It's a tough call...and again, immigration is a problem all the way around. But, for this case, I don't think this guy was getting off on it. If anything, I'd think it's a stressful place to be for him. His cattle were being killed off, trash was being piled on his property. He owns all that land and can't enjoy it. What should he do? I disagree that he should hide in his house. I've called cops becuase neighbors were outside smoking pot and throwing beer bottles in my yard. The cops get there and the party-people are gone by then. What have I done? Collected the beer bottles and thrown them away. The first time. The second time, I collected them all and dumped them in their driveway. Me, in his shoes - I'd be pissed about the loss of time, money and property. And, I'd probably beat the crap out of someone for harassing my dogs, and they aren't even a source of income for me like the cattle are for him. I don't think so extremely as some, but I definetly see the need to defend ourselves from this kind of thing from happening. I would image if these folks had crossed over and not made any trouble then he may have turned the other cheek. (My opinion...no way of knowing, though.) I just know I would have looked the other way if they didn't cause me problems. But, this is their first introduction into the country and they're killing cattle and leaving a trail of trash. I think I'd be grumpy, too. And after years of it, I'd be worn down, too.

LOL...no worries! I don't like the pink team much anyway. I really like Tara more and more. Oooh...and that good looking blue team!

Damn! I read this without thinking!!!! D'oh! Must. Stay. Away...

I have a hard time with my Aussie friend's accents! And they think they don't have one! LOL I like movies like Snatch and other movies w/brogues and I admit, I have to rewind it to hear again what they've said. My ears aren't that good!

I am...but we paused it to work with math problems with DD...we're about 10 mins behind real time.

I have an Aussie friend (from Adelaide) who saw Australia and thought it was the biggest piece of crap he'd seen. Which is a shame, cause it did look like it had the potential to be good. I like all types of movies...from the chick flicks, to the epics, to the blow 'em up and flash your boobies kind of movie. I liked Nicole Kidman in Peacemaker, but nothing else really appealed to me. Same with Russell Crowe in Gladiator. Yum. He doesn't have to speak or act, really...just glisten. Don't know much about the murder mysteries. What would you recommend for a newbie to those?

I forgot! I have wine. I'm getting some now...settling down to watch Biggest Loser. How twisted is that? But I did exercise today! I won't feel guilty. Damn...too late. Oh, well...wine will wash that away...

That does...thank you...and those are the points that you make that I agree with. I cringe, though, when I read some of what you write because you do seem to throw out somewhat deragatory sentiments and I think that takes away from the points that you're trying to make. (I know you don't care about what others think, but kind of like others on the board that we all know and loathe, radical extreme thoughts tend to push even those who agree with you away.) just my .02

Anyone notice Post Banders are a bit snobbish?

I have the same problem. Spell check doesn't include the correct combo of muahahaha...whatever. What you can do is put: ...insert evil laugh... Lame? Yes. Effective? No. Spelled correctly? Yes. -
A coworker went to Jury Duty and came back without being selected. The guy on trial was there because of having over an ounce of cocaine on him....the sentence he was facing was 2-4 years and the other would-be jurors were complaining that the sentence was too harsh. I don't have an issue with the more...natural...drugs (think Phelps), but I think 2-4 years for coke is an okay sentence, IMO.

Well, he was totally bald. That I know.

Please explain this for me. What's a home-grown American? What was it 100 years ago? 200 years ago? Are we really so set against change that we can't rethink an immigration policy now? 200 years ago, half my ancestry wasn't "home grown", and the other half were dying off. 100 years ago, DH's ancestors were Hawaiian - now they're "home-grown" Americans. I'm 100% behind the right for defending your home and land, and I 100% agree that immigrants shouldn't sneak in and destroy property. What I disagree with is the "I am American and you're not" mentality. America is so young and has changed so much over the last couple centuries, I don't understand why people are so set against change now. It won't be created here on LBT, but I do wish that policies regarding immigration would change. And, for the record, I do hope that this rancher is proven innocent and this case dismissed. His land. Period. And, like Plain says...that's a lot of body burying land to be had. If he'd really wanted to be evil, he had the opportunity. I get the impression by reading this thread that folks are veering from the original post - this rancher and the people who are destroying his land - to immigrants as a whole. I don't think we can lump any group of people into categories like "vermin". That, IMO, is disrespectful to folks who do work hard, and didn't have the opportunity to be born here. There are folks that are scum, stupid, etc...but they don't come marked with a standard "non-American" label.

I will take them! DH never has to know.

Oh...there they all are! I just had to post to see them all. Apparently I won't be posting just to post, I'll be posting to reload the postings that were posted just to post - by other posters. And, fuzzy wuzzy was a wuss.

Help! I can't see new posts. I know they're there...my phone keeps getting the notifications and I log in to view and the last one I see is mine from earlier! I want juicy leg hair posts, but I can't view all the details on my phone. Stealing from a 1980's ad that I remember very well... "I want my LBT!"
-
Thank you! That does help knowing that it's possible. Sometimes I'm not so sure... :tongue2:

I have a pair of 14's in my closet. Started at 24 and currently am 18's. I'm working on it! I know 14's aren't the final goal, but for me it's just a mini-goal. I have the size 24's hanging behind them so I can see the inches difference in the size.

I'm reeling after the "who are they" comment. How are radicals like this banded? Don't they think it goes against God to mess with it like that?
-
I'm so there! Yessir! Over a year! Fish makes me gag was over a year ago??? Wow.... 10,000! (Unless I multi-quoted wrong...)
-
You did it! Yay...
-
What view is that? Am I in some strange view? Oh, yeah...this is coming out a little later, but when did LBT change? How do I change back? I miss BBK at the top!

So, you have an excuse to be nutty. I've just got my craziness. :rose: I can post this: I called to make a fill appt and I insisted on it being flouro (Thanks, Donna!). The nurse said Doc didn't normally do that because it's under surgical procedures. I insisted, so she'll make the appt mid-March. I'm really hoping that this will get me over the hump I've been in.

I just don't think I can do this.

I called today...he's out of town this week and I'll be in required meetings the next two weeks after that. I did talk to the nurse, whom I adore, and she was very encouraging. I stressed that I wanted a flouro fill and she'll arrange that. I just need to make sure everything is still okay. Please don't be depressed RSG - just keep trucking through. On a funny note, DH tried to help by telling me I have a lot of extra skin. My bf and I started laughing, and he looked sincerely confused, as if what he said really was HELPING me feel better. Sarcastically, I said, "Oh...really? A lot?" and he said, "OH YEAH! A LOT." Gee, thanks hon. Now I feel 100% better. I'm not fat, just saggy and loose.
