Viagra in his suitcase before trip

Wow...I'm with the posts who said go with the gut. So sorry, though. I would think since he's taken it for 3 years, he'd know "how it works" and if he was going to take one, SHOULDN'T YOU BE TOLD? Geesh.....if it were true, talk about a guy with no foreplay skills. Sorry to make light of your situation, but I think you know the answer. I used to date a guy that would sneak out of bed to watch porn. I was grumpy because HEY, I'M RIGHT HERE. But, he wanted to be alone. But I never trusted him, and things didn't work out for many other reasons. Is this the only trouble you guys have? Is there any other reason that you may not trust him?

No, no...none of that, Ms. Lady at the Top! You can't let anything take away from your strength. YOU CAN DO IT. Want to? Not so much. But, a year from now you'll be far away from this. Where were you a year ago? Two years? Things change and get better, even though you have to go through bad to get there. That's what gets me through hard stuff. "In one year, everything will be different, and a year goes by sooo fast. Blink - and it's gone." So, I guess my half-assed advice is blink a lot.

    Art

I'm not very creative, and I can't view the pics at work. I'll go home, though and look. If I can drag out some old poetry, I may get brave enough to post some of it. It's been a long while since I felt compelled to write.

Fiscal reality...where can I get a dose of that? I'm staring at my coffee cup, wondering if my boss would notice if I slipped some Bailey's into. Then I remembered: I don't have Baileys. Seems all my realities are off whack.

 yep. I definitely learned my lesson. I never have paid in advance on anything, and I was like "whoo-hoo!" Darn Whoo-hoo. It gets me every time.

You can do it, Tap! We can do this. Repeat: We can do this. I just have to chant that to myself until "The Voices" go away.

I hate it when people post just to post.....

It's 7:26am, and I'm so tired my eyes are stinging. Staying up late last night crying didn't help either. I feel like a big 'ole baby. I made a critical bank error (I suck with money). I posted some "pay ahead bills" early last week and dated them for tomorrow. Well, DD's clarinet was way more than I thought it would be, so went online to the bank over the weekend to change the dates. After all, that's why I dated them when I did...and they aren't bills that are really due - I was just paying ahead on some... Well, my bank has a 4-day prior to the date it's posting policy which means I can't change the dates. I went in to look and they aren't listed under pending, they're under processed. WTH? So, I called yesterday and was told that I can't change the dates. The 4-day crap is in the "fine print" and it's my error so any bank fees that come with the overdraft won't be waived. Damn it. So, being processed right now are a bunch of bills that I can't pay right now. Damn, damn, damn. And, it's because I thought I was actually ahead of the game, and paying off stuff in advance...ha ha ha. Silly, Gloucester, Trix are for kids.

    Science 101

 Sorry...! I guess I'm not all that clear sometimes - and not very accurate when throwing around scientific terms. Theory s/b replaced with something else, I guess. I meant, when I was explaining to DD about a specific amount of fat being lighter than the same specific amount of muscle. Like a tsp, or a cup vs. a measurment of weight. I don't say pound to pound, fat is lighter, cause that's stupid and wrong. I say tsp vs tsp, fat is lighter than muscle.

    September exercise challenge?

I know I get hung up on the scale. It's funny how crazy I am about it now, and I'm not sure why I couldn't catch myself at this weight on the way UP. But, yeah...my clothes fit looser, especially in the butt and legs. So, I need to start paying more attention to the good than bad. Thanks!

    September exercise challenge?

Wow...12 pounds heavier than the lab. I have a yellow lab at home and that visual just hit. One day I'll be only a few pounds heavier than her - what will I do then? She's a beast now on the leash. It never occurred to me that our walks would get WORSE. (I have a white Boxer who is the perfect lady, though she looks like a deep-sea monster. People are scared of her, but she's a doll and very well behaved on the leash.) Another thing that didn't occur to me was the time that it takes me now to go only 1 mile, in a few weeks will still be the same time, just longer mileage. Duh...I know that's a normal progression when I think about it, I just never saw me as "that type". I have a question: Did your weight loss stall, or not drop, when you began exercising? My weight won't budge. It's been 3 weeks of contant moving and NADA.

    Questions on exercise:

Thanks! I found that article interesting...especially the part about having flexible feet will likely be a cause. I used to pick up my dogs bones w/my toes and play catch. (Didn't have the musical talent to try the piano, though!)I'll look into getting those inserts. As for the treadmill...I'm sort of broke right now. I've added it to my Christmas list, though. Wish me luck that it lasts until then!

    Questions on exercise:

I posted these in the Aug c25k thread, but didn't find any takers. I'm hoping some regular exercise experts can help. I get a tingly sensation in my right foot, in the toes. This happens after about 10 - 15 minutes of walking/running. Does anyone else feel this when they exercise? If so...what is it? Does anyone use a treadmill? If so...what can I do to fix mine - it "skips" every now and then. If I weren't holding on to the handles, I'd go flying off. It's almost like it slides forward, and then heads back. Am I too fat for it? (It had a 250 wgt limit, I'm at 230 now...It's electric, not manual. It was used and is about 5-7 years old.) Does it need greasing?

    September exercise challenge?

Okay...I'm extremely overwhelmed and intimidated by you guys! I have been reading, but not participating... I have been keeping up with the c25k program. This is the 1st day of week #3. Which, I haven't even looked at yet. I'll go home and just do it, no matter what it says. Over the weekend, we hiked around a small lake in our neighborhood with the dogs, and swam. I did about 20 laps in my mothers pool (standard size.) Nothing huge, but definitely more than I'm used to. I can't play with the big kids yet, but I'm getting there.

    Givin' up the ice cream

LOL! Yeah, poor guy. I told him there's nothing wrong w/running out on the weekend, or that kind of thing, but having it in the house is BAD. One time we had Oreos and I think I ate them all in one weekend. He sat down on that Sunday night to eat some and opened the package to reveal 2 left. He said, "I didn't get any of these." I was like, "Duh...told you not to buy it." He's a big guy, but it's from 2nd / 3rd helpings of real food. My fatness came from junk food. It's definitely something I've been fighting, and will win - eventually.

    Givin' up the ice cream

Hm...I'm thinking if I hide the ice cream in the cupboard, that would solve my problems with actually eating it. Tap - have you considered N/A (Nuts Anonymous?) Step One - Admit you have a nut problem. Step Two....

    Givin' up the ice cream

Well, I had to twist DH's arm to NOT buy any more ice cream. So, ice cream is gone...sherbet is gone and there is no more junk food in the house. He said he was tempted to buy it, but didn't. So, yes! Today is a better day!

    Givin' up the ice cream

Okay, okay. Confessions here. I did not do so well this weekend. I had ice cream, and then last night I had sherbet. It's just sooo good. Bad, Gloucester! I did exercise though...it was a beautiful weekend here in Houston.

Couch to 5K for August...who's in?

Hi, Pharmchic! Nice to meet you. I'm on my third week doing the program, but I've done week 1 twice and week 2 once - going on twice. I'm just a little nervous to push myself but I am suprised at how easy it's getting. I have games on a bookshelf right in front my treadmill, and one is the new Monopoly "Here and Now". I stare at those words, thinking this is new ME...here and now. I also have Cranium, and the tag line is "You won't believe what your friends can do." I skip the words and just read "You won't believe what you can do." I know it sounds really korny, but it gets me through the running parts when start to feel tired. :-)

Oh, my! Nothing like sexy underwear to be the topic of discussion at the family gatherings. Beats conversations about sports and politics, though. I can hear it now: "Hey...how 'bout that lacy underwear?"
