses' mouths.) -
MacMadame, You put this perfectly, thank you.

Hm. I'm still going back and forth. I want to be nice, but I want to be mean. I think I'll be both. I think I'll haul it out and say, sure - come get it whenever, it's by curb. The furniture we bought yesterday arrives on Friday at the new house, so I won't be home anyway. I'll have to haul it out in order for her to come get it. I get to avoid her and get rid of her crap all at the same time. Susan - can you get a storage unit in someone else's name, without paying up front?
-
I'm not a dentist, and I don't play one on TV.

I can't do any hormones at all...I had to use a IUD, then bf got "fixed" - GOD LOVE HIM!!! Now it's nothing at all....and we love it. I've tried every pill, aside from the new one Yaz(?) and they all make me cry or angry - and nothing in between. Except, I do have those pesky periods. Mine usually only last a few days, though, with occassional crampings.

Was she really young? I hate it when young folks (I'm 33) say things like, "My teacher is so old..she's like 29 or something." Heirloom microwave...wow. That's how Great-Granny got Thanksgiving dinner on the table!
-
LOL...Yeah, she's great. She's my hero. JJ and Stupid don't mix.
-
Oooh...wait-a-minute! I love Judge Judy...Except, I'd embarrass myself. I can hear it now: JJ: Is it her desk? Me: Yes. JJ: Then give it back, YOU BIG BABY! Me: But, but....I don't want to. I don't like her. Don't make me. JJ: GIVE IT BACK, CASE CLOSED. Hmm...Okay, nevermind. Avoidance of JJ would be a good thing. Thanks everyone. I realize I'm being unreasonable. High road always wins, right?

I like that idea...I could do that. I could limit it to a certain time frame, too! I don't have all day to wait around. I have off on Friday, and she knows that, but I was actually planning to do things. Another thorn in my side.... I will be accommodating, I know it already. I just don't wanna. You know when you have tons of stress going on, serious things in your life that make you crazy, you're holding on by a thread and some jackbutt jumps in your way? And you just let loose everything at that one person? She's there now, and I just want to take it all out on her, and partly it's deserved, but I know part of it isn't... <Sigh> I'll hand over the desk... But I'm so NOT chatting about the weather. ...stamps foot and inserts thumb....

At least now w/a canopy you won't get burned when you're outside. Although, since you're already burned, I guess it's a moot point, huh? I like No Ad sun block. It's not greasy and it doesn't smell bad. Or good. Here in Houston, if you smell like a fruit or a flower, bugs are all over you. So, I have to avoid the nice smelling lotions and sunblock.
-
Oh, yeah..I almost forgot! My "first tampon" story. When I was young, my mother wouldn't let me use tampons. I was at my friend's house and all they had were xl tampons and I needed one. So, her older sister told me, "Just stick it up there. No biggie." Right. Except I didn't know you had to pull off the card board part. So, I just "stuck it up there" and we went out to ride bikes. I got 1/2 way down the driveway and said, "I can't do this...it's too uncomfortable. The cardboard part hurts." Needless to say, they all laughed their butts off at me. And, me, too. I never went back to pads after that, though.

I had sun poisoning once before. Sunburns are bad enough! Poor Froggi! We went to Hawaii a few years back and we climbed Diamondhead - with no water, no sun block...we did NOT do our research ahead of time. I got very sunburned, and then like an idiot went out the next day to the beach! No sunscreen! I don't *normally* burn, but I guess the different sun and environment played a part. I came back to the hotel with blisters all over, a fever and I was shaking uncontrollably, but couldn't put covers on because it hurt so damn badly. Never again! I use sunblock now...except apparently I suck at the applying it, cause I'm sunburned! Ever have days where you just feel really, really STOOPID??? DeeDeeDEEEEE
-
I do. I'm pushy that way. I'd also like to post to say I have a sun burn in weird patches because I didn't apply my sunscreen correctly. Where I thought I had put it, I didnt', so I have finger sized streaks down my arm. On the plus side (no pun intended) I bought a size 18, two pc bathing suit at Kohls - on sale and it fit! I love it! It holds my DD boobies very nicely and I actually look - good. Not great...I'm still fat, after all! But, I am no longer the fattest person at the beach.

I love tampons, and can't wear anything else unless I'm having horrible cramps. Which, thankfully aren't that often. For when my dd starts (she just turned 11, so it won't be long) I want her to wear pads for at least a year. I know that wearing them when I was younger helped me find my "flow" and how it felt. I think that's important. If she wants to swim or do some other activity where tampons make more sense I won't be opposed.
